@@alliedelong1011 hood but my teacher actually got deployed to the military like 3 weeks into school we got a replacement after a month but the class was good and I still have it the year isn’t over yet. It’s really interesting.

Assuming you studied this at university, was it a hard course? I never did any sciences for year 11 or 12 so I’m quite nervous but I am interested in this course

What books would I need to get started? I'm interested in the criminal side.
Anyone know any specific courses that can relate to forensics? I've searched up forensic toxicology and that has interested me but I'm wondering if maybe there is anymore? Can anyone please give me some suggestions Thank you.

I'm trying to go into Forensic Toxicology and my college advisor suggest I get a major in Biology and minor in Criminology for my bachelor's.

can someone please tell me if forensic science is a bachelor's degree major??? I'm really struggling figuring this out.
I'm a high schooler and I'm interested in forensic science but I can't find much information
I think you have to get a bachelor degree in bio or chemistry first but not completely sure
you can do bachelors in any science stream.. like zoo botany chemistry etc. Any of the science backgroundu can do but in msc. You should Opt. Forensic..Thats all
At some colleges there is a forensic science/studies major, but not many. A lot more schools will have the option of forensics being a minor, so you could major in psychology and minor in forensics, or major in criminology and minor in forensics-- this particular option is the route I am taking.
depends on the school! Im a forensic science major at VCU, but there aren't a whole lot of colleges that offer it as a full major.

I have a current course which doesn't have anything to do with this course. I just choose my current course since I like it but not as I like this course. Gosh how I wanted to be in a crime scene.

If I major in biochemistry will I be able to do most of these jobs or will I need another degree as well?
it seems like regardless of the science degree you have to get certified in forensic science afterwards. I guess im going with a bachelors in biology
Biochemistry might be one of the best majors for forensic science. Yes, you can definitely do Forensic science with a bachelors in nearly any science, but you may also need higher education or a certificate depending on your country or job
I too have a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and I'm intending to continue Master in Forensic Science.
Do people who go into forensics need that background in biology/chemistry as an undergrad degree? I got mine in sociology and only now considering that I might want to go into forensics. Feel like I'd be at a huge disadvantage/ not even accepted to a masters program 😔
Not necessarily! There are a lot of careers in forensics that arent directly biology or chemistry related. I'm getting my bachelor's degree in forensic science with a concentration in physical evidence!
I'm taking up forensic science as an undergrad because my eventual goal is a doctorate in forensic anthropology :> you 100% could go into a specialization where your sociology undergrad and forensic science overlap
