The lady from Twiniversity said something that I literally want to put on our front door when the babies are born. "There are no visitors, there are only helpers." If people are going to come they need to realize they will not be waited on and they will be asked to help with something.
First time mom with identical twin girls. I had a 7 week inpatient stay and they are 8 weeks old today and still in the NICU and I've been dying for them to come home...but I am also terrified of my own ability to care for them. So, here I am gobbling up information and ideas. And something that has been ringing in my head since finding out at 20 weeks I was having mono mono twins has been "Is this really my life?" and "WHO AM I?!" I don't know yet. And it's going to take time to figure that out. But I feel better knowing that identity crisis is a shared experience.
Thank you for making this video! I am definitely finding a lack of community or content for moms of twins. I am expecting twin girls in two and a half months. I also have 4 children already aged 9-3. Life is going to be crazy! My husband and I never thought we would have 6 kids :) I am unfortunately finding that I won't have much help when they are born as my husband won't be able to take very much time off. I'm also worried about exposure to germs since our world has blown up with covid as far as visitors are concerned.
I had my twins on the 11th of this month, so glad to see it's not just me who thinks there needs to be more information from real people on twin pregnancy! I watched your nursery tour probably 100 times during my pregnancy because I wanted to see a real person who had twins talk about their experience rather then a midwife who didnt have multiples herself
Hi new Twin Mama, congrats on your little ones. So glad you found my content, I hope I can provide you with plenty of useful information as your babies grow 💗💗
Loving all of this twin content. Wish this video was out before I had my girls, very helpful! The early days with newborn twins nearly killed both my husband and I, we're sworn off babies lol I legit don't know how women do it with older children around!
I know this is an older video but I'm 24wks with twins and I still have no idea what I am doing. I have a bedroom that is the nursery but it's too small for even one child. I'm at a loss.
Love this video, SO helpful!! Just found out we’re having twin boys (also have a 2yo daughter) so feeling all the overwhelm you’d imagine. Very few mamas I’ve found address having multiples while having older child(ren) already so I have a feeling I’m going to spend the next few days diving super deep into everything you’ve made on this topic :) Please make/link more of these! Can’t tell you how much it helps xoxo
I totally agree! We're expecting twins in June and have a 2 year old daughter and a big dog. I am so tired of everything I've read assuming the twins are your first children.
Yea I love these videos. Our twin boys are due in September and this has helped so much. I’ve been documenting my journey because I can’t wait to look back and reflect like this!!
I have 5 month old twins. Totally agree with all of your points, especially the laundry one! I had to chill out about my laundry pile as both my babies had acid reflux. 🤪
This could not have come at a better time since I just took our 1 year old twins to their doctors appointment. You are an amazing momma and just make it seem so doable with twins and having other kids-we also have. 4 year old daughter. It’s all about teamwork....as I went to this appointment alone with shots and everything else. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing. I miss the fold BTW!!!
Thankful for you sharing your perspective. Working towards building a family and I am interested in content that helps me empathize with mothers and their experience. Hopefully it can give me ideas to be more supportive and also where I can best put my efforts. Thanks.
Not expecting twins, but we are in a multi level, larger home now. So this video was still very helpful! Do you have any videos or blog posts about the transition from one child to two? We're currently trying for baby #2.
I tried the link in the description but it doesn't work (tandem breastfeeding solo). And thank you so much for making this video. I'm expecting twins in November.
Congrats to you! Here's a link to my blog post about tandem breastfeeding, you can reach the video there as well 😊 nestingstory.ca/how-to-tandem-breastfeed-twins/

Feel the same 5 years later too. Would love to chat with you. Only twin mums understand other twin mums!!!

How long were you able to breast feed the twins?
