    What is the benefit of using wise compare to Revolut?

      @steveandnadia  Год назад +1

      Hello 👋 There are a few differences and it does come down to personal preference. Some features that Revolut offer are better for some, while Wise for us is the best option. Here is a link to compare the two bit.ly/wisevrevolutcomp Hope this helps 👍

    Hi! Thank you for the information!
    Just to confirm, can I withdraw my MYR from my Wise account in IDR, and do I need an Indonesian bank account for it?
    Also are there many ATMs supporting Wise withdrawal?

    • @steveandnadia
      @steveandnadia  9 месяцев назад +3

      Hey @mhc9526 👋 Hope the info helped 😊 Yes, if you deposit MYR into your wise account you can withdraw IDR from Indonesian ATM's. It will do the conversation for you automatically. As well as paying for things i.e. groceries using your card WISE will convert from which ever currency you have available. Most ATM's support WISE cards as it's a Visa card. Let us know i you have any more questions. 👍

    How do you make sure the restaurants card readers don’t track ur details on your wise debit card?

    • @steveandnadia
      @steveandnadia  Год назад

      Hi Kelvin 👋
      The chip on Wise debit cards uses an encrypted one time unique code when using it & an extra layer of security is your PIN to allow the transaction. Wise also sends through a notification every time your debit card is used, so you know exactly what is being spent. You can easily freeze & unfreeze your card if you notice any unfamiliar transactions. Wise has a great fraud team that chases up any issues or problems that might occur as well. For specific tips regarding using your card; making sure you keep an eye on your card when making payments, the restaurant uses a reputable banks PoS (Point of Sale) or EDC (Electronic Data Capture) machine. Hope this helps ☺

    Great video! Do you know if it's possible to withdraw at ATMs without a physical card, for example, by using the Wise virtual card?

    • @steveandnadia
      @steveandnadia  Год назад +1

      Thanks AugustaSun! ☺️ That’s a great question. We know that Wise allows certain countries access to digital wallets & unfortunately our account isn’t one of them 🥲
      What I’ve read is that if your virtual card is connected to your virtual wallet, you may be able to use contactless enabled ATMs. We’d love to know ourselves 😄 If you find out please share 😂🙏🏻

      @@steveandnadia So been here a week and haven't seen this facility at any ATMs so far. I have seen QRIS payments available at a lot of shops and restaurants, where I can scan a QR code and pay using my Thai bank account with virtually no fee, which is great. If anyone has a bank account from one of the ASEAN countries, these banks all have an agreement which means you pay no conversion rates if using QR code to pay.

    IDR 100k notes are a PITA because so many small businesses have trouble making change for them!

      @steveandnadia  Год назад +1

      Hi @jonnieinbangkok We just learnt what PITA means 😂 You can have a little trouble with 100k notes, but businesses are usually pretty good at sorting out a way for you to pay.

      Hi Laugal. We tend to stick to Maybank & CIMB ATMs. They usually have a Maximum of 3 Million IDR per withdrawal. You can usually see a sticker at the top of the ATM to know which note denominations it dispenses also.
