Rick Ross was not the king of Crack. The king of crack is a man by the name of Yayo a Dominican man who’s older now maybe in his mid 70’s. He invented crack and he made an empire selling it in the 80’s in NYC and teaching the king pins of that time how to cook it and distribute it. Rick Ross pushed a lot of crack but he’s in no way the king of crack.
Why do you think it's deceptively intelligence? Personally I respect that he's basically self taught and furthermore he took on the principle of learning from others or his peers at the time and successfully enumerated that into his own modus operandi. I don't really judge where or how a person comes up as long as they have the drive and initiative for self improvement and development, the hardest thing to do in this world is source and build a team of people with this mindset.

WTH. What a big disconnect. Just because people lived in a city or a large "urban" area doesn't mean they live in the hood or ghetto. People have watched toooo many movies. Freeway Ricks experience is HIS experience and he doesn't speak for the majority of black people. When he says WE, he's speaking for himself and the people around HIM. All black people weren't drug dealers and/or users, killers, criminals, drop outs, thieves or on welfare. Most black people have never been to jail, do not commit crimes or been on welfare. Numbers are inflated in our communities due to the large influx of immigrants from the Continent and the Carribean especially in the 70s thru the 90s due to recidivism.

Incredible interview, absolutely stunning revelations. I happened to live in Costa Rica during the early 1980’s. In particular a spot named Pavones where a guy named Danny Fowlie, bought 10 miles of coastline which included a World Class surfing destination, but it turned out he was dealing with Rafael Caro Quintero at the time. Also, that’s where I ran into the Hawaiian’s like Fast Eddie Rothman, members of the Contra leadership being paid by the CIA in San Jose, Costa Rica etc.

Horrible interview. How about letting Ricky finish a thought? He's fascinating. You're the opposite. & don't you think it's time you lose the "Vanilla Ice" signature hairdo? Do you actually comb it forward like that everyday when you look in the mirror & go, "yeah, that's it, as cool as Vanilla Ice"? I'm pretty sure even Vanilla Ice has stopped sporting that clown do.
If this guy grew up in different circumstances he would be running a Fortune 500 company Makes u wonder how many ppl could have done great things if they had a opportunity

I found this pod recently and it's becoming my favorite. So good. Just bought the book so pumped to read it.
Rick is so cool man, you could listen to him for days.
Rick Ross was a C.I.A. puppet on a string!
Rick Ross is an unbelievable story and human this clown interviewing him needs some education on how to deal with a man of this calibre
Rick is deceptively intelligent and a true gentleman..
Your correct 💯.yes sir
@@Elit3istyou're both right but stop being facetious..you know what he means
@@deondrejones2714 nah we didn't. i think buddy just poorly phrased his complement. there is no such thing as "deceptively" intelligent. you are either intelligent or unintelligent. stupid man.
His tale will always stay interesting, a guy that made a business somewhere in LA having no idea at the moment he was part of a international conspiracy. AND HE LIVED TO TELL THE TALE!
Because he didn’t know that’s why he was left alive
@@imurgodsgod Bro, he was selling tons! Even if he didn't knew there would always be someone thinking 'he knows too much' such a convenient thought and he came off.. That's divine luck right there.
Talked to freeway rick on the phone in 2023 gave me some wise words 💯 nothing but love and respect for the man
How did you manage that ?
Mad cap 😆
Really I really wanted to watch this interview but it was so hard to do so with all the interruptions and the interviewer is basically telling Rick Ross story for him it became very annoying and distasteful. Just a small request when you invite somebody on your show let them tell their story let them answer the questions. I appreciate all your hard work and research that you put in for the interview but let the story breathe and let them have a moment to get the words out and you just guide the conversation not take over the conversation💯💯💯
I love how at 1:01:30 Johnny get so excited about Rick's brilliant chess move here. Was laughing because you can tell our friend Johnny just loves the game. Genuine moment of excitement: "This is Brilliant!" Love it
Bro justified cooperating against the police by saying “it was my investigation “, HAHA I mean he’s not wrong but idk lol no hate on him just saying it’s funny af
Much respect I was a CO he was on my floor he always conducted himself as a gentleman a true mastermind.
One thing I love is a freeway Rick Ross interview I’ll sit in the car with a bottle and watch the whole thing no problem
Sounds like you’re on a roll bud now let’s Start driving and up the ante a little bit
Switch the bottle out for an 8ball
Literally had the government as his plug, only in America 🤷♂really chill dude for all hes seen/been thru, cheers for this.
rick is a gem!! always enjoy watching his interviews
This is the real Rick Ross not to be confused with the fake rapper rick ross that stole his name who use to be a correctional officer
Freeway Ricky was the real life Wii Sports Matt that’s why he was good at tennis
The real Rick Ross. I knew about him before the rapper too. Im glad to see hes still kickin!💙🫶💙🫶💙
My mother took the book behold a pale horse she took it from me because my family said I was going crazy when I read it. That is a great book with a lot of information.😢😮
The real Rick Ross NOT THE FORMER CORRECTIONAL OFFICER LoL I never understood how people flipped for the cop rapping about nothing but being a drug boss.
And his girlfriend and lemon pepper wings😂
Can’t wait for some interruptions while the story is getting good 😂
Is this the show Snowfall based on him it seems very similar
Just ordered Ricks book. God bless, love from Charlotte.
Dude wouldn’t stop interrupting and calling him short. Feels like Rick Ross got annoyed at one point as well.
Jamie fox should play him in the movie that would be hard
Hell no. It has to be an actor who’s not that famous. A break out roll. Think about the whole narcos series you’ve never heard of any of those guys. Also snowfall. All semi low key actors
Absolutely awesome interview!! I Love his honesty and his story.
Johnny talks more than the one he’s interviewing
Annoying
Yesh frustrating - typical nerd
GTA owes this guy too. The main character was named Franklin but mimics this guys life. Guaranteed this guy got out with money. He acting like he broke but this smart mf set himself up
the real rick ross
Incredible interview, absolutely stunning revelations. I happened to live in Costa Rica during the early 1980’s. In particular a spot named Pavones where a guy named Danny Fowlie, bought 10 miles of coastline which included a World Class surfing destination, but it turned out he was dealing with Rafael Caro Quintero at the time. Also, that’s where I ran into the Hawaiian’s like Fast Eddie Rothman, members of the Contra leadership being paid by the CIA in San Jose, Costa Rica etc.
I would love to hear more about that particular story from Costa Rica I wonder how much the 10 miles of coastline cost the American taxpayer lol!
13K a click and can flip em for as much as 68K, was it? Was bout that, Sheesh,! 55K profit for just passing a click from A to B,..talk bout minimal risk, maximum reward, risk versus reward,.. shit Yeah,!! Who says crime don't pay??
Snowfall & FX need to pay this man!
AMERICAN DRUG WAR: THE LAST WHITE HOPE, documentary by Kevin Booth. And of course Gary Webb's (R.I.P) book DARK ALLIANCE
Rick was a master at manipulation
Horrible interview. How about letting Ricky finish a thought? He's fascinating. You're the opposite. & don't you think it's time you lose the "Vanilla Ice" signature hairdo? Do you actually comb it forward like that everyday when you look in the mirror & go, "yeah, that's it, as cool as Vanilla Ice"? I'm pretty sure even Vanilla Ice has stopped sporting that clown do.
If this guy grew up in different circumstances he would be running a Fortune 500 company Makes u wonder how many ppl could have done great things if they had a opportunity
And people will believe this guy was the king of crack lol. The kings of crack, powder cocaine, meth, heroin, marijuana, prescription drugs, alcohol and any other intoxicant in this society looks like Brad Pitt than this guy.
Rick Ross,very smart man.
Selling illegal drugs and destroying the lives of countless others is smart?
Too bad my friend George Jung passed away a couple years ago.most people know who he was from an actual true account of his life. Movie (Blow) He also would have exposed this charade. Some brother in arms of mine out there please chime in on this.!!! 😂
Man, you hit him off being short like 10 times LMAO
Ikr he obsessed with his height… thinking it was something that held him back 😂
Man I noticed that too
There is a difference between crack and powder. I saw it growing up. People act different. Crack is coke times 100.
It’s kind of crazy to think there was a point even where Rick Ross trusted the word of police.
He had a point one of the main reasons they won’t change fentanyl law cause it was effect them more then us now days 😂😂😂 the reason they never been hard on pills😂😂
Great interview Mitchell. I have watched a few interviews with Freeway Rick but this is the best one I have seen thus far. Thanks a bunch. Freeway Rick stay up! I still can’t get over what he said about the government spent all that money to set him up and prosecute but wouldn’t spend money so he could get set up after getting out of prison. SMH.
What up Homie Cuzz, it's "Big Head Joe"... Lol🌵🏄🦘🎨🤙
I grew up with Rick.
Less Adderall next episode John
