Wow! The amount of care and time spent on a cheap Revel classic is impressive. Goes to show you don’t need to buy a 100 dollar kit to get a superb looking model. 👍🏻

Thank you very much! You are right, even with a poor model, with determination and work, you can get a great end result! Although this plane deserves a much better quality model in 1:48 scale!

You have no idea what your model building and attention to deal meant to me. God bless you for your work. My Uncle flew the beautiful and I mean very beautiful warbird you built. It would be my honor if you could watch my video to see the men you honor with your work. On RUclips search “3 Days in May 1943”. Thank you I enjoyed every second of your video.

Thank you very much. It is an honor to hear such words from someone who knew the soldiers flying these planes! I will definitely watch the story you tell in your film. Best Regards from Poland :)

How did you do it with the gear retracted? Is there an aftermarket set available, or did you just modify the existing kit parts? Personally, I prefer to build wheels up and hang the finished model from the ceiling, but the B-17 with its exposed landing gear is a challenge for this.

The kit only allows the gear to be mounted in the open position. I did it on my own. There are probably no aftermarket parts for such a modification. Thanks for watching, Regards

Just researching phase right now haven’t built a ideal in many many years now. I am having trouble figuring out why so many layers of paint and then you paint a thin black or gray line everywhere there is sheet metal squares placement, then paint over it? Then how you thin the surface paint down to see the lines you sprayed???
I understand it adds old age kind of look but why so many layers is it for when you weather the plane so the layers will show thru line in real planes. I worked on the F-14 tomcat in the navy and there was he aluminum metal then the zinc primer abs then the plane color around pieces worn or worked on a lot is that the reason so many layers? Also how did you take off layers of paint as to see the blackly es you sprayed on the body as so the lines showed thru? Sure you didn’t wipe it down with thinner that would hv smeared the paint lv it streaky? Thanks I do t know how to private message folks on utube

So many layers are applied to get depth, such a "3d" look. Remember that this is a smaller copy of a real plane, to get an interesting effect on a smaller scale, you should use many different tones to give the model a more realistic look. A very diluted paint with the base color is applied to the preshading, we apply it in many thin layers, thanks to which we have control over the final effect. Regards

Hi Just got past thr priming stage of this model The Memphis Belle version.. I put photo etch parts in the cockpit A bit of a waste of time as you cannot see much of them.,but I know there there.
I use Tamiya paints for my work, they suite my cheap air brush Regarding the camo paint what color did you use? I am thinking of blending Tamiya Khaki (Matt) with a touch of flat yellow What please did you use.

Sorry for the late reply (a bit of me was not here) ... I used Oliv Drab and toned it with yellow color from Tamiya. Regards :)

Maybe putting this build into 2 videos would have let the viewer have time to focus on the images you wanted to show. If this footage was meant to be instructional I think you missed the mark ! Thanks for trying. Nice old vintage kit to build.

Qué lástima, con esa velocidad en pasar las fotos es imposible valorar los detalles
