Well, that was completely unexpected! I had no idea where you were going with this piece until you finished. What a beautiful surprise! The spalted birch with the red resin was a really good match too. Beauty and function... A+ ❤
The red shimmer of your resin was mesmerizing. Glad to see you saving off cuts for future projects. A magnificent transformation of that birch branch. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather. Peace brother
Certainly beautiful. The bottom looked like a flower. I always like the bright colors as well as you using all parts of the wood you have. Thank you again.
Suzi🌸❤️❤️ Thank you very much for your comment I am very happy that you like this piece I make the aged woods myself by cutting them at the right time and leaving them to dry in a typically ideal place for this effect to occur😉
Booty map piece😅. Well done, sir. Your skills and ideas are impeccable. Luv the way yu had to figure opening up both ends so az to chunk out that fat bottom part. Smart. Sealing from water was the kicker. Yu are too good Thx for letting me peek over your shoulder. Your editing iz also superb Do enjoy your day 🎉❤👋😍🇺🇲💫💃
Nina❤️🌸🌸 thank you very much for your comment I am very happy that you like my work and I am also very happy that you noticed all the necessary work it takes to make a video montage like this😊
Brilliant result, the patterns in the wood, which are always unique, and the swirling reds of the epoxy worked so well together. A question: is the epoxy tougher to ‘cut’ than wood, or does it depend on the hardness of the wood used? Keep up the great work/artistry! We need to see it ;-)
Michael thank you very much for your comment I am happy that you enjoy this piece😉👍👍 epoxy is a rot-proof material, you can add water and soil and this in no way alters the quality of this vase

Absolutely lovely
Thank you Irene ❤️
Such unusual wood markings! Turned out to be a beautiful planter. That red resin is so close to the poinsettia’s color. Cool!
Jean thank you very much for your comment ❤️🌸 you noticed that I tried to match the resin with the color of the poinsettia 😉 well done👍
Over time does the resin break away from the wood?
Nelson
yes if the resin is of good quality and the implementation is well done, it no longer moves at all
Great, thanks
This is just great…….my favorite woods are distressed or unusual in some way. Did you spalt this yourself or was it found in that condition?
Suzi🌸❤️❤️

yes indeed epoxy resin is harder than wood even if certain species are very hard
😁👍
😊
stupendo
Eugenio😉👍👍thank you very much I’m very happy that you appreciate my work
A very unique piece. Do you actually put water in it to keep the flower’s alive or would it eventually ruin the epoxy coat?
Michael thank you very much for your comment I am happy that you enjoy this piece😉👍👍
epoxy is a rot-proof material, you can add water and soil and this in no way alters the quality of this vase
Gorgeous! May I ask, why did you make it in two parts? So the bottom can be used separately?
So that water can flow freely😉
