    $200 with title, you can't go wrong, you rolled the dice that this guy actually had a title, but it's a nice looking truck. Even parting it out it's worth more than $200, but don't go too crazy on custom interior, in my opinion. It's a 1990 Ford Ranger V6. One of those "Found On Roadside Dead Driver Returned On Foot" trucks... Lots of good things can be said about Ford... I just.... Can't think of any...

      Yeah, I'm with you there. I'm actually a chevy guy myself, but for the price, what the hell! I didn't give the guy any money until he got the title, then we met up and exchanged title for the $200. About to post up another one. Stay tuned. Good hearing from ya!

      @@thedragon2299 Well played. $200 even for a beater, you can't go wrong. What is a starter cost? $40 + core and a hours time to install? Alright. That's nothing. Being a 4x4 where I live, it's worth anywhere from $1000- $1400, running. It's a good deal. I would have done it too. You can pressure wash those carpets, that is what I would do. I don't need brand new or perfect. I only need things that work, and do what they are suppose to do.

      @@thedragon2299 I had a '91 S-10. I loved it. great little truck. I have had many bad experiences with Fords.Back in the 90's I had a foxbody mustang, I spent months trying to figure out what was wrong. I was a kid, I didn't know much about cars then... The "Brainbox" went out. The WHAT? Lucky for me it was only a $20 part, and that was the problem... I STILL hate computers.

      @@skarekr0w3 I can relate to that. I have had several fords in my day, including work trucks when I was a construction foreman, some good some bad. I also am supposed to pick up that 1990 Chevy S10 Durango 4.3 V6 from that lady with the horse farm that I sometimes help. It's not running and definitely needs fuel pump, and been sitting 7-8 years. That's a $250 deal, just haven't had time or a way to get it. I have a video on it back in the fall.

    • @skarekr0w3

      @@thedragon2299 Sitting 8 years is better than sitting for 20 years. It's a good deal. Hire a small tow operator owner. Don't go through the big guys. Depending on where it is, I would probably have charged you $50, no big deal. You get better deals from the small tow companies,, because the big guys don't want them there.

      The guy was going to call the scrapyard to come get it, they offered him $250, so I told him I would take it for that and put it to good use. Well he owed me $50 so I gave him $200 and been driving it every day for 4 years now. The gas gauge is broke, so it was out of gas and he burnt up the starter and battery trying to start it. So I put 5 gallons of gas, a new starter and battery and that's it, been driving ever since. It still passes state inspection ever year, we don't have emissions testing here. Just drove it to my shop to pick up the motorcycle for a ride. Thanks for watching 🐲

      @@thedragon2299Why do you not trust it for distance driving? Is it the age, mileage, or simply because you have not had a chance to really go over it?

    • @thedragon2299
      @thedragon2299  10 месяцев назад +1

      @BaptistJoshua Like most 2.9 v6 it ticks alot, (that's why I got it for $200) it seems to be fine for 10-15 miles easy driving, but when I go about 45 miles or more, it seems to really starts to tick alot more and it definitely doesn't like pulling mountain roads either, again ticks alot and gets warm fast. There are many worn-out parts on the truck that need attention, so just not sure it's worth rebuilding the motor, because all the axles need work, especially the auto locking hubs, in 4wd it has a click sound that I'm not sure where it's coming from, the list goes on, so just not sure it's smart to put thousands into it when I could just get a newer truck in better shape. So, for the time being, I just keep oil changed often, add marvel mystery oil to engine oil and fuel, and take it easy on her. She has been getting me to and from work almost every day for going on 4 years now, has never broke down, so I may just run her like that till she dies.

      @BaptistJoshua yeah, I was just referring to this truck specifically not all Rangers. These are known to be good long lasting trucks. I would think you could find something decent for $1500. Since you are going to be towing with it, just make sure the transmission feels and shifts good, no slipping and no hard shifting. Good luck , I'm sure you will find something.
