Thanks! I have the stock speaker. Fender indicates it is a Specially designed single 12-inch Eminence Alnico, I will say it is a very good sounding speaker, I have another no name Tweed Deluxe with a Celestion Blue which sounds good, but this amp to my ear sounds better.
@@samnewton5959 I know that some people rave about the celestion blue in a 5e3,, but to my ears,, that combo has too much mids (roughly at 500Hz),, it makes it sound a little boxy.. An american type speaker such as Jensen P12R/P12Q has a smaller magnet and a very different cone which has its own midrange dip centered at 425Hz.. which fits the flat frequency response of the 5e3 when played semi-clean.. when you start overdringing the amp the lack of negative feedback and harmonic overtones introduced require a speaker that doe not get to harsh when pushed.. This combination is difficult to find in one speaker..
That Amp sounds very good.. Did the earlier Fender version (57 Custom Tweed Deluxe) sound different with the previous transformer that was used then ? Anyone know ?
Thanks Matheus! The pickups are the stock Burstbuckers, They are a llittle hot , but sound good turned down, especially on the neck pickup. Also Burstbuckers seemed to have changed over the years. This guitar is a 2004 model.
Yes, you could easily gig in a smaller club. Just keep your guitar volume down a bit which would give you more headroom and allow you to turn up the amp.
There is no such thing as a honemoon phase with a tweed deluxe. sounds killer!
some of my favorite playing on youtube.
Thanks Jon!

That's the sound!!
Great playing. Love your phrasing.
Thanks, StratMan! I have a Silver Sky coming in a couple of days. Looking forward to comparing it to my two strats (Nash & American Vintage 59)

From memory, I played the earlier version in a music store and I thought the newer version sounded better.
@@samnewton5959 👍 thank you

@@samnewton5959 Thanks a lot!
@@samnewton5959 Alnico II or V?
@@matheushaag6487 I believe these are Alnico II. The Burstbucker Pro's used Alnico V.
Is it suitable for gigs?
