My dad owned property on PEI. He got me into the canadian silver coins. I have many maples and many many proof coins. I regularly pay multiple times over spot for proofs and i feel they will hold value. Its worth the money to keep your coin safe and its now worth what you paid in totallity. The eagles are the same over sppt unless u order from the mint.
I really like the Maple as well! I have many of them and will continue to add them to my stack from time to time! When silver is over $30 an ounce you will not worry about the $28 you paid for that coin! When silver is at $50 you will wish you could have bought 1000oz at $28... In the long run it is a win win!
A big mistake was buying from APMEX. APMEX has a great selection and service but their premiums are much higher than other very good online dealers. I buy a lot of coins from SDBullion, JMBullion, and Hero bullion. The other mistake was buying Silver Eagles. I have some ASEs but I overpaid for them as well. Until the premiums come down on the ASEs, I am sticking to 10 ounce bars, high quality rounds (Sunshine Mint, etc), and lower priced sovereign coins (Britannias, Philharmonics, and, when on sale, Maples).
Just like the spot price of gold, the spot price of silver is notional. In other words, a lot of people who think they own silver or gold because they have a certificate are going to find there are a lot of other people with a claim to the same silver or gold coins. This is why there is a difference between the spot price of silver and the real thing. That difference could widen a lot if a whole lot of people with certificates try to take physical delivery at the same time and find the silver isn`t there.
I was paying $28 for Maples and now if you can find them for $35 seems to be good deal. I have about #25 of them and I'll probably get more eventually. I have #20 Eagles but the premium is out of control at the moment.
Wow. Apmex, 50% premium, capsules... Maybe you got lucky. You made all the mistakes on one coin. Now you know better. I prefer maples to ASE's, frankly, even though I'm in the US. Anything highly recognizable will sell.
The CSM silver are much better but you know before they had lots of issues with spotting. Keeping a spreadsheet is really needed. WOW, premiums were pretty crazy in 2020, we all learn from our mistakes.
It is not a mistake i sold my silver for 30.00 when it dropped under 35.00 i told the person it is dropping so i will give you a dell i think it was 2012 maybe
Same difference here in Canada. I pay more for an Eagle than a Maple. The base stack should be composed of mainly Constitutional coins. Your LCS or jeweler, will pay you barely $1 more for an Eagle than a Buffalo. So why pay $3 or $4 extra for the privilege of holding an Eagle or Maple? Not financially wise. So stack "Junk Silver" as much as you can. It is being melted by the ton!! Before long, US Constitutional coins will increase in value way beyond their melt value. Great video!! Cheers
3 years later and its one of the closer coins to spot price lol. I Love maples 🍁
Big facts and why I chose to stack them 🎉
My LCS treats Maples and Britannias as generics. Big win.

Why are the premiums in Mexican coins are much higher than Canadian or US coins
I collect only maples...and I'm from the states...
That’s the wave fr
My first coin too. I happen to like the reverse. 🇬🇧⚓️. God bless her.
So what's your point beside rumbling?
What are those capsules with the black band? If that's pvc it will damage the coins

I bought a monster box of 2023 maples for $14,000. That being said I like junk silver and of course gold.
Does the capsulated maple leaf react with sun light
The Maple was my first coin. I wanted something other than generic rounds. Now I like to get a variety of different coins from around the world.
Same here! I love me my eagles but maples are right up there in my mind
welp you've made your money back now!!
I saw that one with Lady Bullion too. When you bought that- the premiums where through the roof.
They were ridiculous looking back now 😅

Cool video

@Silver Eagle Eddie I have 5 of the TPM 10 oz bars. Have you found anywhere to get the same bar in the 1 oz size? Stack em high and deep!
Go to JM bullion and set up the in stock notification
Those Texas bars are HARD to get...my 10oz was supposed to be a flip but I love it too much lol
@@SilverEagleEddie I'm on the stock notification at TPM. Hopefully they will get some in. Heck even ebay doesn't have them.
Sweet collection! All those shinies!!! 😀👍
I must admit maples are gorgeous, but you should try Britannias 😉

Completely agree Ty, thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment!
Oh the awe in your voice whilst looking at that beautiful coin is worth the extra bit of money you paid!
My first coin was a rev proof maple. Absolutely gorgeous! I also paid too much, but hey! We learn!
