I've found that the times I hit a "stall", it's when I'm exerting a ton of energy and not getting enough calories to match it, so I'm trying to be more cognizant of that. But yes, I started only allowing once a week weigh ins because it'll drive you bonkers. You're doing so great, and your meals look delicious!
Thanks for the insight. I started working out, so I’m wondering if I need to get a few more calories in. I also need to do better with my fluids. It’s so hard weighing only once a week, but I’ll do my best to stay away. Thanks for watching! 😊
December 11th will mark one month since I had a gastric sleeve done. I’m currently on the “soft food” stage and can hardly eat anything. I eat maybe less then 1/3 cup but I see your videos and I’m like ok that’s more then I’m ever able to eat. How?😢 one thing a truly miss is being able to eat a regular portion of anything 😓do you have any tips/ advice you can share? I like your videos they are definitely encouraging and it’s been the only thing helping me not feel alone in this process. Thank you 😊
Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m sorry it feels like you aren’t eating much. The portion size you’re describing seems typical for one month post-op. I was only eating about that amount after one month. My portion sizes have gradually increased with time. It might be helpful to remind yourself that your body just experienced a significant change and will need time to heal. I’m able to eat more since I’m five months out. Surprisingly, my portion size can be smaller than what you see, depending on the day and the type of food. Everyone’s body is different, so try not to compare your journey to others. I miss regular portion sizes as well. There are days when I want a lot of different things at once, but then I get frustrated that my body can’t handle it. It’s certainly a frustrating and rewarding process. My advice would be to listen to your body and eat slower. I find that I’m more satisfied with my food and the portion when I eat slower. I think it also helps to have a support system in place. The food I cook my family is similar to what I eat so that I won’t feel left out if their food “looks better”. Make your food look appetizing on a smaller dish. Just because it’s smaller doesn’t mean it can’t look good. You can do this! Take things one day at a time.
Don’t weigh yourself everyday because it can make you go crazy. You have been doing great so don’t be hard on yourself. Stalls don’t last forever 😊
Great idea.. I weight once a week on Sunday..4 months post op
Thanks so much for the reminder. I’ll have to hide my scale!
I’m trying my best to stay away from the scale.
Thanks again for the wonderful good ideas as well as the progress update. I’m just about a week behind you. 😊
You’re very welcome. Thanks so much for watching! I hope all is well with your journey!

Thank you so much! 🤗 I’m trying to do something different with the hair.
