Best year of the Corvette in my opinion. If GM were smart, they would make a "retro" version of this car with all updated engine, electronics, and safety equipment. Kind of like what Ford did with the Mustang and Chrysler did with the Hellcat. It would be a great car. Corvettes are built in the town where I live.
The c2 Corvette is by far the most beautiful design. I owned a 65 convertible 327/350hp. back when a good used one sold for $4500. Man I loved that car
I love the looks .. Smokey Yunick drove one and told GM that it had the aero dynamics up an upside down bathtub.. Too much air going under the nose made the front end light ..
63 - 67 are some of the most desired of the breed. They really entered the end of the 50's round fenders and bubble lights. They were called Midyears never C-2. They battled the A/C Cobras and Ford's best. They out lived their rivels. and every year was an improvement. C-3's were faster but at a lost of cargo space and later performance 78-82. Corvette went flat tails lost their round tail lights and hide-away lights and are that way today. They now have insane performance but at the cost of great looks....Sad!
I was 6 months old when the 1963 Corvettes came out with the other cars of that vintage. It means that it was being designed before I was born. The new cars, while in super car class, seems more like a Ferrari than a Corvette. It doesn’t look like a Corvette. Even though Zora Arkus Duntov wanted a mid engined car.
I love these Midyear Corvettes ❤ I own a 67 Coupe. And they’re a blast to drive.
Brilliant, thanks for sharing!

I wonder if those steps are still there, where Dr. Z sat with those racers?
Thanks. loved the Sebring especially. Racing at it's best!
Simply awesome. Midyear Corvettes are the best cars in the world
We've come full circle...the Mid-Engine C8 Corvette will be shown tonight.
I saw the white one ( 1st Z06) in a private collection last week. It raced as # 00
Nash Ville I age with you! Midyears are some of the best cars in the world!
The track looks just as good as the Nurburgring for testing. Someone will keep Corvette as a front engine replica even with the C8.
Awesome video.
Mannn I was only a year old dyammmm I love it 😀

skinney bias-ply tires and drum brakes....these guys were great drivers!
We're seatbelts standard equipment? I didn't see the drivers buckle up . Just an observation.
They were an option
Which Oval was that? And why were they running clock-wise? O.O
GM proving grounds in Milford
I was wondering the same thing
They race clock wise in Europe
If only he had not met Mickey Thompson ...
