    Still don't have that guard on the hydraulic motor. Did the servicing, replaced the rear idler, and put on a new track but didn't have two minutes more to put the cover guard back on the hydraulic motor. When you break a fitting out of the side of the thing and have to buy a new hydraulic motor you'll wish you'd had time to put it back on. I'm giving you a hard time but it does need it just in case. This is a cake walk compared to the way this lot was the first time you cut it. Looks good. Ventrac tractors are nice pieces of equipment with lots of optional attachments. I've wanted one for a long time. Have the vacationers showed up in droves down there in Horry county yet? Stay well. -Wil 👍

    Could you show us the controls you use when using this mowers sometime and how you switch between high and low flow? If you run it on high flow, you could use a lower engine RPM and save more fuel and less ware and tear on the machine. You should consider getting one of those flashing orange beacons on the top of your skid steer and excavator so when you do have to have your machine on the road, people can see you better. Especially with everyone not paying attention anymore.

      Yeah we have a lot of sandy loam. I don't offer it because most (if not all) of my clients don't care enough to pay for that, they just want the lots cut and that's it. Thanks James!

    I agree with Scott. Why do you back all the way down a row instead of cutting nothing? I know sometimes you say you are making sure everything is cut and to chop sticks up finer. But, you can see there is nothing left on these rows.

    • @paulriversred738
      @paulriversred738 3 года назад +1

      Tou cant see it all in the vid I've ran one of these alot and when just going forward it just lays some over and when u back up it cuts it all real good plus when you back up you are mulching it it up real fine if he where to just run it like say a regular lawnmower the finish wouldn't be as fine cut and you'd hv stuff still layed over uncut him backing up insures the customer gets a perfect cut

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 года назад +1

      I explain that at the end of the vid, I backed up all the way because I don't want to cut toward the road for safety reasons. The cutter could throw something and I don't want that going toward the road.

    • @komitadjie
      @komitadjie 3 года назад +13

      Pulling back with the front of the deck a bit down pulls the downed material back into the blades with the teeth on the bottom of the main plate and shreds it up a lot more. Makes the finished cut look a LOT better. Plus, it helps clear the material that starts to clog the deck after a bit. You'll notice that this mower has no discharge chute, it's grinding everything up inside. It's a brush cutter, not a mower. So by pulling backwards, you grind that material fine and eject it to leave room for the blades. :)
      Plus, the mower will eject objects to the front, especially the front-right since the blades are spinning from left to right as viewed from the operator's position, so you have to keep an eye on the direction you're facing. Otherwise, you could throw chunks and high speed into one of those neighboring houses or out into the street and injure someone or damage things.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 года назад

      Yes the hydraulic lines are in-flow and out-flow and the smaller third line is a pressure relief line that returns excess hydraulic oil under pressure back to the hydraulic tank on the machine.

      With respect, I completely explained why I was backing all the way up at the end of the vid, you have to watch the vid to the end typically to get the context of why I do things the way I do. And the reason I back up is that if I were to turn around and cut toward the road that is a safety hazard where the cutter could throw something into the road and hit a car or something of the like. I am not wasting time, I am being safe, and there is a big difference. I would suggest watching the entire vid next time.
