Nicaragua.. Venezuela...India... Puerto Rico... Australia...!!! They gave us a PERFORMANCE and delivered than some over hyped candidates!!!!!
Nicaragua, South Africa and USA were the standouts for me . Thailand is my sentimental favorite so I hope she steps it up in finals.
Michelle looks like she’s in the movie Baywatch, fresh from the beach look. It is so fun to watch , she is so spontaneous and fierce! And with the green EG, it is so graceful and sophisticated! ❤️Dani, u are the best! You look gorgeous! ❤

MMD'S green gown one of the best, but as i seen her.... It was her quiet elegance and the way she carried it that blew me away. She was giving me a queenly-high-fashion elegance vibe... And must i say that here movement was soooo fluid....

Nicaragua has been solid in every category. She is beautiful, her personality really shows on stage, I hope to see her in the final 3, if not Miss Universe! Miss Thailand in all respect seems "flat" in her performances even though she is the favorite.
South Africa's gown is based on metal and minerals that South africa is rich in. She's killing it. We are so proud. South africa for the win!

Wait till final, some contestants pull back & drive 50 ❤😅 and speed 200 in the final. Who knows it might be just their games.
@@sukanya662 but remember theres already grades during prelim if they didnt the best shot to be in semi it will be in or out.. so those who give 50 in the prelim and say they will give it 200 in semi it would be too late. theres also scoring in close door too dnt forget

I am not mad, I glad you didn't put Thai in Top 5. , to be honest I even didn't like when Bet web in US put Ann in No. 1 . I more like she just chill. Im not negative. if I talked to you would be chill but with written you won't see my expression. No worried.
Nicaragua is the next Miss Universe period. She is the only one with the good amount of everything altogether. There are good contestants but they either do too much in certain areas or not enough. Nicaragua was just perfect. i think you could have added Mauritius among your surprises. I liked her but not for the crown.
Honestly a bit worried for Thailand because her performance reminded me of Celeste Cortesi’s performance which lead to celeste not making it to top 20 because she looked like she held back.

Thailand is still a total package and one of the best choice for the crown. Remember how Demi-Leigh's lackluster prelim performance disappoint lots of fans but she still rise at the end.

We call the walk of Ms Philippines a snake walk..inspired from her mother's walk Melanie Marquez Ms international 79 and 1st runner up in supermodel 2 years after she won Ms international.

I know you would have preferred a colored gown on Miss India, but I think it was such a nice change up with black in the middle of all of the sparkly or colored gowns.
Noelia made me so happy, she was ON FIRE during Prelims!
As of right now my Top 5 would be USA, Guatemala, India, Nicaragua, and South Africa

MIss PHilippines! ❤️❤️❤️ Because of her outstanding preliminary performance; her intelligence, quick wit, communication skills, awards (both voice for changes and spirit of the carnival) I’m sure she’ll get to Top 5 and once she has that microphone, she would bring home that crown ❤ Fearless forecast (cooking show aside of course. I fully trust Miss Universe. It has integrity)

If Sheynnis (Miss Nicaragua) did as well in her personal interview as I think she did, then I believe she will be the next Miss Universe. I have heard her speak in the past and she's very articulate. Loved her prelim performances, especially in evening gown. She just looked like she was having such a wonderful time and everything was effortless. Also, even though she's a dark horse candidate, I think Jane (Miss Nepal) would be a wonderful Miss Universe. She would be helping to take the organization in a new direction.
She doesn't speak English that well.
The only evening gown memorable is Pakistan's. And coincidentally,
It was designed by Filipino designer Furne One Amato (Dubai based). Some think it's more of a costume but I think it's a homage of her cultural heritage. BRAVA!
That amazing gown really brought my attention to Pakistan! But let's allow the candidate to take the limelight at this moment. She gracefully and confidently brought it on stage. For sure, she will actively promote the awesome Filipino designer at her own time.
@@TinayM Yes, I agree! I mentioned it just a matter of fact with no intentions to demean how Miss Pakistan elegantly strutted it on the stage. I can never understand though why Miss U and other pageants do not even bother to put the designer name when they are broadcasting. I mean, it's a simple caption. They mention the swimsuit sponsor but not the gown designers who often lend their creations for free. And the fact that during the live telecast, we only really get to see 10 lucky ladies who will wear their gowns. And yes, it's ABOUT THE LADIES, but let's not forget that these gowns complete them and in some cases may even break a tie! Simply put, during red carpet at Awards show when a reporter asks "who are you wearing?".. is it that much different for a beauty pageant?

I would love to have Miss USA (whose mother is Venezuelan) and Miss Venezuela make it to the very end. It would be a win-win. If Miss USA wins we would also have back to back Miss USA winners, the first back to back for America in a very, very, long time.

Miss Pakistan - that gown - BREATHTAKING and her stage presence said it all.
Miss Bolivia - agree with 100% (it was my 2nd favorite gown overall) but the hair should have been down or brushed behind her ears.
BUT for me, when Miss Venezuela came out in her gown, I almost fall out of my chair and honestly, took my breath away.
I was disappointed in Miss France's performance and was surprised by Miss Portugal's.
I wish I could have been there in person this year! Seeing the gowns up close is even more spectacular!

Top 5- Colombia, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, USA and if she changes gowns, Australia, if she doesn’t, Panama, Thailand or Venezuela. Australia and Nicarague felt effortless and fresh. Glad you saw what I saw too in St. Lucia and definite biggest surprise was how uncomfortable France looked. Thought too Germany was stunning facially and so statuesque but a bit of a fish out of water for performance. Love your analysis- so thorough and positive. You are the ESPN of pageantry!

Contrary to popular belief I loved Frances gown.I do however believe she needs a bit of practice for her walk because she's such a huge favorite of mine and I really wanna see her place high.
Puerto Rico had a typical gown but her performance helped.her standout so well
USA is actually convincing me a back to back is possible and I'm trying to humble myself but she literally gave me winner energy
Thailand held back which is frustrating because she was.my predicted winner pre-prelims and I hope she.changes her gown for finals.
Philippines was my favorite gown of the night. Hands down. After a sea of silver and golds when she.came out it felt like a breath of fresh air. It was so unique

I love, love Lebanon, Pakistan, Chile, Cameroon, Namibia, Ecuador and Myanmar. They were wonderful. France, Lebanon and Pakistan are the most beautiful in my opinion.
In terms of powerhouse countries I love Colombia, Venezuela, PR, South Africa, Philippines and Australia.
Nicaragua is my overall favorite for the crown.
I was disappointed with Thailand and France.
Queen MMD of PH will surely give a very fierce fight. It is all up to her destiny if the stars align for her on the final night. ❤❤❤

I predict that Dani will run the MUO someday. Should would definitely turn it around.
I also asked the same question from different pageant vloggers why the first batch wore capes and the succeeding ones did not. Accordingly, the capes should be worn during the finals but the MUO production team had a mix up. It was an error on the team's logistics I suppose.

My guess is that those are for finals, but someone back stage sent the ladies on with them, then someone else in production was watching and radioed back stage to let them know that the ladies aren't suppose to use capes till finals, so they pulled them. That's my guess.
@@DaniWalker,that's what happened. However, the MUO production team should have allowed the succeeding batches to also wear capes to have an even playing field. The error was glaring not to be missed by keen eyed viewers and this should have been avoided if the team decided to proceed with the using of the capes. Besides, only a select few will wear it anyway during the finals for the swimwear competition so why not let all the candidates have a feel of it at prelims?

Miss Universe is looking for TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADER so I would say the winner would be in the Top 10 of Voice for Change! Top 3 Puerto Rico, South Africa and Philippines.

I would love to see a new country win like Nicaragua, especially with the pageant being next door in El Salvador. She truly shined and owned the night in both rounds, IMO. Funny, how you seemed to think that Venezuela was "fighting" to be noticed especially following USA. USA's performance was good, and I liked her, but for me the most iconic look of the night was Venezuela's gown performance. She looked like a Hollywood starlet. A true showstopper! My heart skipped a beat when she came out. Wow, just wow! Glad to see you mention Denmark cause she was really high on my list in both rounds Pakistan was another show stopper who took my breath away in gowns. Surprised you didn't mention Curacao, so elegant and statuesque!! Others in my Top 10: Bolivia, Colombia, Puerto Rico (she's top 3 in Finals!) Slovakia, Thailand, USA. I hated the silhouette of South Africa's gown. She's gorgeous though. Same issues with Brazil on both accounts. One fun anecdote, check out Miss Amazona's gown in the 2009 Miss Venezuela contest. Who does it remind you of? :) Finally, I hated Philippine's gown, her butchy slicked back hair, and the fact that she has no derriere. If I'm to be honest, I'd rather see Nepal classify over her. But Philippines gets special treatment year after year and classifies even when they don't deserve to, so it'll probably happen again. Oddly enough, I loved Celeste last year and she didn't place. Oh well!

France’s gown is either an original or knockoff of Alberto de Castro’s (or his is a knockoff) of the gown he designed for Jessica Guillén, Miss Amazonas 2009 (Venezuela). I was really shocked when I saw Diane wearing it.

Absolutely LOVED France's gown, I'm more concerned about her swimsuit performance - Tough call. I agree with Namibia and Angola. And yes, thought Slovakia's gown was really beautiful.

As much as I really like France and always wishing her to be placed high I've got to agree with you Dani and most certainly many people as well, but I'm sure she will make it to the finals. She's so remarkable and performance based prelim wont stop her. Regarding Anntonia, I wished that her swimsuit choice was different though and the sense of her holding back on the performance, was probably the rythm of the music that a bit problematic on the mood. She was so focused and probably trying to find the right balance. Comparing to the competition back home at MUT, the music on stange was so suited, hence the more lively performance. Anyway, once again I'd like to thank you for your amazing video and the joy you gave me. ❤❤❤

France had an eye infection and could not see clearly out of one eye, so she concentrated to avoid falling. Everything will be better for the final. As for the dress, she stayed true to herself. She wears a dress that represents her and in which she feels strong and beautiful. Obviously, not everyone likes it, but that's okay. Personally, I'm fed up with gold and silver, sequins, the transparency of the dress and all the rest. It's nice to have a change and at least she's remembered and stands out from the other girls.
