Female reindeer actually have antlers. Small ones. Thermal be one other type of deer that the female has antlers, though I don't remember. Still, I would specify if I were telling the fairy tale (or transcribing it,, as the case may be).
Fun fact: mythologist think that when sailors fell out the ships they saw the sea potatoes (Manatees) and thought they saw a mermaid. Now imagine the little mermaid with that in mind.
What happened to the girl's parents who would be so sad if they lost their daughter? Best ending is she married the prince and send for her parents who have long missed her and now see what a fine young woman she's grown up to be. Very interesting story, thank you for reading to us 😊
Thank you for introducing me to my new favourite fairytale 💜 I’ve finally found the perfect balance of weird and whimsical with a happy ending! (Especially if the girl kept her shapeshifting powers... 👀)
Here's a little note: the attribution to Madame d'Aulnoy is actually an error, due to the Orange Fairy Book listing it right after one of hers. The actual source is Dr. D. Francisco de S. Maspons y Labros' "Cuentos Populars Catalans" (Catalan Folk Tales)
"I have fallen in love with a beautiful deer" 🤣🤣🤣

Sea potatoes, yes, are they friends with Sea cucumbers?
@@ikmwrime29sorryaira60 Yes very much so.
@@cookiegacha2701 Hehe, I can just imagine a group of Manatees just swimming around a sea pickle wondering what it is
@@ikmwrime29sorryaira60 Aw so cute

This would have made a good video game with all the changing into different animals to reach new areas - like a fairytale Altered Beast or something.
I love the part "I fell in love with a deer." 😂.... Love your videos 💚
You inspired me to write my own fairytale, not this story, but this channel in general.
If she’d turned into a squirrel a lot of that shape shifting could have been skipped.
You can’t beat that fairytale logic haha

The deer might've been an elk or a reindeer, since both genders have antlers.
Oh deer lol
This should have been called “The Skinchanging Girl.”
I believe we have a Circle of the Moon Druid on our hands.

So the fish that got eaten in the beginning was quite possibly a cursed human?
Fun fact: An ant can carry things 100× his original size.
The prince is a furry
