I've got a 60v 2,300 to the wheel, but because it has no torque arms it's ended up spitting 3 wheels off so far.
My bike is a second hand Giant Stance with full suspension.
The only bikes I've come across that were faster than it are Stealth Bombers and Surons.
    E-bikes are great fun.

what controller are you running mate? is it square wave as it sounds pretty noisy.

    • @motomachinezuk8786

I thought it was a sinwave but will double check asap. I thought it was just a larger motored hub

Iv two questions your tyre is 29” and you’ve fitted a 27.5” is this correct? Secondly your bike has 9 gears and you’ve fitted 7. Can you confirm please

So far bike frame is fine and handling the extra torque fine.
No problems to report yet. I'm happy with the bike to be honest
      Thanks

@@motomachinezuk8786 Thanks for the reply, so one more question is that, did you purchase the full kit including motor & the battery as a set from vaunder company? As I seen the 3KW full kit on there with everything included

@ahsaniftikhar142 yes I purchased the complete kit from vandervault. Everything needed to come with kit. No problem hope this helps 👍

Does the motor feel a lot heavier than the 1500w hubs on your old bikes ? if its similar to a stealth bomber motor the weight difference is quite noticeably, I wonder how different your motor is and what the current limit on the controller is. It looks like its got quite a kick similar to the bbshd. I wonder if I would like yours more than mine. Something like my old blue mountain bike suits me well in terms of riding position and comfort and shock absorbance but its great to have more power and the triangle battery. These hubs are very tough reliable and going into the fields doesn't bother them as much as with a chain drive which gets jammed up and stuff.

    • @motomachinezuk8786
      @motomachinezuk8786  Год назад

It feels slightly heavier but to me only 1kg maybe but that is alot really. I've sold my bikes now but going to build another soon so I can compare the weights. You want to know current not Amps ? I shall look when closer to bike.
It's all about finding that happy medium comfortable bike and position. I like a hub as you can tell, lazy riding but I don't do it for exercise and way less maintenance compared to mid drive.

@@motomachinezuk8786 current is measured in amps, on mine its limited to 45 amps, even with expensive controller so the max possible power is 83 (volts ) times 45 which is about 3750 watts, but I have no speed readout or power info on the display due to some fault ( sensor wire missing in the motor ? ). The bike works fine despite that though and its basically silent whereas yours is somehow really loud ! probably its due to the controller because my blue bike used to make a slight cranking sound like that with the stock controller ( square wave vs sine wave as someone said in the comments ) . The stealth bombers controller can handle 150 amps at 72v but my battery caps out around 50 amps, giving around 4200w max, for whatever reason it feels like accelerates stronger than the 72 MTB though, but top speed is similar.
I still think you'd appreciate if you had a bike very similar to my mid drive with the bbshd, its actually interesting to ride off road on dry trails in summer, with narrow 1.5inch tyres, and its got V Brakes not hydraulic, plus with the BBSHD it controls quite differently, but its also by far the best bike for long exploring trips on the road.

@ash0787 I've sorted my fault now it was wrong magnet settings for pas.
My controller says 60amp but doesn't mention sinwave so I assume square wave.
The watts actually say 3500 peak. 3000 continues. But calculations say closer to 4000w. 66v fully charged if I remember right. Could be wheel size difference you you're bikes maybe?
