Completely agree. I’m hoping one of the big gamers by the rights. The 7310 in the video is built a lot like a Pro Model Husqvarna, I’d love to see them buy the name.
I just picked up a low hour PS-7900 and it’s a beast of a saw. I have Stihl and now Dolmar, for whatever reason I tend to gravitate towards the German saws. Need to add a few more Dollies to my arsenal before they’re gone!
100% Dolmar has been around longer than any Saw company today for a reason. I absolutely hate that they have been reduced to this. I have many models and have always been such great machines.
@@eurokid83 i have got 7910 and would like som older Dolmars, but there is not much of then in my area. I too want to Stock some parts, but i heard that Makita should support Dolmar saws for next 10 years with parts
@@Mopo151 yes parts should be available for several years at least. The older Dolmar saws are definitely hard to come by, also parts for the older saws are hard to come by. Gotta get what you can get, when you can get it.
@@andybecker2693 I own one. The spelling is irrelevant, you all need to find humor in your life, or just wander around half sharpened, does not matter.....🤣
Thanks man. It really wasn’t difficult tbh. I seriously do not like the intake boot setup on these modern saws😆 they just kinda float around in there..
@@IndianaDoug lol I love them, not a fan of the old blocks. Just have to get used to them. Anyway looks and sounds good now, how do you like otherwise?
@@Andyshine77 the older iron just seems so much easier to work on, like my PS-9010😆 But yes! It’s all worked out, except I have the throttle linkage rigged. I lost that little plastic tube when I disassembled it. I used brake line, it actually works well.
Agreed, displacement is larger, 73cc vs 79cc. Honestly the 64cc through 79cc saws all share the same bottom end and weight, you might as well buy the larger saw.
Nicely done Mr. Doug. I like your format. My compliments to you.
Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback👍🏻
Very nice sir. Saw rips good!
Makes me sad the last Dolmar will roll out of the factory in March next year 😔

NICE TO SEE YOU GOT IT RUNNING GOOD
Very nice saw!!!
Holy snappin, I need to take sharpening lessons from you!
Yeah right😆 you’re the saw wizard!
Should try 5000p great 50cc saw! Love dolmars

Hurry up, they stopped making them.
@@Mopo151 I’ve got four so far. I’ll snag up a few more before too long. Got a good stash of parts as well.

Good work, Doug!!!
Nice job getting her back in the game!!!
Yes sir! I was sweating it for a bit...thinking seals, etc😆
That Dullbar isn't half bad!🧡🔥👊🏼👍🏻
I’m not hearting your comment for calling it a Dullbar...only a “like” for you buddy🤣
@@IndianaDoug I own a Sax Dullbar, testing your humor 😆😂🤣🧡👊🏼

Glad you got her running! Next time just pull the cylinder off instead of messing with all that, super easy.

Me likely!!!
I love my 2172 , my echo 7310 and now you've made me wanna cheat on them with this ....., maybe I can convince them all to share me
Both good saws though👍🏻 I’d say my 73 and 79 are my go-to’s after all the ones I’ve owned.
Someone said the 7910 will overshadow the 7310 ' Can you tell me what that means ?

Do you know anything about a 181se and a 281xp ' Saw's by Husqvarna ?
@@keithclark486 yes, great old saws. All parts still available for those models. 181se was actually made for UK military at one point.
Did you get the new carb kit in?
Yessir👍🏻
I dont have a dolmar.....yet
I’m really sorry to hear that, my sympathy goes out to you and yours😆 everyone I’ve owned have been great! Even the older Sachs era models.
💪🏻😎
The guy porting ur saws is he in Indiana an does he do I'm a broke mfr port jobs
He’s from Michigan not too far away
That timber looks soft and punky. Put the saw threw some wood
Might have been, that was quite awhile ago. Got plenty of other videos on this saw cutting on hard maple with a 32” bar.
Dolmar the best!!!!
I agree 100% Best saws I’ve owned👍🏻
I have to agree I've ran them all and if I had to choice just one saw brand I'd I pick the makita/dolmar saw over the compition every time

Can always count on the Germans to complicate things.
🤣
Is it good for milling?
You could yes, I prefer 90cc or above though
