I have the the exact same setup on both the KLR and T7. If you have less than 5amp fuse in your Battery tender pig tail it will pop.
Alot of people use the cigarette lighter aux that comes on the Bike. But usually this are only 2-3amp.

Thanks for the comment, good to carry some spare fuses just to be safe.
