  • Achari kaleji is a popular dish in Pakistani cuisine, and is often served at special occasions and celebrations, which made with lamb or goat liver (kaleji) cooked in a flavourful pickling spice blend (achar).
    Here's a recipe of Achari Kaleji:
    Ingredients:
    * 1\2 kg lamb or goat liver (kaleji),cut into small pieces
    * 1 large onion chopped
    * 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    * 1 tsp cumin seeds (zeera)
    * 1 tsp coriander seeds
    * 1 tsp fennel seeds
    * 1 tsp red chili powder
    * 1 tsp salt
    * 1\2 tsp garam masala
    * 1\2 tsp turmeric powder
    * 1\2 cup yogurt
    * 3 tbsp oil
    * 1 tbsp achari masala (pickling spice mix)
    * 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
    * chopped fresh coriander
    * 1 tbsp vinegar
    * 1 cup lukewarm water
    Instructions:
    - First soak lamb or goat liver (Kaleji) in vinegar and luke warm water for 10 mins then rins well 2-3 times.
    - Heat oil in a pan over medium flame. Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds.Let them sizzle. Add onion and cook until it becomes translucent.Add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, yogurt, Saute for 5 mins.
    - Add the liver pieces and cook until they are tender or brown on all sides.
    - Add achari masala and lemon juice.Cook for another 2-3 mins.
    -Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with roti.
