This pos looks like he's probably done other cowardly deeds
The way Michael Dunn uses the word "thug" just reeks of "I reeeaally want to say the n word, but then people would look at me like _I'm_ the asshole"
Yes very much so
That’s exactly what he means
Probably a member of the kkk
Exactly.
What is the n word?
Detective: "Mr. Dunn, you have the right to remain silent."
Dunn: "Ok, so anyways, I started blasting and..."
Hearing that Jordan's parents considered him their "miracle baby" since they believed they would never be able to have children due to a procedure his mother had that removed part of her uterus, BROKE my heart. No parent should ever have to bury their child especially under these senseless and unconscionable circumstances. However that provided extra context, literally brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you for showing who Michael Dunn really is: a monster
Thank you for telling Jordan's story and empathetically covering this case.
Yeah that part made me Sad. This was a kid who mouth offed and got the Death Penalty because this guy has some ego. He played cop, Jury, Judge then executioner. Its another miracle that Jordon was the only one shot. 👀
wow, you need professional help
Yes, his mom had cancer and thankfully recovered from it but they were told conceiving would be impossible. A real miracle baby and even though they later divorced they remained friends and both shared in the upbringing of their son. Such a devastating loss.
It’s such an incredible tragedy. I am so happy that at least, this asshole was convicted and will never get out. Absolutely heartbreaking
🤷🏻
The fact a black detective is interrogating him is delicious.
Ha how ironic... loved it
@T G lol i just got to the letter in prison and was gonna tell you what time they were at before i saw your edited portion of the comment.

It's always projection with people like that.

It's the blithe assumption his privilege would carry the day for me.
so true
@@Mdeaccosta right?? Him starting his story with "I'm embarrassed to say this, but..." To me means he thinks it's a forgivable "accident."
The fiancé being called back in after his “they had a weapon and I told her that repeatedly over the next 30 hrs” testimony and her telling the truth about what really happened- that he never mentioned any kind of weapon or stick, sealed the deal. Kudos to her for telling the truth. She finally saw him for what he was and from what I understand, stopped communicating with him after the trial.
I pull up blasting my music at the very same gas station he was killed. Every year of the anniversary night he was killed. At least a hundred cars fill up the lot just for Jordan. R. I. P. Jordan Davis. Rest easy lil bruh

His own wife wouldn't even back him up. Good for her.
Got to respect her honesty.
she was clearly an enabler or battered wife
she still went along with his plans to go home and not call the police. i think she was afraid of him, but thankfully she answered the questions truthfully.
Fiancee. She really dodged a bullet, no pun intended.
I respect her honesty, however she was not overly concerned that her boyfriend just shot at a car full of kids.
Are you kidding me? They should have never left. I mean, find out what happened.
Oh, well. She got her wine and pizza. (Sorry, I am being snarky...)
I guess I disagree with her actions that day. Yes, she was honest. They should have stayed there!!
"I was the VICTOR but i'm also the VICTIM" Michael Dunn. His mentality in a nutshell, in his own words.
All that over a bit of music, that he'd have been away from after a few minutes. Threw his life away and that of a teenage kid for a bit of music and a sense of righteousness. It's utter madness. It's good his wife wouldn't lie for him though. Good on her.

The Ego is a dangerous thing in the wrong hands
The neighbor is a wise man ...and seems like a good human being
I want to applaud the JSO detectives and John Phillips, the prosecuter. They didn't just get justice in this case, they refused to let a character assassination happen, which is commonplace for Black American victims. The police and prosecution were quick to point out that Jordan was a good kid and so were his friends Bravo 👏
Yet i still see tons of comments claiming the kids were "thugs."
@@acedibiase7038 hopefully these stereotypical labels will die with the people that subscribe to such ignorance.
That isnt common place wtf
Isn’t the prosecutor named John Guy?
I love his neighbor. "If you're looking for a confrontation, when you have a gun you're predisposed to kill someone."
That's a responsible gun owner.
Came here to say the same thing! He comes across as such a reasonable, intelligent individual.
Thats why we don't do guns in Europe....
The whole point of having a gun is so that you don't get in stupid confrontations like this.
When you have a gun you ONLY get in gun fights, so don't get in fights.
Well said! I am all about citizens being armed to defend themselves, and as a hobby, this is a very important right!! Then we have idiots like this. My kid is 11 knows how to handle a gun and I'd trust his judgement over this knuckleheads any day of the week!

I so appreciate your anger at this guy. Watching this case is infuriating. That guy is dispicable. He couldnt be more of a d*** if he tried. And then he plays the victim? If he wants to see a thug all he has to do is look in the mirror. As usual another great vid. Thanks again so much for your excellent work
It's because dunn is a white male. So the narrator feels empowered to hurl his insults and anger at him. Notice you won't find the same commentary on any video with a person of color as the perp, even ones with multiple victims. It's typical "ok to shit on white men" attitude.
You and your, "get the f*** outta here" cracks me up.

Then coming back to school everyone was just crying because we got the news on what happened. This is one video I can’t finish. But I appreciate you so much covering this case ❤️
I'm sorry for the senseless and violent loss of your friend. Thank you for sharing your memory of him so that we can remember him for more than just his death.
This was absolutely senseless. Gotta love our city
I'm so sorry for your loss 😔
I'm sorry this horrible human being took away your sweet friend.
Oh my goodness. I'm sorry for your loss.
This hurt my heart. There are so many people out there like that Michael Dunn. They dehumanize and stereotype people. Makes you afraid to send your kids out into the world. A night out with their friends shouldn't have ended that way.
They are called Republicans.
Your kids will be fine so long as you're parent them properly, which I have no doubt you're doing. The powers-that-shouldn't-be wants us to be afraid of each-other and stay divided.
I love how you always make an effort to give good attention to the victims of these monsters, something we unfortunately can't find with regular media coverage. The victims should always be talked about so people don't keep thinking committing murders is a way to make a name for themselves.

I’m one of those people who hates when people blast music so loud that everyone can hear it. I’m black and In my 20s but I could never fathom killing someone for it. I just get pissed in silence.
it doesn’t sound like he tried to resolve the problem besides asking them to turn the music down once. he could’ve asked more than once or even called the cops to file a noise complaint
It doesn't even have to be in silence, but in saying that you also shouldn't go too far with it either.
I complain to the owner/realtor/whatever, and if nothing changes, I move. (I'm black living in Japan, and Japanese people can be loud neighbors too.) And now I live in a house alone with old people around me. No more noise.

Agreed. I cannot understand why so many Americans think like this worthless conkwocket does.

I have guns yes and I will defend myself if necessary BUT it’s literally the last thing I want, I hope I never have to use my gun. That was beautifully presented with intense passion in the narrator’s voice. Thank you for covering this case. I love how he talks as if music with explicit content hasn’t been around for decades
"Uh obviously because that's what happened" I'm so using that
Listen, there has been plenty of times in which my husband had to go outside and ask young kids to turn down the volume of their radio, because I had a severe migraine, and they did. Once they did, my husband shook hands, thanked them, and came back inside our home.
In fact, this situation happened a year ago; I had been suffering with a migraine, from hell, for 2 days, and every single noise, light source, and smells made the migraine worse, so my husband had to go to the store to get me some earplugs and a sleep mask. While he was at the store, a group of teens had pulled up in front of our house, and they had the music blaring, and their subwoofer was on full blast. I could literally feel the bass in my chest. I went outside, walked up to their car, and one of them noticed that I had walked up to the car. The passenger rolled down their window and asked what was up, and through tears, I begged them to please turn down the volume, because I had a migraine from hell. The driver looked at me and saw that I was in some extreme pain, so he said that he understood what I was going through, because his own mother suffered from migraines. He turned down the volume, apologized for the loud music, but I told him that there was no need to apologize, and I thanked them for being so kind, then I had gone back into our home.
Now, we've seen the same group of young men off and on throughout the year, but they make sure to turn down the volume. Every single time that my husband and myself see this group of young men, we stop and talk with them a bit.
What I'm trying to say is that IF you ask nicely for someone to turn down the music, let them know why you're asking them to turn down the music. Most likely than not, they're going to understand. Michael Dunn exerted toughness, with a big bad attitude, and all that's going to do is piss someone off. Those young men were NOT bothering anyone, AND they were on private property, the gas station/convenience store, so they could play their music on full blast.
Ok that sounds awesome however you are mistaken. I'm glad you have had those positive experiences but when dealing with teens/young people, especially if they have been drinking or indulging in other substances then they often do not take kindly to being asked to turn down their noise no matter how polite and friendly the person asking is!! I despise confrontations and will do pretty much anything to avoid them. I have suffered insomnia on and off throughout my life as well as migraines and played "single mom" to 4 kids more often than not due to my husband being constantly deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan as special ops with the Air Force. Throughout the years we have at times lived in close quarters to other homes due to military housing and you learn to deal with the noise but on occasion it would become unbearable especially when already dealing with stressful (or painful) issues. Over 20 years time the few times that we have finally broke down and asked for the music to be turned down so our kids could sleep or when I just could not take another minute if it and knowing that you catch far more flies with honey would always approach it in a kind manner and have never had the opposing party not get pissed nor willingly turn it down or any reasonable compromise...and they were never nice. The one time I remember some teens next door agreeing to turn it down (but with nasty attitude) they did actually turn it down....only to turn it up even louder as soon as we made it back into our own house.
Now I intentionally live somewhere where it's no worry!🙂
Yeah, my Mom gets migranes and has had to ask people to turn music down in the past, but she was polite about it. So people were happy to oblige. Those rowdy teenagers or whatever are still people, so treat them like people. And call the cops before attacking people. If it really is that bad, you need them
Toni is a mans name
@@rivetRnC Maybe in Europe, but it's not a male's name. Let me break it down for you: Toni = girl ( note both have the letter "i" in them ), and Tony = boy ( note both have the letter "y" in them ).
Toni is shortened from my birth name that I hate.
Not every situation is the same, I'm sure those kids were giving attitude because he was. But that doesn't mean they deserve to die, he could have suffered the loud noise for a couple minutes until his wife come outside. But he wanted to be a gunslinger on some teenagers that that couldn't defend themselves.
Shout out to Dunn’s wife, who unlike many in these stories *cough Brian Laundrie’s parents
Cough*, did the right thing, despite the consequences it brought on her loved one.
I thought the same thing.
And I'll wager she had a big party the night he was sentenced to life. He was probably a monster to live with.
Actually if you dig deeper in the story you'll find out that she tried to cover for him ,I know the full case and extended family
@@jahempress26 she’s at least smart enough not to perjure herself or talk shit on the jail phone like him
Yeah but there is a HUGE difference in parents wanting to believe that their only son couldn't possibly have done such a horrific act and his girlfriend (not wife-his fiance) who had not been with him for that long and who actually saw him commit murder and who was really hoping that she wasn't also going to be charged for her part in the whole fiasco! She was simply covering her own ass. Even after being aware that be had murdered a child she did not at any point call 911 and report him. She told him she just wanted to go home even though she was aware he killed the kid.
Edit- when I said " and his girlfriend", on case it wasn't clear, at that point I was speaking about Dunn's girlfriend Rhonda.
I just wanted to say I love how you call these monsters out on their bs... very refreshing
I love that you tell the story but also include your feelings into the story. Calling out the BS while telling the story is refreshing to hear. Also, thank you for including the resources at the end of each episode. I never knew the escape key trick.
Something tells me Dunn’s wife or fiancé is going to have a much better life with him locked up. Just a shame a young man had his life cut short. Hopefully the stress of forever looking over your shoulder queuing for your meals will take its toll.
She’s lucky she got out of that. but she seems like a weak person who let him call the shots
@@bellakatherman1477 sounds like many abusive relationships
She said she felt guilty because she wanted to buy snacks - I hope she knows by now it wasn't her fault but feeling guilty is something that is hard to process & overcome.
I suspect she had the lucky escape, I get the impression she was looking for a way out.
I am less sympathetic to her. She made no attempt to do the right thing and call the cops, or ask anyone else to call. Plenty of women are fine with their partner's behavior, doesn't mean they are abused. The prior wives definitely were though.
My mom had a neighbor in a 55+ community who at first was seemingly cool with her, but one summer she had me watch the house for her when she was out of town. I guess I put the trash bins in the wrong place and he like filed a complaint w the board or whatever, no big deal. My mom gets back into town and she says how her neighbor was being openly hostile to her, spitting in her direction, flipping her off etc. And when i visited, id notice that too, and that he'd always be lurking around, the border of our properties, just being weird.
So the next summer, my mom goes out of town, I watch the house for her. By now, this guy is *always* outside whenever I leave the house, cusses me out (i literally never said a word to the guy ever, never had any friends over either id socialize at *my* house about 45 minutes away) and he's cussing me out, egging me on to fight him. I brush him off as im 6'9 and was in my mid twenties at the time and he was about 5'5-5'7 and clearly over 55. Next thing you know this guy was peering into my car parked on the street, blatantly tresspassing in our yard, always slinking away when we'd yell at him in the act.
Thank god my mom moved shortly after that, and fuck that guy. Some people just get themselves so worked up over nothing like the narrators neighbor and this dunn pos and the hillbillys that shot a dude in the head for putting a mattress in his own driveway i can't understand that vile level of pettiness
Dang u 6'9"
Oh, your mom’s neighbor definitely had little guy syndrome. He was mad at you just for being so tall, when he could have used a few more inches. You’re so selfish, growing so much using all those inches you don’t really need.🤣
He was probably mad at your mom, too, for birthing a son with the unmitigated gall to grow to such an excessive height, which is why he didn’t calm down when you left but kept harassing her as well.
It was your mom that was the focus. He was mad because she has a big son coming around attending to her business, like a good son does. Y'all did good getting out of there.
@@Mdeaccosta What I was thinking...he probably pushed any friends and family out of his life and was jealous.

Sorry, you're story was great, and I'm happy family member moved before anything worse happened. It's a shame they had to move instead of that jackass, but at least nobody ended up hurt.
I’ve heard this story before, but the way you told it made it worth listening again, great work, man! 🤙🏾
Can't help thinking I would like to live next to his neighbor. What a nice guy.
I wish I had that neighbor next door. Such an intelligent and sensible guy.
Yes, bringing up the dog, with the narrator's voice becoming "uppity," was unnecessary and added nothing but bias to this report. Narrator's needs to develop less demonstrative style and language. It's a tad childish. Otherwise extremely well done!
Same 💙
“You fuckin dope” my favorite line u have ever said
This neighbor is spot-on. Sensible home-security precautions are one thing. But there's a kind of gun owner out there, the "I wish someone would try something against me" types like Dunn, who just have a thirst for violence. I'm all for strict gun control, but I realize it isn't so simple in a country where the gun is a symbol of independence and self-reliance. There are tons of responsible gun owners out there. The problem is the people who own guns as a power fantasy. The biggest problem is that it can be hard to tell who those people are until it's too late.
A bottle of wine and a bag of chips? And what a peak moment in high culture that must have been! 🧐
this is MONSTERS = 100% punk rock confirmed!!
It makes me unreasonably happy😂😂😂
"Get the f♥ck outta here!" 🤣 I lose it every time.
Dunn needs the chair!! Someone in the big house needs to pay dunns cell a visit.
so tragic for these kids to come across this ticking time bomb, prayers to the families. ok now i just realized why i really enjoy your common sense,
call it what it is Narration, i grew up with 5 older brothers and a father who could smell bs from mile away and call it by it's name (education and streetsense). I hope your health has improved and thank you for all the work you do.
His girlfriend deserves a lot of credit for being 100% honest.
I totally agree. She was great. Also, if that witness hadn't written down his license plate number and they hadn't been able to find Dunn so quickly, I am pretty sure that she would have gone to the police within a few days.
He is truly disgusting she was disgusted by him to stupid racist pos
@@joemoody2626 Lol no she wasn't. She was about to marry him. She knew what he was like, and yet sure chose to stay. Telling the truth is the absolute bare minimum, why is everyone giving her credit for doing what she was supposed to do?

I called out LOL
I've listened to this case numerous times from your channel and JCS. I feel silly for realizing that this man actually wanted a confrontation with these young men. If he hated that "thug music" so much, there were other places he could've parked. In fact, he could've went to a different gas station. No, he wanted a reason to use his gun. Unfortunately for these young man, he thought he could claim self defense easily because they were black teenagers and would be angst if a middle-aged, white man told them to turn off their music. The more he antagonized the young men, the more he believed he'd have credibility in shooting them.
There is no thanksgiving day here in Australia but I wish everyone peace and happiness and I feel thankful every day for the life I have,, thanks for a great episode. I’ve seen a lot about his case but as usual you have snippets no one else has, ♥️🌈🇦🇺

@@EYE_GOTCHAthe only day I celebrate here is ANZAC day where everyone remembers the soldiers etc who died in all the wars. A great many get involved. A lot of people like to have a paid day off.
This a-hole reminds me of Michael Drejka. I hope you'll cover that one too.
I can't imagine the pain Jordan's family is going through as he was their miracle baby. Such a sad sorrow!

So many things he did after the shooting was such a clear sign of awareness and guilt
this is kind of off topic but the old neighbor guy reminds me a lot of my grandpa who passed away two and a half years ago and it was so nice to be reminded of him thank you ❤️
I've met some strangers for a brief moment that remind me of my stepdad I still miss dearly, only thing they don't do is smoke like he did.
The neighbor was awesome. Makes me proud to see good people portrayed from my much maligned home state. We're not all Florida Man or Florida Woman.
I remember this case very well because I was so worried he would get away with murdering that teenager in cold blood. Let’s be honest, how many times have cases, similar to this one, gone in favor of the defendant?! Heck, it almost did in the first trial. Luckily the second jury didn’t fall for his “I was the poor scared to death white guy confronted and threatened by 3 thugs” routine. They saw him for the kind of person he really is.
This guy cracks me up. Lol.
Jordan’s mom, Lucy McBath, went on to run for Congress and represents a district in GA. She and her ex-husband are lovely. This was so heartbreakingly unnecessary.
It takes real strength to seize power from the jaws of despair.
Why did she divorce her ex-husband?
