    Very good comparison vid and your comment on the person's weight is also very relevant to the ride and something many shoetubers don't bother to mention.... let's say I'm 72 kilos which is relatively light......but most runners you see at marathons and park runs are indeed on average 10kg heavier...so it's like running whilst carrying two 5 kilogram weights in each hand...which will compress the foam a lot more.....my take is the heavier runners need to lay off the squishy stuff if they want to reduce their times.

    • @run-are
      @run-are  22 дня назад

      @@user-bx6zm5gj8g Yep, nailed it. The ride is very much influenced by the runner's weight. Thanks for your comment.

      Very much a long run and easy day shoe, which is it’s in intended purpose. As runners when we rant about how the v1 and v2 are good race day options the brand listens to that. They don’t want us racing in anything but the shoes they label as race day shoes.

    Just got back from doing 15km moderate run in the SC Trainer V3, I have a Greek shape foot and my second toe (longest) is in a lot of pain, the shoes are definitely not too short as I normally allow a bit of extra room and this is also evidenced by the insole. The problem is there is barely any cushioning between the carbon plate and your foot, so the carbon plate is quite prevalent right through but especially at the toes. I’m not sure whether I could add extra padding of if I should just sell them now.

    I use Superblast for long runs - is Superblast 2 worth the upgrade? Also,, can SC Elite V4 be better for long runs? I am talking 15-30km runs at cca 05:00/km pace. thanks,

    • @run-are
      @run-are  19 дней назад +2

      @@henya2409 there isn't much between the Superblast models...very similar. I honestly prefer the SC Elite v4 over all these shoes for a long run shoe. Lighter, softer, more bounce and most of all more fun. I do my long runs at about the same pace as you also. I'm a pretty light guy so I don't get much bounce out of either Superblast. If you like a softer ride then the Elite v4 is worth a shot.

      LMAO ok buddy, over 90% of runners are heel strikers whether they want to believe it or not. Have you had run mapping done or are you just assuming because you think you are a bad ass? You do realize striking with heel or midfoot or forefront doesn't matter, what matters is form and follow through.

    • @run-are
      @run-are  22 дня назад +2

      @@johnsonch7292 the Neo Vista is best on the market in my opinion. Softer, more bounce, more energy return, smoother, more efficient, more versatile just not as durable as the Superblast. I have run a half marathon in it at tempo pace and it was also amazing. Bootie upper looks a bit weird but it's very effective for my foot. It probably feels a bit strange to walk in because of the heel bevel.
