Anita Etta thank you !
Anita thank u so much
Well said! This kind of cooking is made with lots of pepper! Thats the authentic version. Why 'Westernise' it? If you don't like pepper, don't add it, but don't ask to leave it out of a recipe.
My sister. Thank you for watching.
@@micheleperfumista8363 not everyone loves pepper it's not about westernizing it.
Put pepper in yours and let sleeping dogs lie. The internet and it's bullies smfh

Nearly 200,000 views is a lot of views!!!
I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge with us. I live with a Nigerian and have had to learn how to cook his favourite Yuraba dishes over the years. As a white woman who grew up eating a very Western diet, it has taken many years and many lessons with my wonderful Sister-in-law to be able to cook certain dishes. Your videos are so easy to follow and the dishes are quick and easy but still manage to taste authentic, even when made by a white non Yuraba person. xx
Amazing 😉
Could you please upload how to dry the cat fish at home. Thanks a lot

The way my mouth is watering is unseemly! Looks deliiiiicious!

Looks great except too much salt (hopefully it’s not table salt/sodium chloride)! We’ll killing ourselves with high salt content.
But love the recipe!
THIS IS SIMILAR TO HOW I MAKE GUMBO. THE JOLLOF RICE IS SIMILAR TO HOW I MAKE SPAJISH RICE. I USE SHRIMP AND CRAB MEAT SEAFOOD FOR THE GUMBO. IT IS amazing, the similarities. Ź

Thank you for watching. You can add pepper most definitely when cooking yours. I generally do not add pepper if my kids are eating too. I always have pepper on the side though. So feel free to add pepper.

thank you
No pepper or palm oil in your soup woman
Oh my gosh! You make cooking very interesting. Your explanation, details and techniques makes it superb. I know it will taste delicious as well. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you for watching
All u needed to do is to take the fresh fish out and put the okra and the spinach first since it may need stiring for proper incorporation for infusion , good job though
Thanks for watching
👌🏽👍🏼😋
Can you share how you dry the fish, please ?
You did not add any pepper in your soup, how does it taste without pepper, okra for that matter

I wanna see how to smoke the fish pls. Nice video. True I was worried about the stones in the Kanwa
Saah Nicole
No stones in good kanwa dear
Some people and their obsession with pepper! It never ends!
One of my favorite dishes in the world! What's the "Kaun"?
It is limestone
@@AfricanNutritionTV thank you so much
When you mentioned kids eating, I thought that you were going to boned both the cat fish and red snapper fish. ( these fishes in particular, have lots of sharp threatening bones).
The shrimps are half cooked/ smoked, they don’t need to stay that long on cooking, the jumbo shrimps too. I thought you were going to remove the fish, boned them, set aside, along with the shrimps, and add them at the last minutes of cooking, allow the okra to cook a bit longer, since you added all that water in the blender ( about adding pepper, someone made the comment, it’s not quite necessary, could be added to your taste when eating )
Okra is a highly healthy, but delicate meal. Precautions is highly needed when preparing it with fresh and dry fish, ( one could easily get a bone stuck down in their throat when eating).
Thank you for sharing, it looks delicious. I am very much interested in what you added in for the green color, I usually use soda. I will look for it in the African store in my town.
Please do not feel offended, I was just giving my opinion. Besides, everyone cooks differently ☺️
and I did that when serving them! Thanks for watching.
Sure right abt d pepper not necessary d fishes too I tot as much
