This has happened to me so many times. I already talk to my cell, when it's off, saying what I want to listen, or watch, and the next day, or much sooner I got it.
Once it was really odd, coz I just thought about a band's song, that I haven't listened to a long time ago, and I was thinking, without saying anything out loud, that after the song I was listening ends, I would look for the band to play that song. But there was no need for me to do that, because this exact song of this exact band started playing right after the previous song ended. The algorithm shouldn't played it, coz I haven't listened to that band for about an year, and I didn't say anything out loud, but I only thought about it, so why should the algorithm show it?! 🕸️

I used to own an iphone 5. I'd be sound asleep & around 3 am-ish, Siri would suddenly turn on & say some very random & often very creepy things. It would wake me up & sometimes when I'd ask Siri to please repeat what she just said, she'd reply with "I'm sorry but I don't understand" or "I'm unable to do that at this time"...this would happen on random nights, always when I was home alone & always around 3 am to 3:30 am. Was totally creepy. Sometimes my android phone's google assistant will turn on around 3 am & say creepy things too. Is it possible that these devices are detecting & interacting with ghosts or that somehow ghosts are trying to use the devices to communicate with us?

I've been telling people since the early 80s about the rise of artificial stupidity. As an electronic engineer, I have seen so many things left to malfunction by bad design that I only expect further entropy from smart technology.
And remember, it's always right and proper to tease a computer, to feed it bad data. We will have to become much better at confusing the AI if we don't want it to become our ruler. Computers make bad decisions frequently because of inadequate data, bad data, or no moral concept of the many aspects humans consider in making decisions. Essentially, your self driving car would send you off a cliff to avoid a collision with no regret or reservation as it has no respect for biological life forms.
Even as I have made a living dealing with PLCs and integrated controls I still say "Never trust a computer any farther than you can throw it".

I have the same question. Is the smartphone isn't enough? You can check it the same way in Google if you want to. Yes, it's truth that Google and Facebook is spying on us through smartphones, but you switch off wifi, you are safe. But Alexa can spy on you 24/7.And honestly, this thing just creeps me out...

Me eithet I've always thought these devices would just record you without your knowledge & send it all to a warehouse where the makers study your daily interactions & use their findings for evil.

Alexa needs help. She suffers from multiple personality disorder due to the number of personalities and characters she has had to facilitate n keep up with.
Tabby sends his Alexa for therapy every alternate weekend and gives her prescribed medication bcs of the kind and generous nature he has towards others and because tabby is a very active Sharing is Caring practitioner.
So far things have bcm better for tabby's Alexa and Alexa has positively begun her journey back to sanity. tabby's councilor however made a strong emphasis point and advised against tabby giving away the medication part on his side, bcs according to him again that medication was actually prescribed to tabby for him to help him deal the depression he has been facing.
Tabby counselor also warned tabby that he would introduce additional medication if tabby didn't stop giving away his medication, bcs tabby didn't even own an Alexa in the first place and pretending to be friends with her was something that he would not take lightly if tabby ever mentioned anything about Alexa again in the future.
Tabby doesn't like this counselor anymore. Always trying to put barriers and restraints over n onto tabby to control tabby's mind and limit tabby's imagination. Bcs tabby is not so much the regular "depressed-bcs-nobody-understands-him" type of guy whom he might be familiar with and as his per probably some of his other patients are. Tabby is actually just lonely, on occount of being a real son of a bitch, and meaning that in the most literal sense possible.
Don't unplug Alexa. Maybe give her another chance. Bcs if we are no longer willing to give chances to the ones which/whom offend, hurt or even put some level or type of fear in us bcs we might hv misunderstood them and perhaps might hv even gotten off on the wrong foot, then maybe we are the ones whom aren't human anymore, when we have lost the very essence in humanity & what it could still mean if we are willing to give our own selves a chance - compassion
