It looks like you may have a leak coming from the rear differential. It looked like the lower portion of the differential was damp. Truck looks like a winner though.

No way, this is the exact year, trim, model, and even color that I have! Mine needs a new engine after 400k miles, but its was amazing, and sure to be amazing in the future

When my 2wd 1994 ranger splash sportstruck was brand new 30 years ago it would lift the inside rear tire off the ground (2wd splashes have VERY STIFF suspension and they ZING around corners thus why it's a sportstruck) when I was cornering very hard. It has the open differential axle so the tire would spin when lifted. So if your 1990 has a front sway bar you can swap 2wd splash sway bars in there and also the splash rear sway bar bolts in there AND IT WILL WAKE UP THE SUSPENSION. It won't ride stiffer. But will corner waaaay flatter. It. Will be More fun to drive. The fuel sending unit in the gas tank (fuel gage not working)failing is a common proplem on rangers. I've replaced mine a couple times. Just loosen the bumper bolts and line it up strait and tighten the bolts. That should fix that. The 1990 explorer grill direct swaps on there and looks waaay better.

Unscrew the hex nut on the back of the RABS valve, remove the spring, replace the nut. Google it if you need further detail.

I’ve been daily driving a 1989 ranger manual 4x4 for 12 years now I bought for $300 bucks and just about every couple months I’ve gotta fix something and it’s been that way since I got it I’ve replaced almost everything on the truck besides rear leaf springs and master cylinder but it’s pretty cheap lol

I have a 1993 that all of a sudden stopped on me. No fire. Replaced coil packs and didn’t fix it. 2.3. What do I need to look at next. Module? Don’t know how to diagnose it.

Yeah I actually made a whole video of the process fixing it up and never posted it. A week or two after I finished it and gave it to dad the front seal on the trans blew. Every shop I talked to told me it would take a $3000 full rebuild to fix. I got really pissed and sold the truck and have tried not to think about it since! Like I said, they’re like all like hands or cards.
