Mega Mower X does amazing job of cutting tall heavy brush. Open back is great & helps prevent forward thrown trash.
I have property OCD something bad! Those trees would drive me nutts! I see a blade of grass sticking up on the other side of my lawn I would drive the mower all the way over just to cut it. Great job!
I feel the same way,those branches in my face I would have to cut them that's just the way I am. Things out of place drive me crazy.I think I have a little OCD TOO.

If you're gonna buy one of those heavy duty mowers and you've got that one, why send it back? Why not just keep it and buy it cause you already have it? They should give you half off on it because it's used and also because of all the free commercial time they got from you advertising it on your channel. When they want you to buy it or send it back, and being you've decided you want one, you should hit them with I want to buy one and I'll take this one if its half price because its used and I've give you guys a lot of free advertising in my videos while using it. I'd push that hard and see if you could get a heavy discount on it. Worth a shot anyway.

Devin, this bush cutter is awesome, and you really need to get one of your own, as soon as you can afford to do so. it works so well on some of your mowing jobs. Loved the video, and hope your dog had an enjoyible time with other dogs at the diggie day care🙂
I know you love this mower, but for me it is far from my favourite. It leaves such a lot of debris in the fields and leaves them looking 'unfinished' like they need a hay-baler to come and pick it all up. I really prefer the clean look that your other cutters leave at the end. You are amazing as always and so professional in your mowing, and this machine doesnt do you justice!
If this was a front yard with a house behind I would say you have a point but for these vacant commercial lots the owners don't really care about that, as long as it's cut down, the windrows the cutter creates are not something the owners care about and neither does the city. In that regard, the efficiency that this mower creates by windrowing everything to the side when mowing it down saves alot of time/fuel and is much easier on the engine and hydraulics of the machine.
Buddy I was just thinking the same thing as you did about the baler, and I'm with you on his other mowers did a lot better job.
I think the point of the exercise is to knock down the growth before it becomes too unmanageable in size. Agree that it would be nice to recover the cuttings and mulch them for fertilizer but they contain so many weed seeds that no one would likely want it.

It's an impressive machine, and watching it go sets off my childhood playing in the sandbox instincts.
This was what first got me into your channel. I love the mulching part of it too, but I came in early in your channel's life, and this really brings me back to the days of the OG lots like the OMG lot, the jungle lot, and the 11,000 SQ ft nightmare lot. Back then you used to use the MTL to grind up whole trees even. My favorite parts of these brush cutting/mowing ones is the work around the trees, and trimming the low branches back. You really have exceptional skill in the more technical parts of these lots.

You know, with as much of these not-quite-mowing, not-quite-brushcutting jobs you do, have you considered a heavy duty flail mower? This Megamower is definitely a lot better than the old one with the ejection ports to help clear the blades, for sure! But a flail is kinda made for that kind of light-grinding work and might be more efficient. Not sure if it would be *enough* more efficient to be worth the investment, but something maybe worth looking at?

If you reduced your speed in half, you wouldn't have wind rows. You'll notice the footage when you back over an area you've cut it looks perfectly mulched.

have you considered making some cuts int he back of the mtl that resemble that current attachment to gie the mtl a bit of breathing room? the mtl wll not be able to keep up despite this i now..but it, in theory, should reduce the strain ont he mtl.

How does the hydraulic motor flow volume impact your duration between diesel refills? For instance, lower hydraulic flow results in lower diesel consumption?
Are you shooting these videos in 4k60 or a lower resolution and upscaling when you render?
Anyway you can get a wider cutter for your machine like maybe 10 ft 12 ft wide?
102 is the widest that is legal on a truck without a permit. So he’s stuck with what it is.
He’s mentioned several times, and demonstrated, that a wider mower would not allow him to mow between many of the trees he would manoeuvre around and then return to clear by hand (brush trimmer, chainsaw and/or string trimmer). For wide open fields a wider mower might work but his clients often want to keep some of the trees, so he has to clear around them without damaging them.

If you have the mower on demo, buy that one, rather than give it back and buy another new one. The demo items are always cheaper. Same goes for your new mega muncher the "Spanish cancela", buy the demo one they gave you to try. You could save a fair bit.
It would seem to me that it would be quicker to go all around the tree if you can get all around it than to go halfway around and get the other side on the return cut.
