I am done with this, I work in IT industry, in Israel and yes there was a period of time I used to switch jobs, at the beginning to extend my proffessional knowledge, after it was for money but no more. Nowadays work in small start up in Tel Aviv, nice office, nice management, professional growth and pretty good money even though I am sure I could find a bit bigger salary, but I think I reached the moment when its not worthy.
I'm so glad you became aware that money isn't really a driving factor after a certain point. Some people are always chasing exorbitant salaries but the ideal situation is a combination of things. Work culture, people, strong management, work/life balance. Good on you
In my previous job, I initially thought I had it all: working alongside friends and having my own office seemed like the pinnacle of success. However, I soon realized that inadequate compensation and underutilization of my skills significantly diminished the experience. It's crucial to strike a balance between financial stability and a positive social environment. The ideal workplace should offer competitive pay, opportunities to fully leverage your abilities, a friendly atmosphere with like-minded colleagues, and attractive benefits. Finding this perfect combination is key to long-term job satisfaction and career growth. But ofc it's very hard to find a unicorn XD
@@hassansyed6087 Thanks brother. At some point I just faced a choice between my inner peace and this never ending loop of chasing money and I choose to stop, I am in the middle of my professional career, not going to be the next Zuckerberg or Brin and to be honest have no intention to be one. I pretty good at what I am doing, shaping my professional skills every day but I am also a family man, a surfer, snowboarder and mountain biker and I am not going to sacrifice that to get another K to my salary.
hiii new subscriber here! is it possible to find jobs with some weeks of workation in other countries per year? if not, how easy to find (almost) full remote work at home jobs. thx.

Hey, is your firm hiring perchance? I'm looking for entry level positions starting January. I speak German and Swiss German natively.
No, sorry

Full remote is very difficult unfortunately. Most companies do hybrid
Is english enough to work in Basel? is your job english speaking only?
No we speak german at my firm. But it might be enough in some places, not many tho
