@@marvelknights8342 I know he's referencing the scene from Godzilla vs. Mothra (1964) but what I'm saying is that this scene in monarch: legacy of monsters is a clear nod to that same moment from GVM (1964), where Godzilla wakes up in the desert
@ShinBurningGodzilla i'm saying this scene in monarch: legacy of monsters is actually a reference, especially considering godzilla in 2023 (referring to monarch: legacy of monsters) doesn't resemble godzilla from 1962-1964
Godzilla rising from the ground in this scene is a clear reference to when he did the same thing in the Showa era Godzilla vs Mothra film. Also, by the look of Godzilla's dorsal plates, it looks like this takes place after his fight with MUTO prime.
God I love his fkn roar, ever since i was a kid, still have his action figures from 1989,man I couldn't wait til a good movie came out of godzilla, cuz the old ones were crazy bad and funny in some cases
Logically speaking, there probably shouldn't be any nerves in Godzilla's dorsal fins but it's kinda funny to imagine that being hit with a helicopter blade is something similar to hitting an elbow/toe on a piece of furniture and that's why he roared.
I agree 100!!! Even a series was more concerned with maintaining consistency in godzilla's personality than adam wingard's films. At the beginning of the monsterverse, he seemed to be a noble old warrior, but in wingard's movies he's just a stupid lizard who attacks anything that breathes
After seeing Goji Centers' video on Godzilla's hypothetical alpha call, his normal roar should be enough to literally kill you. It will always bother me how the human characters are perfectly fine whenever Godzilla roars near them without absolutely destroying their eardrums
150db damages the eardrums, while 185db can damage your organs which can result in death. So yeah, I think Godzilla would kill an entire city by just singing.
I mean he should also have sunk through the ground when he went thermo in KOTM, the carrier in GvK should have broken much earlier, the Golden Gate Bridge...

Looking at Godzilla's eyes is like gazing into one of the many microcosmic eyes of nature itself. Nature always remembers those who righteously dotted upon it in the past.

Godzilla is the ultimate antihero. He could have took one look at them and turned their birth certificates into death certificates yet he didn’t because he’s not the bad guy. Just a big ass dude who wants to be left alone lol. Freaking Godzilla because he’s not the bad guy he’s the savior that we need but don’t deserve him lol. I also have been enjoying Monarch Legacy Of Monsters show! Can’t wait for next week’s episode!
You should watch Godzilla Minus One for a significantly different perspective.
@@jjmcwill2007 I think I will do just that!
Might have been thinking,.. them young ones are tasty and won't get stuck in my teeth.
Legendary's Godzilla pretty firmly wants to *protect* humans. You could accurately subtitle every time he confronts an attacking titan with "MY PETS!"
He's just not *nice* . "Not a tame lion."
And humans are so very small.
The guttural sound at the end of Zilla's roar always sends chills through my body, holy shit!
The original classic roar has a similar end part but they pitched and slowed it down for the MonsterVerse Godzilla.
Classic Roar ---> ruclips.net/video/aZHl_D5Q9ME/видео.html
@@S1N1CAL yeah it's noticiable, but honestly I prefer the MonsterVerse's one more.
@@xtuffman Me too
So metal, haha.
Not Zilla; that's the crappy 1998 version. This is Godzilla.
2:10 I could watch Godzilla lumber away into the horizon with the booming echo of his footsteps for hours, the animation and cinematography are so good in this scene
Me too, I get so excited and just love him, he definitely rocks my world :D
The drum beat when he’s emerging from the ground is just 👌🏽
About time he showed up! I've been waiting for a full appearence of his since the trailer dropped! And now we're finally here! Long live the King! 👑🦖
He did showup in the G-Day flashback but yeah this was the first time he showed up physically. I really hope we see a few more scenes with him.

Haven’t seen the show yet don’t have an Apple TV subscription but I’ve been thinking about getting a month to watch this show. Is it good? What episode was this that he actually shows up?
The king has risen 👑
He's like "Bruh I can't get sleep for shit without y'all buggin the piss outta me! DAMNIT ALL!!!"
The tail whip at the end, the wind would’ve sent the humans flying 🤣
They're lucky it doesn't hit them.
This such a nice homage to Mothra vs Godzilla. Near perfection, now all it needs is Godzilla's theme.
That roar always sends chills down my spine❤❤❤
1:27 Godzilla was looking like exactly a Lizard
Indeed a lizard right there.
Like a big monitor lizard
Because he’s a lizard a colossal nuclear mutated lizard.
@@darkseid6089 I know , but he doesn't usually look like one .. But in that Moment He looked like
Чего ты взял что он ящериц его лицо такиже 2014 вот это лицом.
This is the SICKEST THING I’ve ever seen with how they made Godzilla rise from the mountains like that!!!! It’s the original 350ft version from 2014 but STILL!!!!
they dont capture it like that in the new movies
The only reason why I got the annual subscription of Apple 🍏 tv+. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Just love this series !!!!
Godzilla is the equivalent of a cat just moving place to place to sleep, and we're just too eager to take pics and study it ahaha
I love the shot where we're looking at his head. He exhales so your eyes are drawn there. Then they shift back and... Oh shit. His eyes are open
The God is back in action, WOOOOOOOOOO. I’m so happy to see Godzilla back in action and he’s still as terrifying as Minus Gojira.
I like how this scene reference to godzilla vs mothra from 1964. Godzilla wakes up in the desert and starts roaring for no damn reason
Edit: to the person who thought I was talking about Godzilla vs. King Kong (1962) when I mentioned "Godzilla waking up in the desert" sorry but you're dead wrong. I say this is clearly referencing godzilla vs mothra (1964), where godzilla did exactly that and roaring in the desert for no reason
It wasn’t a desert, it was where they were draining the flooding from the typhoon at the beginning of the movie. After his fight with King Kong, the typhoon washed Godzilla on shore and buried him.
@@bruhmingo how do you not get that monarch: legacy of monsters is set either before or after godzilla's showdown with the MUTOs in San Francisco? This MonsterVerse TV series ain't about godzilla vs kong, it's set in 2021 after the events of 2019
@@PowerDebaterYTI’m pretty sure he’s talking about the scene from Godzilla vs Mothra (1964) when he rose out of the ground couple years later after he fought King Kong in King Kong vs Godzilla (1962) cause he was washed by a typhoon and got buried in mud and dirt and slept underground until that moment
@@marvelknights8342 I know he's referencing the scene from Godzilla vs. Mothra (1964) but what I'm saying is that this scene in monarch: legacy of monsters is a clear nod to that same moment from GVM (1964), where Godzilla wakes up in the desert
@ShinBurningGodzilla i'm saying this scene in monarch: legacy of monsters is actually a reference, especially considering godzilla in 2023 (referring to monarch: legacy of monsters) doesn't resemble godzilla from 1962-1964
“Oh shit! The monster is emerging!”
**helicopter maintains close distance**
The budget on this show is INSANE
Godzilla rising from the ground in this scene is a clear reference to when he did the same thing in the Showa era Godzilla vs Mothra film. Also, by the look of Godzilla's dorsal plates, it looks like this takes place after his fight with MUTO prime.
Yes this was 2015 that this took place
Yes, obviusly
I like that the heli didn't even attempt to get out of the way lmao
What do I kinda find it cute to know that Godzilla just felt like sleeping in the desert so he walked all the way to it to sleep
God I love his fkn roar, ever since i was a kid, still have his action figures from 1989,man I couldn't wait til a good movie came out of godzilla, cuz the old ones were crazy bad and funny in some cases
Godzilla kinda looks like he's thinking "God damn it. They woke me up... AGAIN! And I was having such a nice dream. Ah, well..."
My favorite scene here !!! And my favorite episode so far !
2:11 "did you see, he saw me" i would've pissed my pants
I would've pissed my pants before anyone seen me.
monarch the legacy of the monsters really came back with a bang.
1:39 this shot really makes Godzilla look like a moving mountain
Logically speaking, there probably shouldn't be any nerves in Godzilla's dorsal fins but it's kinda funny to imagine that being hit with a helicopter blade is something similar to hitting an elbow/toe on a piece of furniture and that's why he roared.
To live in that reality, to be so up close when that beautiful big beastie vocalizes like that would be worth all the risk.
The way that this scene has more views than most other scenes simply because we see our big boy🔥
I love they stick with how Godzilla was portrayed in 2014 and KOTM instead of him being an asshole like in GVK and GXK
I agree 100!!! Even a series was more concerned with maintaining consistency in godzilla's personality than adam wingard's films. At the beginning of the monsterverse, he seemed to be a noble old warrior, but in wingard's movies he's just a stupid lizard who attacks anything that breathes
Love how annoyed he seems. It’s like someone ripped the blanket off him for no real reason
what I love about this show is it b recaptures the wonder and awe and mysticalness we’ve lost in the movies.. hopefully they keep it up
I love how Monarch shows a monster once per episode for 9 seconds total
Yeah, but there was another scene where he came out of the ocean, so it was actually closer to 17 seconds in this episode
@@TheErockaustin Hahahaha! You right! 😂
After seeing Goji Centers' video on Godzilla's hypothetical alpha call, his normal roar should be enough to literally kill you. It will always bother me how the human characters are perfectly fine whenever Godzilla roars near them without absolutely destroying their eardrums
Hold on, wouldn't it realistically kill them? Not just the eardrums?
150db damages the eardrums, while 185db can damage your organs which can result in death. So yeah, I think Godzilla would kill an entire city by just singing.
I mean he should also have sunk through the ground when he went thermo in KOTM, the carrier in GvK should have broken much earlier, the Golden Gate Bridge...
He's so big he's directing most of the sound away! Yeah, that's the ticket...
I just love that Roar of Legendary Godzilla it’s amazing!!!!!
Minua one and Monarch have some of the best Kaiju effects I've seen, to the crew who made both, i applaud you
Only Godzilla can make a scene of waking up from nap this awesome
Makes me miss 2014 Godzilla
well this series might just be like 2014 when they show us kaijus
Yeah the new Kong x Godzilla trailer sucks soo much, feels like dumb avengers instead of monsters

Godzilla waking up and seeing those humans: "These peeps won't let me chill!"

And also the grandfather, I suspect...

This is what we want more of. Perfectly balanced episode unlike mediocre episode 5.
Mediocre is being too generous if you ask me.
Episode 5 was a good character building episode you need episodes to flesh out characters
@@nindu6913 And it not so much built... And made the audience dislike the "Characters" ... Well some of them.
@@nindu6913 That would be fine if the characters were well written and enjoyable to watch, but, you know.
Honestly the only likable character is Kurt russle honestly maybe that boy but the rest are annoying. You could honestly skip ep 4 nothing important happened in it.
Weird note, but it was pretty damn satisfying to FINALLY see how the hell Godzilla gets up.
Well, more-so, what it LOOKS like.
Never would have thought I’d see Kurt Russell and Godzilla on screen together.
What a cool homage to MosuGoji bursting out of the ground in Godzilla vs. Mothra.
Looking at Godzilla's eyes is like gazing into one of the many microcosmic eyes of nature itself. Nature always remembers those who righteously dotted upon it in the past.
This gives me major flashbacks to the end of Godzilla 2014 where he's knocked out after the final fight before waking up and everyone's both startled and impressed by him justing snorting. He even feels without much of a care for any of the humans around him. Shows how much a force of nature he is and how small we are compared to him.
I love the callback to one of the cheesy Godzilla movies. I remember something similar in of the 64 gojira movie
His wonderful roar always gives me goosebumps ever I watched my first Godzilla movie
0:45 Godzilla vs Mothra 1964 Reference
One of the greatest monsterverse scene ever
Godzilla just be taking a nap until some randos ruined it
Funny how the CGI and Godzilla himself look better in the show, the one with the supposedly less budget, than in the big budget next installment. 😂
These scenes were awesome!!
1000% agree… the ads for the new movie make me cringe and then get angry!!!!
The end of the roar is always chilling but yet so satisfying......
