Not gonna lie, for an aspiring rookie artist, this is extremely exciting and inspiring to watch. After all, Odacchi is one of the reasons i chose to begin honing the craft.
What I’ve noticed about a lot of amazing artists lately is that they always draw super loose and haphazard at the start because they know they’re just going to clean it up in the end. It’s incredible to watch that before and after

21:30 I'm surprised he didn't smear the ink after doing that. Im guessing this is after he let it dry for a while but still kinda impressive there wasn't a little bit of smudging
@@robloxfiona4809 an unintelligent way of saying that he is impressed by the skill that he has acquired through patience and hard work. Actually if you ask me, that’s a skill, not everyone has the patience for anything. I know people who will most likely be drug addicts their whole lives. They weren’t patient, couldn’t wait for the finer things in life.

@@sophiajarauta1183 I used to like it but I found it to be silly and ridiculous the longer it went on, so I just decided to stop watching, but just because I dislike the series doesn't mean I have to dislike the art too.Oda's artwork is really good and If there's anything dealing with his art, I'll watch it for inspiration as an aspiring artist/animator. If you and other people enjoy one piece then I respect that but as for me I'm done with it.

It made me laugh, smile, cry, and just be emotional. So now its my favorite anime out of many I have watched. I respect that you don't like it, and that is completely fine. A normal Pencil will do, it's pretty much the same thing except Oda's lacks an eraser I think. To color I believe he uses Copic Markers, and he might've just used normal paper to draw on
he is using a type of paper called kent paper b4,kent paper is a type of thick paper for inking and water coloring and is the go to for mangakas,b4 is the size.he probably uses a nice standard pencil for sketching lighter rougher outline sketches for the story board,and then he might of used a different pencil thats a bit more normal[or he probably uses the same pencil just different styles]and then there are nibs[or dip pens,or quills]that he uses in this picture,the main one is known as the zebra g-nib,[zebra=brand,g-nib is the type of nib,or dip pen,or quill]he starts using this one at 9:21,it is a go to for mangakas,and is also known for being hard to use because of how easily the line changes width because of pressure,but it is also the greatest one if mastered,then there is the maru nib[or dip pen,or quill]I don't know what brand of maru nib he uses,but maybe he also used zebra for that one also considering theres is pretty good too,they are used for detail and fine lines,and are used for speed lines,focus lines ex.,it is also a go to for professional mangakas and is much more stiff compared to the g-nib,and is much easier to use,but has not a lot of line variation compared to the g-nib,also used for detailed backgrounds,he starts using this one at 14:13.the ink he uses for these great nibs are a ink a pilot ink,also a go to for professional mangakas.lastly he is using ether copic markers,or brush tip markers[there pretty similar] they are meant to look like the beautiful water colors mangakas use,not quite as good,but none the less much easier to use[that goes for both]brand unknown]he starts using these at 21:55.
@@DevinhoAFC Oda is definitely on their level. His buildings are on another level. His action scenes flow smoothly. Especially his double page color spreads. Obata may be a better illustrator but Oda uses the medium of manga to it's full extent. I would say that he's on the level of Toriyama

I also like one piece since my childhood, but oda draws like a noob in comparison with artists like obata or toriyama.
And i know it's difficult to compare this artists, because of there own styles. But oda is just not on this level.

尾田先生、長年やってきてるからか、パースとかかなりいい加減よね。アシスタントが丁寧に修正したり誤魔化してあげてる印象。
決して尾田先生を貶めてるわけじゃなくて、漫画家ってパースだとかそういう技術的なものって大して重要ではないんだなって感じる。(持ってて損はないけど)
そもそも人間の目やカメラで撮った写真だって曖昧なもんなんだから、そんな些末な部分どうでもええわ
