J, sorry, but you are wrong. There can be no misinterpreting on when James, Sirius, and Peter become Animagi. The book said it took them almost three years to do it. _They started on their second year_ (They didn't even know Lupin was a werewolf until they came back from their first summer break), which means by the time they managed it, they all were on fifth year. That is exactly what was said in the book. I'll leave actual quote bellow.
‘Yes, indeed,’ said Lupin. ‘It took them the best part of three years to work out how to do it. Your father and Sirius here were the cleverest students in the school, and lucky they were, because the Animagus transformation can go horribly wrong - one reason the Ministry keeps a close watch on those attempting to do it. Peter needed all the help he could get from James and Sirius. Finally, in our fifth year, they managed it. They could each turn into a different animal at will.’
That's what I said last time too. Hopefully they read.
It was on page 354. Just looked too.😂
@@jennacain917 dang, if it had just been put off for 40 more pages that could have been what Snape was teaching about werewolves during Harry's third year.
Lupin says before explaining how they did it that he did his best to hide the fact he was a werewolf from them because he was sacred they might not want to be his friends anymore. Plus it would have taken research to find out what to do to help and how to be an animagus... makes sense they didn't start during their first year.
One of the answers at question 20 was 'Locomotor Snivellus' I just had to mark that. Good day😂

The reason you're confused about whom speaks last is because Lily is the last person to speak in the MOVIE.
Harry: "Stay close to me"
Lily: "Always" (Yes, the same line as Snape)
That's how I got it wrong then
Was thinking this
in this case it's "who" not whom. she speaks last, not her speaks last.
If you're talking about the very last word spoken in Deathly Hallows 2, the last word is Ready. Spoken by Albus Severus Potter to his father Harry, just before he gets on the Hogwarts Express
@@thejas4815 believe it or not, people can be confused about where they’re remembering something from.

to the animagi question: they started in their second year (when they found out about lupin) and trained in secret. it took them three years to learn it, so they became animagi in the fifth year.
at least thats what i understood. i mean they did not star on their first day of school. didnt lupin say that he lied to them about where he is going once every month (like that his mother is ill and that he has to visit her). and he aslo said that he was afraid the others would end their friendship if they found out.
I imagine that James and Sirius figured it out in their 4th year, and it took Peter an extra year with their help, that's my headcanon.
@@Sai4651 but it doesn't say anywhere it took Peter longer to do it. Just that he required their help
@@Sai4651 Why would it though? If you’ve looked at how the process is actually laid out, we can assume that these unregistered and ambitious teens didn’t have any legit guidance for the process, so they probably had to figure things out on their own. That was the real challenge.
That’s likely where Peter got help from the others, as they all worked to figure out the process together. And then they all did the exceptionally difficult task together, as it involves doing a specific thing even as you sleep. I can imagine that sharing the same dorm also helped them.
There’s just no reason to think that they didn’t accomplish it around the same time, maybe with a few days or weeks in between. Maybe a month. But that’s pretty much it. Contrary to common belief, Peter wasn’t a weak or incompetent wizard at all; he just wasn’t confident or naturally skilled enough to stand out against James Potter or Sirius Black, two prodigious Pureblood Heirs who had likely been trained by their parents since they could walk. It’s not a very fair contest.

I root for Ben even though I’m the older sibling
I love watching Ben's face after he gets a question wrong and is listening to some obscure explanation about why the real answer is correct. I can't think of a lot of other situations when I get to see someone think so intently, it's just neat to watch. Though I always root for Ben and enjoy when he gets questions right too.
Actually, 5th year is correct. If you go back and read the quote you used very carefully it actually says 5th year. "It took them the best part of 3 years to learn how to do it. Your father and Sirius here were the cleverest students in the school, and lucky they were, because the animagus transformation can go horribly wrong - one reason the ministry keeps a close watch on those attempting to do it. Peter needed all the help he can get from James and Sirius. Finally, in our 5th year, they managed it." Read the first and last lines carefully. It says that it took them 3 years to learn it, meaning that they were learning how to master the spell. Now the last line is the most important because it says that they mastered it in 5th year. They being all 3 of them. The first part about it being a tricky spell is mentioned to show how clever James and Sirius were, and the bit about peter is mentioned to show just how much he relied on James and Sirius. He was very dependent on the other marauders, it was his nature. The quote says that they managed to master it in 5th year, taking them three years to learn it. Meaning that they didn't find out about Remus being a werewolf until 2nd year, not first year. Besides, it's not really something you share with your friends that you just met. Furthermore i can't see Remus being that careless with his secret, he would be extra careful being that it's his very first year and he wouldn't want to be kicked out after just getting in. After he is comfortable with his friends for a year and more comfortable in the school he may drop his guard. Enough that James and Sirius catch on to him being a werewolf. Sure they are bloody brilliant, but i doubt they would be smart enough to figure it out after less than a year of knowing Remus. At the most they would have their suspicions. In conclusion, it was actually 5th year when they became animagi, not 3rd.
(Please, please, please like this so that hopefully they will see it. Their inaccuracy is driving me a little nutty.)
Also the 5th year answer is correct because it asks what year did the Marauders learn to transform, not what year did James and Sirius learn 😂

On seeing Henry Potter: the reason that the Potter name isn't part of the Sacred 28 is because of Henry Potter. He was pro-wizard involvement in the war and called the minister of magic a coward for making it illegal for wizards to help. So i think it is TOTALLY likely to see him. Cuz that would be a fantastic scene to see
Raymond Cox Potter's also a very muggle-sounding name, so people were suspicious of them not having married muggles.
Raymond Cox and they are descended from Peverell
It takes three years to become an animagus and the marauders found out about remus in their second year which would make them fifth year when they all fully transform.
Finally someone else who knows the truth
Lol great friends they are. Didn't notice for an entire year that their best friend was leaving on the full moon each month.
@@aetherealbeing690 who knows the lunar calender of the top of their head? I think it eould definitely take a while to realise.. especially as warewolves are so shunned, you wouodnt expect it..
It's actually 1 month (full moon to full moon) + time until the next lightning storm if you do it successfully on your first try.
But it does require holding a Mandrake leaf in their mouth for an entire month and I guess most of their time went to planning how to do this without getting caught.
Mr. Ollivander must have described Peter's wand in Shell Cottage after they escaped Malfoy Manor.
Edit: Oh, they mentioned it!
Had to look up brittle (English not my first language) and the definitions were ’something hard but prone to cracking or breaking or refers to an unpleasant and sharp laugh or to a person or a behaviour that appears hostile but is often driven by nerves’.
His wand reflects his personality so well.
Anyone know if they ever explored how Fred and George knew how to access the Marauders Map? I mean, the phrases “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good” and “mischief managed” are pretty specific, so I always wondered how the twins figured it out. I know that when Snape asks the parchment to reveal its secrets it makes fun of him, so maybe when the twins find the parchment in Filch’s office they assume it must be something special and they do what Snape did, asking it to reveal its secrets, but the parchment recognizes that they are worthy of the map and therefore reveal how to see it.
I'm more interested in finding out how the marauders even made the map. Seems like VERY advanced magic.
I always thought the map respected them enough. I could see them playing and being snarkybwith the map to the point they were friendly with it and the map's sentience gave up the secret.
i always interpreted it as the marauders made the map to recognize someone of their own kind to carry on the traditions
They Have A Whole Video On It Heres The link: ruclips.net/video/Eqiw_ZEIhIg/видео.html
In case you still wondered, the author has told us. The map was made to be passed on. It actually gave the twins hints as they were guessing the password.
J: “Well you know it’s a very Slytherin thing to do” holds up Sirius Blacks wand instead of a Slytherins wand
The book says that it takes three years for them to become animagi but I dont think it ever says that they start trying in the first year
Joacim Gustafson yeah I’m pretty sure they didn’t because it would take them time to figure out about Remus being a werewolf and then coming up with a plan on how to help him
Yeah. They don't find out Lupin is a werewolf until second year.
I honestly don’t see how they don’t grasp this.
@@RaggedyMan78 it's a grammar and memory thing, they just grasp on to the three year part and assume it means that James and Sirius get it in their 3rd years, when the books clearly states it takes them the better half of three years to learn how to do it, and finish in the fifth
It took 3 years for Sirius and James to learn how to do it and it takes 2 more years for Peter.
So because of the wording of the question it asks when all 3 could do it. Not when each one could do it.
On question twenty, one of the answers was "locomotor snivellous"
It does seem like the marauders to create a Snape specific spell.
Neville wasn't a hatstall, he was a near hatstall just like Hermione.
As for James, Sirius and Peter becoming animagi people already explained it last time you had it confused.

"Dumbledore? How would Dumbledore know?"
Because it's Dumbledore. That is the all encompassing answer to all his knowledge.
Also, Dumbledore was the one that had the whomping willow planted so remus could sneak off on full moon nights right?
also dumbledore himself said lupin told him everything
Can a muggle become a werewolf theory?
OoooOooooOooo now I want to know
they definitely didn't get question 15 correct. or at least J didn't. because one of the answers is "A heart shape with the letters L.E. inside" and its wrong. the correct answer is
"A Snitch with the letters L.E."

Based on the fact that James doodled Lily's initials ON A FINAL EXAM I have to believe that there was a time where Sirius and James gossiped about their crushes and James wrote sh*t like "Mr. James Evans" and L+J in little hearts on his notes for classes. It is said that Remus was last seen dueling Dolohov, next we see of Lupin is that he's dead. So it's not outright, but we can assume. Last we know they were dueling each other. Remus is then dead and we see Dolohov well and fine when Harry "dies".
Also, Dolohov is so underappreciated and a great characters in his own rights, just that there were never a place for Rowling to truly give us how great he is.

Moody did not die at the Battle of Hogwarts. He fell dueling Voldemort on July 27th 1997 during the mission to take Harry out of Privet Drive. Voldemort thought that the best Auror would be escorting the real Harry Potter.
"The grizzled Auror Moody brought down many Dark wizards in his career and joined the Order of the Phoenix hoping to bring down Voldemort once and for all. It was in the line of duty, leading Harry and the rest of the disguised Order, that Moody finally fell. The remaining members of the Order then held a solemn toast to Mad-Eye at the Burrow. Neville who was in Gryffindor married Hannah Abott who was in Hufflepuff
I think the quiz is right about James and Sirius becoming animagi in 5th year. I remember something along the lines of Lupin telling them about being a werewolf in 3rd and then they took 2 years to figure it out.
I got a question and J didn't! This is a miracle 😂
Pettigrew bit himself as a rat in book 3 to fake his own death.
Only half way through and when J loses a question he hates it and tries to justify it haha love it!!
I think that wormtail biting himself is when he fakes his death as Scabbers and bites himself to leave blood so the Trio thinks that Crookshanks ate him
Could you turn yourself into an animagus fluffy? Or a basilisk or dragon or troll????? Very curious. Video idea?
Ayaan Siddiqui Im pretty sure you can’t turn into a magical creature
Ayaan Siddiqui I think it's only non-magical animals, if I remember correctly. Or, perhaps, it never stated it. I dunno.
@@esterplank2611 Im pretty sure you can turn into a Phoenix but that might just be the Patronus
If dumbledore was an animagus, then he would be a phoenix
For question 14 about Peter faking his death, in Prisoner Of Azkaban he bites himself so Ron’s sheets are bloody so that they think Crookshanks (or however you spell it!) ate him.
Peter bit himself and left blood on the sheets in the dormitory so Ron thought Crookshanks had eaten him
I know I'm late to the party on this (I watched this video a long time ago and only now had my copy of PoA on hand) but I'm curious about what evidence you have that James and Sirius mastered being Animagi years earlier than Peter? Because the exact quote regarding it from the book is as follows:
"It took them the best part of three years to work out how to do it. Your father and Sirius here were the cleverest students in the school, and lucky they wree, because the Animagus transformation can go horribly wrong - one reason the Ministry keeps a close watch on those attempting to do it. With the Amamigi question, it says that in the fifth year THEY all did it. Not just Peter but James and Sirius.
Peter bit himself and left a pool of blood on Ron’s sheets to make them think he was dead in poak
Pff-- I love when they get frustrated.

*FRINKIN' FRACK*
I'm sorry, just so funny...
Ikea use to sell a couple of sizes of storage baskets, one was called frick and the other was frack. I almost bought them just for that reason :)
Gryffindor-Hufflepuff couple? Don't forget Neville and Hannah. :)
Tonks and Lupin aren’t the only Gryffinpuff duo, Neville and Hanna Abbot end up together
Usually Hufflepuff are pair with Slytherin, because they are cute and love everyone and slytherin we need a loveable little bit of sunshine.
I got all the answer but the one of prongs jajajaja
I definitely call them chicken legs more than drumsticks. I am American.
LBthequeen same. Must be a regional thing
Same, I'm specifically from Florida and i almost never hear them called drumsticks
Same here and I'm from nc
They need to make a spin off film about them
Totally, but I also would hate it if they did it wrong.
There is already so much fanon in the Marauders Era part of the fandom that it would mess so much up because of everything fans have come up with on our own. But it would be great to see one if you aren't marauders era trash or if they for some reason took into account what we've come up with
So with the Dolahov thing, during the battle of Hogwarts, it says that he is fighting Tonks I believe. Then it says a little while later that you see Lupin battling him. Then he is fighting someone else. So it I figured that, since he was still fighting people, who ever he was fighting before had died or been gravely injured.
23:02 - He's old enough now, what if Radcliffe played his great grandfather? Or Oldman could.

It would be really fun to see you guys take the Myers Briggs personality quizzes. It shows you what jobs you'd be good at and famous people that have the same personality type 😊
