    You made this two years ago well, I’m just seeing it right now on my Ipad Pro but there’s a lot of money there and lenses I know because I got quite a few and I bet you I got about five or $6000 or more in lenses alone. I love I had one when I was younger. I liked it, but I don’t know whatever happened to it, just it just disappeared from my house for some odd reason my later years of retirement I went back to Pinte so I like them. Thank you for showing me these lenses.

    Nice kit. I have/had five of them myself. I will snap buy a 50-135mm with a PLM motor if they ever make one.
    No Limiteds? I have a 15mm and 70mm. Let me warn you, though, that once you buy a Limited, you're going to want to start buying more. :)
    I see you have a catch in focus video that I need to watch.
    Keep up the good work.

      Thanks mate! Me & you both, that would be my perfect lens a DA*50-135 PLM! I know I need to try a limited series lens, I've seen loads of top images produced using those lenses by some very talented togs. For the stuff I shoot a 135mm limited could be perfect, I know Sony have a nice looking version of that.
      Yeah I've done a CIF video using the Pentax SMC-A 70-210mm, I was really surprised by the results. With some practice it's a top feature to have, especially for the vintage glass that can make use of it!

    Have the kit 18-55mm, DA 50mm and the 55-300mm PLM in common, my top picks from your collections would be the 2 PLM lens.
    Additionally I've the fisheye Pentax 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 which is a very underrated lens, the behemoth that is the Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8, a DA 35mm F/2.4, the Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Macro and the weird super macro Mitakon 20mm F/2. I've a few older manual lenses Takumar 28mm F/2.8, Pentax-M 50mm F/1.4 & 135mm F/3.5. Also have a Pentax Q with a 01 Standard Prime and 06 Telephoto zoom. GAS you say? No I'm simply a discerning collector of fine/unusual cameras/optics :)
    Recommendations? Optically the Sigma 18-35mm is excellent but it weighs a lot. The Tamron 90mm is terrible for AF but has a manual focus clutch and an aperture ring; the images are lovely from this lens. Wide open the Pentax-M 50mm is a little soft but detailed (nice for portraits), has in my opinion a nice 3D pop to it. If you wanted to do more street photography I'd suggest the Pentax Q (or Pentax MX-1) fun little camera that doesn't draw as much attention as a DSLR

    Hi. Do you have any suggestions for operating Pentax lenses with an Aperture ring? I have recently got one and am battling to get the lens to focus. When i first got the camera I eventually got the lens to work. I have since then used another lens on the camera. I've attached this Aperture Ring lens back onto the camera and have followed the instructions by the book (Manual) but it still won't focus.
    I.e. When I first used it, it would motion to focus and not focus but eventually I got it to work but now after the swap it just locks and gives a red box - and a blurred image if it does release on a green box.
    If you have any suggestions that may help with using the lens with Aperture ring, please let me know.
    Thank you

    • @LeeIveson
      @LeeIveson  7 месяцев назад

      Ah that's sounds frustrating! Are you using the lens with catch in focus mode?

    • @lizamardon4655
      @lizamardon4655 7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for that. No. Unfortunately that's not working either. It makes no effort to focus. It still just gives a red box. The camera wants to Operate but the lens doesn't budge. The dial in the lens moves from from side to side but it makes no effort to focus. I've swapped lenses a couple of times and tested different settings when I've put the 320mm back on in the hopes of stumbling across the right setting. But that hasn't worked. Clicking the Aperture Ring Permittef button and turning the aperture ring to lock on A also hasn't worked.
      Do you have any other suggestions for me to test?
      Thanks

      Could be an option, I'd like to try the 70-210 f4. If that has AF somewhere as quick as my 55-300PLM then I would consider selling a good few lenses. I agree, until we try something for ourselves we are just going off others opinions.
