Need to listen to some Janis, Amy Lee and Grace Slick, Pat is in there as well.. Top 5 all time for sure is Ann, I can not argue your #1, all subjective, and for me changes with the day.
Heart is one of the most iconic rock bands that started in my hometown of Bothell, Washington. Such incredible energy, talent and drive. Ann Wilson, one of the greatest rock vocalist of all time. Nancy, her sister an amazing guitarist. And every band member, talented enough to have their own band! This band blows away ANY band today. This is true talent.
Ann Wilson has some of the best vocals ever. She is a very powerful singer even to this day. Nancy doesn't look that much different than the mid-70's, she is still rocking that guitar and still doing a great job at it.
Nancy is only now mildly getting the recognition she deserves in the pantheon of guitarists. She's the full package - artistically gifted, technically capable, well-rounded in genres ...
Your reactions remind me of a bunch of kids sitting around a record player an listening to an album for the first time and reading the liner notes. Keep up the good work.
I lived in Seattle for 15 yrs and got to see all the grunge bands and Heart was always hanging out with the bands. Heart's dedication to Led Zepplin at Kenedy Center singing Stairway to heaven is fantastic. It's got millions of views.
Love watching people discoving this old music for the first time. Brings a smile to this ancient face. Another Heart tune to check out is ALONE. Really highlights Ann's passionate range of vocals. Heart also did arguably the best cover EVER of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven in front of the surviving original LD members. Literally brought tears to their eyes. Well worth a reaction video.
@@badpop987 Yes at Kennedy Center rock hall of fame induction Led Zeppelin Stairway to heaven magic night Obama with Mrs Obama and other noted persons rocking out to the booming voice that night
You remind me of me and my girlfriends gathered around the record player listening to this for the first time in the 70s. :) "What kind of magic is this coming from these speakers?"
I saw Heart in concert 5 years ago. Ann's voice was absolutely incredible. She sang Alone without accompaniment and the power in her voice was phenomenal.
The first time I heard this song play on the radio, in 1976, I drove straight to the record store and bought the album. They were SO DIFFERENT from anything else, and I couldn't get enough! I played that album until all the songs had pops and crackles.
The sounds of Heart and the Wilson sisters, were synonymous with some of Rock and Rolls finest sounds of the mid to late 1970s. I thought your reaction to Heart's " Crazy On You." Was absolutely priceless, it was a reaction that took me back to the first we played it on the Hi-Fi system down in our basement Rec-Room in the summer of 76.
haha "The Moody Blues" is actually a band. And ironically their sound didn't seem to have a very heavy blues influence, but more of a British psychedelic folk thing.....Although you are still correct in stating that you heard a blues influence in Crazy on You!
You got such a joyous expression on your face while listening to this song. Its a real wonderful moment when you listen to a great song for the first time. You have this moment to share with everybody!
Ann is the powerful singer, Nancy plays the great guitar... it was hard for girls to break into a mostly male dominated field back in the 70's, but these were a couple tough, young women.. but verrrry talented. They had a lot of hits. React to "Dog and Butterfly". Yes, they are sisters. :-)
I didn't think they could do this song better, but, a few years ago Ann did a blues version of this song that just blew me AWAY! she is my most favorite female singer of all time.
If I had to pick a favorite band of all time, it would be Heart! You should react to "Barracuda", "If Looks Could Kill" or "What About Love"". They have so many great songs, it's ridiculous! Ann Wilson was/is the best Female voice in Rock Music EVER!
Love Heart! Reminds me of my middle school days. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson are beautiful -- and they can rock! My favorite Heart song is "Magic Man" (No. 9, 1976). "Barracuda" was another hit of theirs (No. 11, 1977). Like you mentioned, they had a big comeback in the mid-1980s with hits like "Never" (No. 4) "These Dreams" (No. 1), "Alone" (No. 1) and "Who Will You Run To?" (No. 7). They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. At the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors, they performed Led Zeppelin's iconic "Stairway to Heaven" (not an easy task!) when that British group was honored, in front of the Obamas.
Something interesting about Ann Wilson and this album. Once the album was finished and after her hearing her own voice, she was unhappy with it. So before their next album she went and had singing lessons just to improve her singing abilities. Can you believe such a thing? This lady can rock
Best Female Rock group... hands down. Anne Wilson has an incredible voice-- range, power and clarity. Try looking up their tribute to the band Led Zepplin live...
OMG YES....HEART! These women fought hard to pave the way for women rockers! My all time favorite females! Please do more and you have to watch them live! You’ve got to see Nancy on the guitar! See Stairway to Heaven - Tribute to Led Zeppelin. This song is about making love to forget the Vietnam war.
New to your channel and I love Heart, great reaction. Nancy is playing the intro on this and how amazing she is with Ann's equally amazing vocals. There is nothing but great songs on Dreamboat Annie. I recommend 'Alone' the video, I believe you will love it.
Another captivating reaction. You must react to Barracuda, Magic Man, and Heart's dedication toLed Zeppelin at Kennedy Center performing Stairway to Heaven is an absolute must watch.
I saw these ladies on their tour for the second album "Little Queen" on August 16th 1977 at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ. Nancy's guitar intro to this song was amazing live. That was the day Elvis died and they dedicated Led Zeppelins "Rock n Roll" to the King.
Ah yes, the sisters Wilson! What can we say that hasn't already been said.... I know, they are the only living souls that have the balls to do Stairway To Heaven, even while the Led Zepplin version was still getting lots of airtime, and they make us love it!
Ann and Nancy Wilson OWNED the rock world ON THEIR TERMS in the 1970's. Heart is my all time favorite rock band. They are talented beyond belief. Their world travels heavily influenced their music.
The Wilson sisters are amazing! Such soaring talents, they are truly underrated superstars of the rock industry. They became so popular in Vancouver before making it big people in Canada thought they were Canadian!! You can't go wrong with Heart. For a change of pace try "Dog and Butterfly"!
What made Heart so good was the songwriter of Ann and Nancy Wilson and the electric guitar playing of Roger Fisher. Roger aranged the music and gave the band their sound. When the band kicked him out in the early 1981 they lost their sound. Nancy played caustic guitar, but Roger aranged and played the lead guitar. He created their sound. Nancy, is a very good guitar player. You can hear Roger's influence in the bands first four albums. After that thier albums wend down hill fast. They did make a come back years later, but it was never the same.
You said this sounds familiar. Some that hear this song for the “first time” think they’ve heard it before. Eminem extensively sampled it in a song. That may be why it is familiar, though, it’s been in a lot of movies and TV shows over the years. It sounds 70’s but still Fire today. This may be their most iconic song but “Barracuda” and “Magic Man” are fire by them. You wouldn’t be disappointed.
Magic man! Please. Also, if possible, try to watch a video. They are pretty kicking live. For me, their music is part of my childhood. It was really moving to in a way relive that part of my childhood just by watching you hear this amazing song for the first time. I felt like I could see it move you through your eyes. Cool reaction.
Sub’d as soon as I saw you not only reacting to Heart but, you do research. But, you missed out not watching live version of Heart. Always a treat to watch Nancy on guitar.
Your reaction is like mine was in 1977. Still feel chills every time I hear this. Was blessed to see them in concert in 2016. Love the sisters Wilson, Ann and Nancy.
I totally agree...best female Rock-Voice ever, no discussion ! Listen to the Cover from the Song "Stairway to Heaven", live at the Kennedy Center to honor Led Zeppelin.
Ann Wilson is the greatest female rock singer on the planet. That woman's tone, power and range are breath-taking.
Gotta put Pat Benatar in the conversation.
@@bonose12 Of course. And she was opera trained, I believe.
and in the mid 70s they were both gorgeous as well.

Barracuda and Magic Man are a must if you do more reactions for Heart..
Stairway to heaven tribute
to Led Zeppelin too
Definitely Barracuda. That song just rocks and probably the hardest rock song they did. Definitely give that one a listen.
Dog and Butterfly and Dream Boat Annie is where I would start then run though the years......

Definitely!
One of the most underrated bands out there.
John Green and still going strong.
One of the most underrated guitar players in my opinion. She gets recognition but not enough. She was like 17 or 18 when they recorded this
how are they underrated?

That opening guitar intro. So awesome. Love this oldie but goodie. Great song. Gets ur blood going. Ann and Nancy just tear it up. Rock on. I 🤘🤘🤘🤘
