Hi Ona. This is from Amira's performance during the MAX Christmas Proms 2017 concert. The shortened rendition of O Mio Babbino Caro is nevertheless, in my view, her best to date of this classic aria with her more mature voice now and of course "Your Love" is just spectacularly beautiful as you say. Your Love is on her latest and 3rd CD which has just become available to purchase, I assume directly via her website, or failing that, then shortly through Amazon as can her first 2 CDs.
Mike Barnard Hi Mike. One of my wishes is that Amira go back and sing some of her original pieces again in a different style using her incredible, more adult voice. Sancta Maria, Ave Maria Gomez, O Sole Mio, Ave Maria Gounod, O Mio Babbino Caro as an opera piece as opposed to a song, song to the moon, pie Jesu, all of them.
They would be so different now. She has such a different tone and so much more control over her voice and vibrato, and her lower range has so much more body and resonance. Would be a delight to hear, don't you think. She just amazes me with every step she takes.
I still think she has no idea how outstanding her vocal ability truly is.
Did you her the excerpt from the Amigos Para Siempre duet with Patrizio. Just heavenly, their voices complement each other so well. Can't wait for the album to arrive.
Hi Luigi. I absolutely agree that if Amira were to sing updated versions of all those past songs you mentioned, it would indeed be incredible. As you say her voice has matured beautifully, and though it has always been pure and beautiful it is now beginning to demonstrate a vocal range, tessitura and vocal timbre that befits a rising soprano of high quality. Her past renditions were fabulous at the time but would reach stellar heights now! A good example was her last rendition of O Mio Babbino Caro performed by Amira during the MAX Christmas Proms 2017 (even in its shortened version) and the recent Flower Duet, both of which illustrate the marked and amazing changes to her vocal capabilities.
I think her management and Coleske are taking Amira down the path of Classical Crossover rather than just Crossover which should be a good route to take at this stage of Amira’s career. They just need to market her products and performances much better as you have so ably pointed out. Hopefully that will come!
I haven't heard the excerpt you spoke of, only those shown on Ray's uploads, so like you, I am really looking forward to getting the new CD shortly.

I usuall fall asleep by then(0;). I just find her voice and the music so sooothing....

It is difficult to imagine but she is still 13 years old. It is tempting to say that she has grown into a beautiful young woman from that 9 year old phenomenon we saw 4 years ago. But she is not a young woman - she is still a young girl with an almost hypnotic voice and demeanor. I cannot recall anyone from any genre receiving the worldwide attention that now reveres "Amira" - as in she does not need a second name. To her parents - please honor her age and voice. She and her voice will mature and affect the world of music, God willing, for the next 50 years or more. May she never lose that indefinable innocence that, with her voice, makes her so very special.

Amira's parents separated a few years ago and her mother moved back to South Africa, with Amira and her brother Fincent. She is studying hard and doing well at school. She does quite a number of small concerts around South Africa nd a few in Europe, but she is concentrating on her education and also her charity in SA.

Okay RAy. Here's a theory that I'm going to put forth for people to contemplate. I am tired of these reactors saying how much stronger Amira's voice is getting as she gets older. Amira's voice is not getting stronger. She has just grown into her voice. I. E: Her audition 2013- note the strength, the purity, clarity and voice control she has when sings "O Mio Babbino Caro." Nine years old. At 10 years old; singing "Ave Maria" reaching notes that people couldn't believe someone that young could achieve. Ten years old; Maschtrich with Andre Rieu. Again, stength, purity, clarity, control and shocked 15,000 people. Twelve years old: Duet with Patrizio Bruanne; "O Sole Mio," strength, purity, clarity control. Also at 12 years old; "Nella Fantasia," incredible performance with, again, strength, purity and clarity and control. Then at 13 years old in 2017 Nessun Dorma and the Flower Duet. Also the Christmas performance of O Mio Babbino Caro and Your Love. Again those same atributes of her voice. What i am getting at here is: Her voice didn't change, she did. She grew into her voice. She did some refinements, albeit, subtle ones, but that is what happened. Amira started out with that phenomenal voice. Gabriella's Song, Plaisir D'Amour, Amazing Grace; Halleluja; Follow Your heart; I will Be with You; Sound of Music...sheesh! I'm exhausted trying to explain my theory....(0:)~

And the accolades go on and on. To try and describe Amira is to drain the vocabulary of superlatives. She may well already be a once in a millennium vocalist. Majestic, angelic, otherworldly, and quite simply astonishing beyond the ability of mere words to fully and justly describe.

Amira....the best female vocalist. I have listened to so many young singer on you tube since Jackie Evancho' s AGT...including Patricia K. and I enjoyed them all. But Amira...is different, she is growing so fast, her voice and singing is absolutely beautiful. No COMPARISON! We are blessed through her music. Love her!
IMO it is so wonderful that Amira's parents/management have not decked her out in flashy clothing, makeup, etc, let her focus be on the amazing voice. Ms Evancho has a great voice, but it seems to be overwhelmed by the celebrity-attitudes and treatment/marketing. I can listen to Amira's You-Tubes, her couple of CDs, over and over again, and still feel that beautiful heartache, as if the first time.

I have listened to all Amiras performances several times and each time my reaction is as if I am hearing her for the first time. She really is a remarkable singer and I am certain she will become the greatest soprano ever.

What a wonderful concert by a true vocal artist. Amira has banished any trace of amateur singing in favor of smooth, confident professionalism. Her technique remains that of a lovely natural voice: unforced, clear and seemingly tireless. Supporting her is a first-class pianist who gave her room to really perform with musicality and grace. She is a pleasure to watch and needless to say a pleasure to listen to.
