I don't have a 5 hook and heavy weight wool is it okay to add another 20 stitches on till it fits around my head ? I have 72 with a tweed wool and a 4.5 hook ?😊
This seems like more of a US half double crochet and not a slip stitch? I bought your pattern on your Etsy shop and, without the video, I had a hard time following it. You might want to rewrite your US instructions :)
Half double you wld yarn over pull thru all 3 on hook to finish the stitch. Here you are pulling up the stitch and pulling that stitch thru the 2 on the hook. Hope that makes sense. It's very similar but not the same.

Ah that’s so nice to hear. The button is so that you can easily remove the pom when you want to wash the hat ☺️
Can you do this pattern with a heavier yarn and 10 mm hook?? Do you just add more slip stitches in the beginning??
