I think Mai zimmy on RUclips has some great twin ideas for a registry and good things to have. I personally as an ex Peds nurse would do the hatch changing table so you can monitor their weights when they come home. Praying still for them to get growing and you all to be healthy!
The Owlet is a must have! I have used it with all my kids (currently using it now with my 3 month old) and would never be able to sleep otherwise. I worry so much when my kids are sleeping that they are ok. Could be a bit of postpartum anxiety which is very normal for mothers. But I would highly recommend it. Especially if your little babies will be coming early and will be in the NICU. ❤️
Pro tip from a twin nanny: make sure whatever side by side baby stroller you go with fits through a standard doorway. Not all of them do and it is a pain in the butt to have to turn it sideways and drag it through the door. Also, I recommend a babymoov for food prep whether you opt for baby led weaning or traditional food. Finally, I SWEAR by the basic ikea highchairs.
I had growth issue with my 4th and delivered her at 35wks. You’d never know now she’s 6! I’m sure the babies will be fine and just perfect 🤩 Also a hospital bag for you and babies video! I love those videos lol.
I think you are going to want two swings my sons loved them they didn't have the ones out now but what a blessing they were to use as young parent . Our baby just turned 43.

It’s probably a little bit different with twins, but something I learned the first time around is that there are so many newborn products that convince you that you need them, when in reality the newborn stage goes by so quickly that you end up being like, “I don’t need any of this.” 😂😂 As long as you have a good diaper changing area on both levels of your house, you’re set 👌🏻. Yep I was thinking the same thing.. there’s a couple of products on here which I got and either used once, or baby didn’t like it or i.e. bouncer.. preferred the swing style. Also Heather, just be careful with the jolly jumpers off the doors, studies show they aren’t good for the leg and Achilles development if used too early. We decided to not purchase one because of that.
Have you considered an aromasnooze? So great for everything. A soft red light to promote sleep, but also acts as a light so you can see in the middle of the night. White noise machine that also plays lullabies and also a humidifier. Just a suggestion. 😊
Just wanted to say that on the changing pad with a scale (while I have no experience with either of them, so can’t really comment) I did want to say that with breastfeeding, being able to weigh the baby before and after a meal gives you an idea of how much the baby actually took in. With my first born, we had so many breastfeeding issues (he had a lip tie and a tongue tie we didn’t discover until later) I was at the lactation consultant about twice a week and she would always weigh the baby before and after a meal. At that moment I would have loved to have had a baby scale at home to give me peace of mind my son was feeding enough. Otherwise it’s hard to know how much the baby actually took in. I’m also pregnant with twin (I’m 16 weeks) and have found you so enjoyable and relatable. Praying for your babies and for you and your husband to remain strong.
Great list! Excited for you! Heads up - do a little research on the bumbo seat. Apparently it can impair their gross motor development when compared to just spending an equivalent amount of time on the floor. Just figured you'd want to look into it - I certainly was surprised!
Keep positive and think good thoughts. Try not to stress too much because it's not good for you or the babies. I know you have a lot going on but a positive outlook is key to getting through it. Take it minute by minute if you have to. Sending good wishes and prayers to you. Your babies will be fine and you will be wonderful parents.
Highly recommend trying to see if there's a baby wearing group in your area. We have one here and they let you rent carriers out before committing to buying one. I've had a few that definitely didn't work for my body type. Sometimes you run into one type working well for you and not great for your partner. Also look into tandem wearing since you will have twins.
From a fellow twin momma, Have you looked at the weight limit per seat on the uppa baby?? I originally wanted this stroller as well but it is built for one large/older child and one small baby. The second seat is not able to go past 35 lbs without it being considered a tipping hazard. It relies on the heavy child to balance the weight. Once we saw this in our research we changed our minds and went for the baby jogger city select which is meant for two babies/children of the same size. Up to 45 lbs each
The bugaboo donkey is only a few inches wider than the vista surprisingly! I use it in mono mode and it is actually more narrow. I think you will be happier with a donkey or even the city select lux. There isn’t a weight restriction on the second seat. It will last for longevity. Where as the vista only has a “rumble” seat as the second seat and maxes out at 30lbs!
If you want to carry your twins at the same time. I used the MiniMonkey twin carrier with our twins and then when they outgrew that we used the Twingo carrier. Both Amazing products!!!
Just a suggestion but I wouldn't get 3 different strollers. Ur not going to use them all. They will just sit there lol believe me I got 3 different ones two of them just sat there taking up space puls it's a big waste of money. I would just go for the Bugaboo double stroller instead of the uppababy Vista. If u are wanting them to be able to be side by side when they're older. If u think of the money u will be spending on the two different kinds of strollers. Its would be the same as the Bugaboo plus I've seen a lot of moms reviews on the uppababy Vista for twins over the Bugaboo double A lot of people say they hate the uppababy vista as a double and everyone I have known or seen online say the Bugaboo one Is a amazing. Just a suggestion hun and congratulations also the jogger strollers suck lol the front wheel wobbles when ur running or walking fast. Iam not sure about the ones that are like the picture u have show us but they are alot of money too like u said in the video so might be alot better. Have u just thought about going with the jogger as your big stroller and the zoe one was the car
I went to a zoom baby shower. We all sent the gifts to mom to be and she had them opened already and gave us a scan of all gifts on a table. We all had our own beverage and we played two games. It was fun!
We did this too. For games people won a gift card rather than what you would traditionally win in person. I had a cake also. You could send some stuff out beforehand too if that's important to you. It's more fun than you think it would be.
we loved the vista for 1 baby but for two it’s a bit inconvenient! the weight restrictions are different for both seats so one goes to 50lbs and one goes only to 35lbs. we ended up needing to get a whole new stroller when we had baby #2!
I feel like with your situation (breastfeeding 2 potentially growth-restricted babies), it would definitely be best to invest in a Hatch Grow changing pad! That way you can weigh them before and after each feeding to see how much they ate. (The alternative to that would be exclusively pumping which I’ve heard is very tough and time consuming.)
I can recommend not to buy that model of Babybjörn carrier. The mini model is for newborns and it is very heavy to carry the children when they are over six months old. I got very sore back from it, just a tip ☺️
Ikea high chair hands down! And check out Moms on Call. Books and schedules written by pediatric nurses in Atlanta who BOTH have a set of twins. I had my babies sleeping from 7p-7a by 8/9 weeks using their schedules! Mama and daddy need sleep too and I can't recommend their books enough! and the Dohm is AMAZING! We have one in each kids room and in our room too! Love it!

I am a grandma of twin girls born at 29 weeks, coming out of nicu ....baby breeze has bad reviews and was recalled because you can’t be sure it’s really measuring out the right amount of formula plus premie baby formula that may be required along with breast milk for weight gain does not work in a breeza, get both breast feeding pillows, the twin z pillow is awesome to sit babies in for a variety of things, twin halo bassinet is our favorite item and babies are still in it at 5 months in master bedroom.... floor toy bars are really important starting at 2 months...the one with the piano they can kick is the best by far, our babies were born at 3 pounds each and wore premie diapers and newborn diapers for a really long time...make sure you have lots of premie and newborn clothes on hand if they are born smaller....sorry, I could go on and on, you are doing amazing on your journey stay positive
My grandkids had the ikea cheap chairs and they were easy to clean. The ones we got didn’t fold but were great. On the jolly jumper I wouldn’t get two. Twins don’t always want to be doing the same thing and it takes up a lot of room. With our twins we got one portable swing and another chair. Trued not to get 2 things exactly alike. All this stuff takes up so much room and they use for such a short time. But on Sofia you will need two. This toy while pricy somehow babies love it. I worked at toysrus and men would always say why does our baby need a dog toy but they do, lol
Strongly recommend AGAINST the baby bjorn carriers. These carriers don't have the waist strap that many other carriers have, which results in absolute murder on both your back/shoulders and on your abdomen, as the weight of the baby pushes HARD into your belly. That waist strap on alternative carriers makes all the difference. Your body will thank you for switching.
Love watching these! I follow a mom of 10 on IG and she just had her 2nd set of twins. She recommended the Weego Twin carrier to twins moms! Thought I’d pass it on! Personally I love the K’tan, moby, and ergo. Oh and I’ve never had twins but have, to my husbands dismay, ownEd FOUR strollers at once and only recently started parting with them! Single BOB, double BOB, single umbrella, and double McClaren. They all have different uses and I used them all! #strollercollector #babycarriercollector 🤣

We LOVE the owlet!! We also used the snoo and still loved having the monitor and it was a must have once the baby was in the crib :)

At 23 weeks in the 1st percentile the baby probably weighs 10 oz or less. Thats not the same as a 5 pound 35 weaker.
