I found this video much more interesting than just plain silver stacking. I believe your problem was you didn't have the ring level in the clay when you pushed it down in there. Also you poured a whole lot more silver than you needed to. Last, you need your clay packed even tighter than you had it. Think about using a smaller/thinner drill bit and I'd bet money it comes out way better. I'm glad to see you branching out into another hobby or for a small business money making idea.
That’s really cool man. I’d probably go with sterling just to make it a bit more durable for daily wear, but that’s just my choice. Others may want the 999
Budget Bullion Stacker yes sterling is pretty much the standard for silver jewelry. I work with 999 much more than the normal person so that’s why I cast this one that way. it’s not super practical because it will get beat up but that’s why I didn’t spend to much time getting it perfect 🤷🏽♂️🔥🐉
@Silver Dragons great video, I’m learning more about pouring silver, I want to start doing it myself sometime. Your videos are great resources for this.
Ring looks cool with the hammered finish. Glad you posted this, and I'm glad you have some great links as well. Liver of sulphur gel?? What an interesting idea
Well done laddie. Great job. Nice bit on what is needed son. I use a small drinking straw to make my vent holes. Just twist them in and then tap them to clean them out. Works great. Nic step by step here this day my dear friend.
great job my friend !! .. make sure you use a little air to blow out the loose sand ( clay ) from the pouring hole !!!.. you dont want to take in any of the sand in to the pour when you silver goes in !! that leaves you with an imperfect pour and little areas that are missing silver .. other than that great job !!!
I know nothing about silver pouring, but as usual I won't let that prevent me to throw in my two cents; maybe a small breather vent on the opposite side of where the molten metal comes in might be a good idea? That would give the gasses and whatnots a place to escape when pouring. As always, thanks for your effort and videos, much appreciated.
New Stacked lol I would say for making fine rings with settings it’s probably better to do lost wax casting but that of course is a whole new ball game 🔥🐉
reason you keep getting pits and missing part on edges is 2 reasons 1 you do need to pack the clay alot more than what you are showing . 2 you need to add a air release hole on the back side basically what you did on the front but smaller . may want a catch pan under it
I L💙VE this video ! Great job .! You are a great inspiration to me ! (And many others I’m sure) I was try to think of a way to do a specific pour and this just turned on the lightbulb 💡 in my head !! Yea that’s right ! I search your archives for techniques I can try! 😁 🐉💨 you’re the best ! 💙💙💙
was helpful. i was trying to find something like this, im about to cast a few redgold and silver rigns myself for the first time. and wanted to figure out what kind of sand etc youre using and the mold ring itself off to shopping i go for the mold!
Nice work and great video, the only thing I would say is get a steel ring mandrel at Harbor Freight if you don’t already have one, they are cheaper than jewelers saws and will likely last a lot longer!
Deep in the land of Oregon, in the fires of the electric furnace. The Silver Dragon forged a silver ring. And into this ring he poured his creativity, his magic, and his will to dominate all silver pouring.
Hello I have a problem. My silver doesnt travel inwide the molde... sometime even before fall inside the way for create the piece the silver becames solid like a frozer waterfall .do you know why? That to answer me
Dude I had to go run and look to make sure if the very first ring I cast was still in my silver collection (just kidding or am I?) because yours look just like the one I made so wow to you man!. I really do want cast my very 1st gold ring and preferably from some old worn gold coin but scrap may be cheaper any suggestions I have melted lots of cool stuff but never made me a MAN gold ring. At last, now I can spread these out as gifts and corrupt the minds of my enemies from afar.
One ring to rule them all.
Hahhahahah best comment
It don't work like that. You'll probably end the body of your spirit if you use your creators children for harm
If you do two channels one to poor in and one for the silver to over flow you would get the whole ring perfect with less clean up
I found this video much more interesting than just plain silver stacking.

Susan Serwatka thanks my friend I really rushed through this one normally I would take more time on it 👍🏽🔥🐉
Sand casting is not for jewelry. It is for machine parts in heavy industries. Better use silicone for high temperatures.
Imma make my own wedding ring following this tutorial so thank you in advance cool guy from the interwebs

Roskis Posti yes I do that sometimes for sure and it does help! I didn’t spend a ton of time on this mold but it ended up being alright anyways 🔥🐉
Good thing you did this before I screw it up lmao. I am also going to attempt to set gems

New subscriber I want to do this
Looking good. Can I use normal clay (like Art clay) to make the mould? Thanks
Very cool
I like it on raged finish, its a stamp of hand

Pom Z thanks so much it was a fun project 😁🔥🐉
Just bought some thanks !
Any advice for someone first starting out?
This was really help full
Wow, that's pretty cool!
Fiat Destroyer thank you so much!! I had fun with this one 😁🔥🐉
Interesting/ informative, subscribed
Awesome! How does one find a ring to use for the intial mold?
Dude its awesome
Can this be done with aluminum
Cool piece💍👊
aka_just_matt thanks a bunch I had fun making it! 🔥🐉
No venting hole (rizer)?
Which powder you use
Can you reuse the sand?
A silver dragons designed punch would be a good way to mark it. Silver dragons design all the way around the outside.
TargaWheels yeah that would be super cool. good idea!!! 🔥🐉
i dont wanna sound mean or bossy, three things i saw that you didnt do.1. didnt sift your clay,. 2. you didnt pack clay tight enough, love and peace
What's #3??????

4:44 I can't get my ring out without the center following along, anyone has any tips ? I am literally stuck at this stage. Thank you
Is there a certain brand of delft clay that you would recommend? Thanks!
Reed Clardy I don’t think brands exist it’s just clay 😂🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 ok thanks
How much weight? it looks great.
Sterling Cannabis it weighs just over 8 grams 👍🏽 it was a fun project 😁🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 If I was to ever wear silver, ..... I do keep a "Den of Thieves" bar in my wallet.
what kind of sand??
Jane pikin
Great videos but the hands 😅😅 I was in the army we were brainwashed into not speaking with our hands like an old Italian man. 😂
Not the brightest light on the string
Jane Pikina
Why don't you try and pound it out?
Pouring it like that seems kinda lame. Maybe to pour a bar would be good
How a ring to cast
Where did you get that mold from ?
Kickink kustoms ebay 👍🏽🔥🐉
I had a look but couldn’t find it , not really sure what it’s called to search correctly for it ?
Great video by the way , I’m buying everything I need atm to start my first ring , you and a few other have inspired me to do so
Kickink kustoms like this and good luck! rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F174091666620
Casting a ring in a sand mold is not a good idea. Better result with fine details is achieved with silicone for high temperatures.
When you can get one of your stamps on there and .999 stamp let me know and I'm buying one ;)
SpegTacular i’ll def have to get some smaller stamps 😂🔥🐉
Oh wow, that would be awesome....hammered & the dragon stamp! I would probably by a couple....my 4 yr old grandson loves dragons♥️ btw, awesome video!
8:32 So obviously im gonna use this to push this out... crack
What is it with the finger signs. East side/west side. Otherwise ok video just annoying waving your hands all the time.
I love your videos but I hate your talking gang sign hands 😂
Are you going to make 9 rings of power to give to the kings of men?
XdebugX Games lol yes and I keep the one ring to rule them all 😂🔥🐉
squegie luigi
Nope, the cringe hand gestures alone were enough to drive me away.
You should of made the channel before packing the top then removed the ring
Don’t work with copper, it sucks
Looks great
Get a manicure, dude.
