I actually like when the retro games still have old resolution formats. I mean I'm still using a 5:4 monitor cause it still works fine and when games of such category are restricted to an only widescreen option it kinda breaks the immersion.
Shame #Drive Rally wasn't included, unless it's for the part two. It felt like all the hype and excitement about that game disappeared as soon as it released.
This video was uploaded (albeit unlisted) on Tuesday, so I just missed the release! But certainly would be happy to take a look at it in part 2, I've played the demo a week or two ago and did enjoy it, and #Drive is a game I always keep installed on my phone
Yeah, but see, ALL "retro" games have one very big problem: they CAN be good, but they're not really as good as what we actually played back then. For example, Old School Rally looks good, but frankly, I just tried to compare with Colin McRae Rally 2.0 on PS1 (with Duckstation emulation), and well, Colin was way better, especially in the physics department. As for Parking Garage, it's unique enough, but well... Nothing really special or attractive. Somebody mentions boomer shooters in the comments: it's the same. Although some of them are great (CULTIC), the majority is way inferior to what we had back then.
Here's hoping this becomes a sub-genre like boomer shooters

It's getting good reviews though.

I have a question, would you make a film about the "Hard Truck" series of games?
Yeah that would be interesting to look at! A little retrospective of SCS games
I'm sure you answered this before but how do you hook your PC up to your CRT? I desperately want to do this also.
One of those simple HDMI to AV converters. They don't give you the best quality but it's the most readily available option
@@missingpixel thank you for answering
its not new, but try out ballisticng, its basically a new version of the old wipeout games
