  • I ran into Luis, a field service mechanic for Palfinger, and we did a quick interview! Luis is very knowledgeable when it comes to cranes and hydraulic systems. Hopefully the more we run into each other, we might do a full truck tour and interview! Let me know if you like these kind of videos, I will try and do more as I run into more field mechanics!

I love that crane on his truck too. I've been dragging my feet for years on getting one for my F450. I just don't do heavy mobile work, mostly handrails and fences, etc. But c'mon, a good mobile rig gotta have a nice crane. Ya never know. Great work, keep it up! 💪

@@brianswelding I 100% agree. I’ve been wanting one for a LONG time. My next service truck is definitely having one. Even if it’s a small one, like 3k pounds.

I know the feelin real well. I’m the field service foreman and time is short in every instance. It’s a nonstop rush from one broke machine to the next. Everyone needs help and we are the guys that provide the help. But those networking opportunities are priceless. Building relationships with other techs is an excellent way to keep the customers up and running. “You scratch my back I scratch yours”. Mutual respect and appreciation for the knowledge is bigger that most techs understand. Make friends with other techs. It might save your ass

Exactly! We exchanged contact information and he said to reach out whenever I run into any issues with a similar machine.

Couldn't have said it better. As a forklift field tech, I've helped competitor techs when we're on site together. Like wise, they've helped me. That's what I like about this type of work, we are in the same boat so let's help each other out regardless of who we work for.

That truck is a bad MF. I’ve been in lift equipment and construction/mining equipment for a minute and had a badass palfinger F550 at my last dealership and it was a great rig. Tryin like hell to get my current dealer to get another one for me

I wish I would have spent more time going over his truck, but he was kind of in a rush and so was I. I love his rig!
