Their debut album was a masterpiece, songs like Light my Fire & The End would fuel their intensity.

The only band that gives Beatles run for their money. Along with Beach Boys. This is what is known as a masterpiece. It is great in so many ways it is not possible to list them all. You said to let you know if you're wrong. A rodeo is bull riding, bronc riding (saddle and bareback), roping, team roping and barrel racing. I know I'm forgetting something, but you get the gist. I lived on a horse farm as a child, the family showed horses, so we went to more horse shows than rodeos, but I've seen a few. My aunt used to barrel race as well.

"Peace Frog" is great. And "Not to Touch the Earth" is, in my opinion, the most Doors-y of their songs. It encapsulates Jim's crazed mystique and the band ratchets up the tension throughout masterfully. Consider giving it a listen. :)

Found an instant connection with Jim at age 13 when i discovered him. Didn't find out until a few months ago after a dna test and a lot of research that he's my cousin! I was adopted. I really love the fact that every black person or couple that reacts to The Doors enjoys Jims blues songs. Oh and btw a road house is a tavern or inn with a bar on the outskirts of town. And there were many black establishments like this and I feel Jim was specifically trying to evoke the feel of a black roadhouse with this number.

Back in the day, a "roadhouse" was a country truckstop, with bar and grill, withone room "bungalos" in the back. The proprietor always had a black book of ladies of the evening.
