Kask is arguably one the sweetest looking helmet on the market. Notwithstanding is it’s attention to detail in all the helmet performance metrics. Nice choice.
I really wanted to try out a Utopia to replace the Giro Vanquish that just got killed in a crash (went into a steel pole head/shoulder first at around 20 mph), but no MIPS :(.
I used a Protone and got rid of it, just didn’t like the look of it. Currently riding with an Oakley Aro5 and the new Catlike Mixino Evo. Oakley’s fit system and MIPS integration is best in the market IMO. The Catlike is just bold, not for everyone!
Ronald, you go way too far to make your equipment match but I am the exact same way. The utopia looks amazing; but in my opinion the matte black version of the protone and utopia looks better than the version you have.
@@ronykuba no, the new Kask matte helmets are made differently now. The finish doesn't flake off or easily scratch anymore. They cost extra. MUCH better than your ugly, cheap plasticy shiny mushroom cap (matte looks smaller too).
the thing i don't get is, why aren't you riding in the world tour as of yet. you do same amount of training as most pros, you got the same or better material then used by the pro teams and you put out the same watt/kg numbers. I enjoy your videos and that is by no means a bad comment. im just curious... What are you missing? is it the bike handling skill, is it the skill to right in a peloton, or is it the fact that you are no full time athlete? All the best from germany
@@leonardosoares2002 I guess its also the pure fact that you need to learn the art of racing from the ground up. I got an FTP of around 5,2W/kg, other riders i race against are way fitter then me. But in the end positioning and smart racing is winning me races, not an 6+ W/kg FTP.
w/kg is very overrated. Most races w/cda is more important, even hilly races. 5,2 w/kg at 60 kg won't get you very far in racing, but 5,2 w/kg at 75 kg on the other hand...
I use the protone since a year and it is a nearly perfect helmet in my opinion.
Also using Kask protone and absolutely love it. Also lover price point Kask helmets have those same adjustment features.

It's a quality product

Kask always has the best fit.
Ronald. If you still using the Protone. Do you know the actual weight size small?
The internal paddings are removable for washing? My Friend who own one says they are not which was surprising to me when I heard it
They are attached with hook & loop
@ronald kuba if you’re still using Bontrager helmets, which helmet would you choose between MIPS Ballista or MIPS Velocis? New Velocis that is.
I've never had a problem with overheating using the Ballista, so I'd stick to that
Ronald Kuba thank you I appreciate it
Overall, how is it comparing to poc octal aero?
It's much better ventilated

Matte helmets are only nice if you don't use them

Ronald Kuba I don’t understand why you said that.

Ronald is not a average cyclist but is definitively not in a world tour level. Maybe for a continental team in the best scenario.

He is not even at Conti level.
He already explain that very extensively.
I finally get to save money, I am not smart enough to wear a helmet. Just saved $100 usd .
You don't wear a helmet while riding?
Helmets save
