It's such a shame that the HD update of daytona USA hasnt been given a proper port to modern platforms. Likewise, I'm a little irritated that we cant get "Sega Racing Classic" as standalone purchases. I don't know what sega could possibly have to lose by offering these (along with the other HD AM2 games they released back on 360/ps3) Oh yeah and good vid! I appreciate the earnest and concise way you put all this together.
Yep, some of the game are the classics.. other Sega arcade games were great but half of them had only Saturn console releases.. they were dynamite deka series, spikeout series, zombie revenge and slashout..
Insert "But what about Initial D???" comment here. In all seriousness, what your thoughts on both the Initial D games AND R-Tuned? The latter has that bombastic 2000s tuner flare I just live for, though I feel its actual gameplay sort of lacks depth. And the former is Initial D Arcade Stage, which is sort of the opposite end and at this point, probably Sega's main arcade racer series at this point with an anime license over it.
Everything shown in the video but Sega Race TV I played on the actual arcades! With the exception of Sega Rally 2, all other arcades I played at a place called Arcade Club. Awesome place. You pay entry and you get free play on the largest Sega arcade collection in Europe (if I recall correctly)
Hi Dear and thank you for this lovely video! It would have been interesting to know which emulator or console you used for each game and how you connected them to tv in 15khz mode (which cable, converter, 480i or 240p, etc) . Thank you
Olá os emuladores a maioria dos jogos estão sega model 2 e 3 e Naomi 2 mais tem jogos interessantes tbm não teknoparrot, atomware espero que ajude abraços
Thank you for the answer, I suppose you ment Atomiswave, I don't see a game presented in this video running on this hardware. Regarding, Sega race TV, it's originally running on a Lindbergh yellow, that's why I spoke about Teknoparrot.
I used one of those cheap HDMI To AV converters. It's not ideal, I really would like something with RGB SCART, but shockingly, I don't think such a product exists. Or, even if someone was able to make an app that streams 640x480 video to an original Xbox via ethernet (from your pc) would be cool, don't think anything like that exists either Anyway, Outrun 2 was ran on the OG Xbox. Other emulators included Supermodel for Model 3, TeknoParrot for Sega Race TV, and I think I used MAME for Naomi. Crazy Taxi was the PC Port. I wanted to use a Dreamcast for CT and 18 Wheeler, but the unit I bought had a faulty PSU (go figure). Let me know if I missed anything from the list
Jeez, who pissed in your cornflakes? I meant to say flat screen not flat panel, English isn't my first language so I do sometimes mess up what I say. And if you're referring to Outrun Online Arcade about the bloom, it's literally one of the notable changes from the original arcade and console releases. Mr Thunderwing has made like 3 or 4 videos dedicated to graphical changes to Online Arcade
Man I wish race tv would come to the states, I love to play it! My least favorite is R Tuned, the cars and customization was awesome, but the handling was terrible!!
I actually don't mind R-Tuned's simpler handling model, but it's definitely carried by its presentation as one would be disappointed if they were expecting Scud Race or Initial D Arcade Stage levels of depth.
2:01 wow Thai people is getting ripped off. The arcade place there don't want to spend real money on a real Sega Lindbergh for Outrun 2 SP instead what they do is use a significantly cheaper PS2 console ( I see ps2 button on the screen ) and add coin slot and arcade steering wheel cabinet to make it looks like it running on a Sega Lindbergh. They did the same for Mario Kart Arcade by using the Wii console instead ruclips.net/video/segwZ78l758/видео.htmlfeature=shared - that's doesn't looks like Sega Lindbergh powered Outrun 2 SP SDX isn't it? That's was 2011 thing might change now as I start seeing more arcade hardware being added in an arcade place near where I used to live
That's pretty genius to be fair. It would have cost them very little to make a cabinet like that. Although from the video, it looks like the steering is a digital input? Like a big d pad, which isn't ideal for sure
Outrun 2 being a game from your childhood makes me feel real old 😅
Outrun 2 was great. Played it recently in a retro arcade with four cabinets. Still great.

Daytona USA 2 on Manual/Hardest is one of the most satisfactory arcade racing games ever. Hands down to SEGA, they knew how to do things :)
My childhood memory feels like it happened just yesterday!

Life is always better with a splash of Sega
i didn't know SEGA race TV... will try it as soon as possible :) thanks
Outrunners is a over looked Sega game. It was great when you found a 8 player sit down that had the music turn up all full blast.
Love the new video. I remeber my uncle had that Tv when i was a kid
I really love Sega Arcade Racing Games!!!
So many cool memories in the arcades :)
Great video! If there’s one thing you can count on SEGA for, it’s quality racing games. (We don’t talk about Full Auto 2)
Full auto 2 is by pseudo interactive, a developer. Sega only published it. And just for the record, FA2 kicked ass.
Hey mate, great video! Keep the nice work :)
Manx TT superbike
Great video, my friend!
For future reference, Ruf is not an abbreviation, it's not spelled R U F.
Also, it's pronounced "Roof"
dude Ferrari f355 challenge
It's too sim'y for him
"Flat Panel CRT" no panel in there mate
I meant to say flat screen, oops
@@missingpixel apology accepted
All these game: 1) are you emulating them or real hardware
2) what platform are they from originally arcade or console versions
I like your cozy narration style :) Are u planning anymore vids about Team6 games?
Hopefully! Might try to get one out next week, though no promises
Thank you for your video!
I add Indy 500

you should try playing old disney and pixar games like the cars movie game, ratatouille game etc i think it would be fun
Awesome
very cool video !
have you played any of those in a real arcade cabinet ?
i would love to try that "Ridge Racer Full Scale" someday hahahah

Can Sega Race tv be played in widescreen?
Not from my brief bit of research. The game is hard coded to be in 4:3
how did Sega manage to be so good...
what ?! You Polish?
I am indeed!

The screen on a CRT, is not called a "panel", you could not sound thicker with a lot of your wording
How did you play scud race?
Supermodel emulator!
