Everyone saying his form disappeared the moment the fight began in earnest - slow the video down to 0.25x speed and watch the actual fight again. Black shirt didn't land a single strike, because red shirt dodged, deflected, or blocked every single one. Red shirt also uses a mix of strikes depending on the openings, while maintaining the restraint to abort a strike and return to his stance when the opening closed. Red shirt absolutely knew what he was doing, and his only real failing was being so eager to fight.

I mean, how can you not love that kid. The actual fight part looks messy, but when you slow it down, you see, he actually had very good footwork and dogded his opponents punches, stepping to an outside angle and threw kind of Hun Gar or Long Fist style strikes, of which the last one connected beautifully. Also checking everyone was out of the dangerzone, he wasn't blindsided, etc - I mean, you gotta give it to him, he did very well.
Yeah I'm pretty sure if I went to your grandma's bedside I could do well against her too in a flght. The opponent is significantly weaker and smaller than he is. This guy didn't win with skill it's just that his opponent was simply weaker on top of the fact he doesn't know a tab but how to throw a punch or defend himself. Karate guy was sloppy and threw punches with the mere hope that they would land in which with a tab of luck mixed with his opponent being entirely incapable he landed it
@@keithfields1756my brother in Christ, you could not beat my grandma in a fight. Because if you were fighting her, there’d have been some necromancy involved beforehand. @@ferhanslamang370he lost his form the second the gangster fully engaged😂. He was lucky the gangster was built like a twig and didn't have any fighting instinct at all😂
Ok. So, for people saying he is faking his shit, he’s not. His stance, movements and form demonstrate he has working knowledge of the Karate system. Low center of mass to help from being pushed to the ground on his back. He actually switches between Kiba-, Zenketsu-, and Kokutsu-dachi stances. At around 45 sec when he circles the opponent he even steps using Kake. Here his applying pressure as well as controlling the arena by creating a larger space because black shirts friends were beginning to crowd his right space. On the left he had gravel which would make fighting more difficult. He had enough perception to know people would move away instinctively. Fast forward to them standing prepared for mutual combat and clearing the field of people you can clearly see that our hero, redshirt, has taken off his shoes. We can see from this that he is more comfortable without shoes because that’s how he has trained. He’s most likely not participated in street fights or trained using shoes, which is normal. We are taught not pick fights, diffuse aggression, and not let pride guide your hands. He most likely could have stepped away. Or maybe decided to engage in order to intimidate the rest of his friends hanging up on him, because he seemed to be alone. So he might have decided to make an example of blackshirt. Which worked very well in the end. Obvs everyone was intimidated. He was also not the aggressor. And it was nice of him to allow blackshirt to setup. He could have wrecked him at any other time if he wanted to. At around 1:10 he reversed stance. With his right arm forward he put himself where he could block punches from either one of blackshirts hands using only his right arm and being able to strike with his left. His back is open though, but that’s no problem against a novice or below novice like blackshirt. He wouldn’t be throwing any kicks into redshirts back and kidneys. Now we see him decide to engage. Blackshirt isn’t, so he needs to end this quickly before the crowd gets too excited and crowds in too much, which is already starting (approaching to spectate is just a weird human thing) He feints a back hand. Finally, he gets blackshirt to attack. Blackshirt throws a confusing punch in which he throws both arms forward. Redshirt blocks both of blackshirts arms. Really, go frame by frame. It looks weird sloppy because it’s strange to block two arms at once and again, he is not some black belt master, you know? Blackshirt now goes berserk flailing attack mode. Redshirt evades the first set of punches, returns to form (he’s always trying to return to form in the midst of a barrage of flailing arms, that’s another indicator of being trained). He miss his punch. Hear if the moment, not prepared enough to keep perfect cool in a street fight situation. Not used to a crowd and so many distractions. He then blocks (yes blocks) the next couple attacks. Again, check. Manages to return to stance for a sec and blocks appropriately but with poor form. Seeing the opening he then chops his left hand, where he is able to use blackshirts momentum to redshirts left causing blackshirt to miss his punch, while also blocking blackshirts field of vision. And at that moment redshirt drives his final right blow. Look at 1:22, you can see the left hand block. Sloppy, yes. But at least he was able use his mind and muscle memory to try and return to stance. And he really does block or evade every punch deliberately. Look at 1:20, he shoots he left arm to high block because my now he is aware that blackshirt keeps throwing punches from above. Ideally he would have backed up quickly, let blackshirt throw wildly, then counterattacked. He did end up having a spectator blocking him from retreating. And retreating is not a demonstration of fear, it’s a tactic for counters. Again, not a pro, but his preparation wasn’t bad. I think purple to blue. Street fight with a crowd against a move set that is unknown since most likely you’ve been sparring with mostly karate fighters. Good experience for redshirt I think

@@PlatinNr1actually his stance kept him very grounded, most times people lose against these haymaker barrages is cause they are put on the backfoot and lose balance up close. all the extra flair in his movements were definitely pointless but the essential teachings def did something for him

Nah bruh, he has no technique. His stance was constantly changing. He was clearly bluffing. He just so happened to be better than the other guy and reacted faster.
He intentionally moved left and right and moved his arms around and the other guy took the bait . He was constantly trying to mess with the other guys perception . He simply set him up. That’s what you’re seeing

Damnnn I remember watching this video like 10+ years ago I was expecting better from red shirt, I mean he still knocked out the other guy but it was a sloppy fight - I was expecting some masterful shit after his initial pose 😂
His opponent was literally hesitant to fight. so theres no reason why he should pull out his deadly technique and his form of fighting was enough to prove he is good at martial arts.
@@kyragamon6219 The "deadly stuff" doesn't exist. Lethewei and early MMA had very little rules, yet Kung fu practitioners didn't dominate. The guy was fighting someone who couldn't fight, and likely never trained. The guy in red at the lest learned physical conditioning from his kung fu training. Movies have fooled too many people into thinking people can actually fight like in John Wick or Jason Borne movies.
The concept is to block your enemy's first attack attempt with the palm in front, then strike fast with the fist that is in the ready to punch position.

Watch in slo-mo. He swiped the black dudes haymaker away. Albeit lost balance for a moment but then regained composure and got back in stance. Swiped another punch, then struck with a counter which missed by a hair. Then waited for another punch. And countered it succesfully as his palm landed and struck the black shirt dude square in the jaw. To the untrained eye it looks like he had no technique. But they fail to notice that: 1. His feet never criss crossed once. This allowed him to be stable the entire time so that he can move and parry quickly in any direction. Look at the other guys feet. 2. He used an open fist. One has to instinctively used that. 3. He was defensive and waited for counters. He was pretty solid here.
It's a haymaker, it has power but is easy to read because it's a long easily telegraphed swing, anybody could dodge or parry an undisciplined punch like that. You can tell just by the way red shirt holds his punches he doesn't know what he's doing, any martial arts instructor would have walked up and adjusted his punch form in his first classes, gotta keep the back of your hand flush with your arms to deliver full power and keep them from getting broken but this kid has it all crooked up, not trained at all. Really it was a sloppy fight with no real technique, but just enough psychological posturing to get into his opponents head and luck to land a shot when his equally undisciplined opponent overextended.
I love how the dude in black was scared shitless when he saw the other guy's stance.

Agreed. And black shirt shat it. I watched in slow mo. Was jt messy, yeah, did it work... yeah...

The actual fight part looks messy, but when you slow it down, you see, he actually had very good footwork and dogded his opponents punches, stepping to an outside angle and threw kind of Hun Gar or Long Fist style strikes, of which the last one connected beautifully.
Also checking everyone was out of the dangerzone, he wasn't blindsided, etc - I mean, you gotta give it to him, he did very well.
yeh its either hung ga or choy li fut, those swing punches are iconic.
Or it was just, luck...
Seriously though, it’s true the guy was relatively sloppy in form, but this video is like 30 years old. Lmao .... all that posturing and the karate stances and he ends up throwing haymakers. 🤣
Exactly
Still, flawless victory.
I think it was to give the other a fair fight
Blackshirt isn’t, so he needs to end this quickly before the crowd gets too excited and crowds in too much, which is already starting (approaching to spectate is just a weird human thing)
He feints a back hand.
Good experience for redshirt I think
i would 100% watch a documentary of you explaining these kinda fights.

But they fail to notice that:
1. His feet never criss crossed once. This allowed him to be stable the entire time so that he can move and parry quickly in any direction.
Look at the other guys feet.
2. He used an open fist. One has to instinctively used that.
3. He was defensive and waited for counters.
He was pretty solid here.

You're totally on point!

Ok thanks Joe Rogan 😂
