The SECRET Boat Graveyard Where Boats Go To DIE! Ep. 156.

- Опубликовано: 3 июн 2021
- We leave our mooring at Devil's Garden and continue down the River Weaver to what remains of Sutton Locks, the secret boat graveyard where boats go to die. Colin uncovers dozens of abandoned narrowboats, Weaver Barges, a working boat called Gowanburn, and a 250 year-old Mersey Flat called Daresbury. We continue on to Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge near Frodsham and gain access to the control room to watch the 520 ton bridge being swung using the original gear to allow Silver Fox through.

Ineos...😂 Brilliant!...and yes i had to explain it to my Wife ...love from Michael n Jo x
I thought you were impersonation the farmer from Shaun the sheep there in the outtakes Colin 😂
Do you have What 3 Words for the boat Graveyard please? Ta muchly! Another Great Vlog! :-)
What a different way to see the countryside, by a boat! Great history lesson too!
Awsome do love a bit of history and as a boilermaker welder for the last 37yrs love old enginering ps up the mighty Irons 😁👍👍
What an eerily beautiful place.
Amazing…….
This was a most interesting vlog. The view of your narrow boat going by the Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge was great. Thanks
Wow man, when you consider this video was made just under a year and a half after your first ones where you were discussing getting a boat, then it’s off the charts, in terms of production value, editing, content, confidence etc….
So lovely to see you look so happy and positive. Looking forward to following your journey. So wish I could leave the rat race too. X
This was amazing 😀 I never knew about boat grave yards, that's quite sad but at least it's becoming a nature reserve for water fowl and wildlife. 👍🏻
Another stunning presentation - brilliant. Love the out-takes and with some of the sounds you make when you muff a line, you could do voice-overs for Shaun the Sheep!
I wonder what future archaeologists would say about that boat graveyard? Assume religious reasons?
Excellent drone footage! Brilliant video 👍👍
I love the way you tell the stories. You keep everything interesting.
Were you on that amazing bridge when it swung around or did you leave the camera on there while you watched from the path?
Watching this one again as I loved it so much the first time, and I am all caught up on your latest vlogs. But it had me crying yet again to see all those wonderful narrowboats left to rot, history just dumped for no good reason! They were all very worth persevering in a canal trust museum especially the oldest one from the 1700’s! Humans just don’t look to the future enough which is our downfall.🙃
Just love your vlogs, very very well informed. Thanks again for all you do.
My wife and I, from over The Pond, have come to love our Friday mornings, because of you two. You guys really are an awesome start of our day and weekend. We're full-time RVers living in the desert in a house with no name.
This time I found myself noticing what a wide range of expressions Shaun has as he follows Colin's narrative. Really love watching you two.
