Good work so far but it's important that the destruction gets more and better. But it doesn't help if the destruction in BF 2024 is perhaps better but the game is absolute garbage...
For a free to play game running on Unreal Engine 4 that's also gonna be on MOBILE compared to a paid release that's built on a game engine meant for this type of destruction, they did such an impressive job.
Unreal engine is just as capable of destruction. Frostbite is not "meant for destruction" anymore than Unreal Engine is "meant for realism". This comes down to Dev knowledge and optimization entirely. The engine is irrelevant.
One is the most uncreative copy pasted game I've seen in a long time and one is Battlefield. Yes they fd up 2042, but they gave us a lot of great games before 2042. All we can hope for is that the next BF will be back to the roots.

Well. On one hand other comment is correct, it is free. And additionally if it uses same effect for most of the explosions, you need less space on hard drive, less video memory and less ram. Considering Delta runs even on older system quite well.
BC2 had walls you could blow holes in a go through. There's been less of that ever since Frost Bite 2. I wish BF would go back to more destructibility.

In 2042 the damage and destruction physics I'm pretty sure hasn't changed since launch. And it's about to be retired. Delta is way behind on this front.
This is a great comparison! I was solo capping C2 on Stranded the other night - and shot one of the chairs at the jet display - I was impressed that the cushion came off from the seat frame - it's minor details like this that often go unnoticed but I appreciate the attention given to these minor assets =)
at least i won't have to press another button for it to explode but it was funny if the enemies are just storming the objective and they get sent back to spawn 😂
It's pretty crazy that Delta Force is so close to Battlefield already. You can tell when a developer wants to create something good, while the AAA companies hate the gamers who play their games

And they have the Frostbite Engine. which is great for detailed destruction and all the little Details and physics. because Dice developed it especially for Battlefield.. Now compare it to Battlefield V, a game made when all the devs who still knew the destruction tech inside and out were still at DICE. BF 2042's destruction is a shadow of its former self due to the fact that anyone who helped build it or worked on it regularly left EA/DICE to go work for Embark Studios who made The Finals and quite obviously took their knowledge with them.
BF1 was still toned down and wouldn't let you destroy everything. Bad Company 2 you could actually end up on a completely barren map by the end of the match.
The battlefield games have had their issues but I still think it's really cool that dirt/dust kicked up by explosions and bullet impacts cast their own shadow. A neat and subtle detail.
I didn't enjoy Delta Force at all, felt like a cheap copy of Battlefield and Call of Duty. I also don't support developers that steals from others. But they're chinese and owned by Tenscen after all lol

Hopefully the pros of delta force (many) will be added into bf. I especially appreciate the insane level of detail in weapon customization. Want to see customizable optic reticles too, tho.
Battlefield 2042 is clearly better, don't ever a debate. But, for a F2P early access game, Delta Force is making a great job. Hope DF grow up well and the next Battlefield be the best of its series.
There are some elements of DF that do feel/look cheap like the destruction and explosions. Hopefully it going into Early access means all those things that feel and look cheap will improve. Destruction being one of them. The gunplay however I feel is fun and great. Looking forward to the extraction mode!

DF is backed by infinite money printer Tencent, and DF literally did no work, they just copied several games almost outright with little to no creative, innovative, or artistic identity of its own. They literally did the bare minimum possible.
2042 appear to look better, but deltaforce is new and still being improved upon. Personally, I think they need to adjust the vehicle gameplay, gun sound, and add faction soldier skins for their warfare mode. That c4 explosion need works as well.

There's a few things that DF does better than 2042 that makes it a more enjoyable game. And the fact that it's still in development and they are actively speaking with the community and taking feedback to improve the game is nice and something we had with battlefield or many other modern FPS game in a long time 🤣 Also minor destruction detail like this isn't really all that important to the gameplay and if this is what they had to sacrifice for me to get 200+ fps on my old PC im all for it

Been keeping up with the development of this game for the past 2 years and have spoke with devs along with many other creators on changes that should be made and they have made them almost instantly the next update. The game is literally still in Beta phase and still currently being tested on multiple different types of modes and consoles behind the scenes The reason why it may look like a mobile game is because it literally IS a free to play mobile game that now has PC version with higher graphics. Also this is their first ever PC AND Console game. Funnily enough this game has a higher budget than battlefield and the studio that owns it is worth over 11x EAs entire networth 🤣
2042 is still a beta I played that trash with PC gamepass and it didn't last that long in my 4TB disk. The same disk I almost lost cus your beloved scamfield 2042bugs made it sound really weird

Just got back into battlefield 4 (jump in, seriously. You deserve it), making this comparison even more interesting. What they have in Delta force looks decent enough, but the attention to detail is pretty lacking. Hopefully they just started big and will move on to the smaller objects later, etc. Even so, the fact that 2042 falls just shy of their previous works, and already another company is gaining on them... i feel like people also forget that as long as this game doesn't die it'll keep progressing in quality as updates come out and will definitely surpass bf2042 and probably keep up or get better then modern bf games as well. Also i can see why people prefer realism and if cosmetics get out of hand in this game breaking realism i can see why some people won't like that but i and probably many others just prefer a fun game with good mechanics

They should work on the sound alot more. BF sound is very natural and "thumpy", you can literally feel the explosion with your ears. Delta's sound is very flat and sounds compressed.
IF you uninstall the game, it still keeps these services on your system. I found out there hard way when I went to open up another game and received an error pertaining to 'ACE-BASE'. DO NOT FOLLOW THESE STEPS IF YOU PLAN TO PLAY THIS To remove: Open CMD in administrator mode and enter these commands: sc delete ACE-GAME sc delete ACE-BASE sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Service" sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Protection" And of course restart your PC to finalize the deletions
I played Delta Force and it was destroyed when I hit a tree with my car. I think this comparison is a bit incomplete, and let's not forget that Delta Force is currently in beta testing and the full version will be released next year.
Delta Force is a solid 10/10 game! The fact that it's a free to play Battlefield game that supports low systems to be played on is a HUGE W, despite the way it's UI and lobby that feels like a mobile game, it's nice.
BF seems to be more realistic - but there is a catch. BF sucks and it sucks for years. DF is the game BF always should have been and it is free-to-play. AND DF is just at the beginning, there is a lot to come!

I purchased the BF2042 Ultimate Edition when the game launched on PS5. $130 CDN. While Delta Force is F2P and not too far behind DICE's destruction levels. But Dice has had a polished turd. I think a lot of gamers will appreciate slightly less polish, for a better first person shooter experience overall. Looking forward to Delta Force on PS5, eventually.
The explosion adds to the immersion on its own, even though it's not as realistic. I mean, Battlefield 1 was much more realistic than Battlefield 2042, but 2042 is still immersive as well. That's all I need in this regard. As far as wants and desires, sure, I'd go for more realism.
Right now I’m really conflicted with Delta Force, on one hand it can be fun asf, on the other hand I can’t get over the annoying operators, sometimes inconsistent movement, and the overall sweaty atmosphere.

One thing ive noticed about Delta Force is all of the explosions look the same and quite cheap. It's the billowing orange cloud flame for everything.
Which is fine when you consider you don't have to pay for it.
Must of it is a copy battle field and copy call of duty. Merge it into one game.

Now compare it to Battlefield V, a game made when all the devs who still knew the destruction tech inside and out were still at DICE. BF 2042's destruction is a shadow of its former self due to the fact that anyone who helped build it or worked on it regularly left EA/DICE to go work for Embark Studios who made The Finals and quite obviously took their knowledge with them.
We have to keep in mind, delta force is in beta, and it's a free to play...and honestly it's already better than lots of other paying fps games

BF1 was still toned down and wouldn't let you destroy everything. Bad Company 2 you could actually end up on a completely barren map by the end of the match.

The battlefield games have had their issues but I still think it's really cool that dirt/dust kicked up by explosions and bullet impacts cast their own shadow. A neat and subtle detail.
I see the results but i still enjoyed delta force more than when i played BF2042 and it was just a beta i cant wait for the game to fully release
I didn't enjoy Delta Force at all, felt like a cheap copy of Battlefield and Call of Duty. I also don't support developers that steals from others. But they're chinese and owned by Tenscen after all lol

But honestly, Delta Force's gameplay element designs kind of conflict with each other. Trying it without in-game purchases will be a good choice if you really have faith in its future.
Keep in mind that Delta Force is still in beta and is also a free-to-play game that has gotten very positive reviews.

Other than that, I'm surprised 2042 appears to still have more destruction going on after being complained that it doesn't have much compared to previous titles.
Hopefully the pros of delta force (many) will be added into bf. I especially appreciate the insane level of detail in weapon customization. Want to see customizable optic reticles too, tho.
Battlefield 2042 is clearly better, don't ever a debate. But, for a F2P early access game, Delta Force is making a great job. Hope DF grow up well and the next Battlefield be the best of its series.
There are some elements of DF that do feel/look cheap like the destruction and explosions. Hopefully it going into Early access means all those things that feel and look cheap will improve. Destruction being one of them. The gunplay however I feel is fun and great. Looking forward to the extraction mode!

They didn’t even have to build Unreal Engine 4, however idk how much Unreal is holding them back preventing them from making a properly destructible set of solar panels.

I don't love that Delta Force looks like a carbon copy of Battlefield 2042. I mean the UI is even similar
2042 appear to look better, but deltaforce is new and still being improved upon. Personally, I think they need to adjust the vehicle gameplay, gun sound, and add faction soldier skins for their warfare mode. That c4 explosion need works as well.

There's a few things that DF does better than 2042 that makes it a more enjoyable game. And the fact that it's still in development and they are actively speaking with the community and taking feedback to improve the game is nice and something we had with battlefield or many other modern FPS game in a long time 🤣
Also minor destruction detail like this isn't really all that important to the gameplay and if this is what they had to sacrifice for me to get 200+ fps on my old PC im all for it

Been keeping up with the development of this game for the past 2 years and have spoke with devs along with many other creators on changes that should be made and they have made them almost instantly the next update.
The game is literally still in Beta phase and still currently being tested on multiple different types of modes and consoles behind the scenes
The reason why it may look like a mobile game is because it literally IS a free to play mobile game that now has PC version with higher graphics. Also this is their first ever PC AND Console game.
Funnily enough this game has a higher budget than battlefield and the studio that owns it is worth over 11x EAs entire networth 🤣

Just got back into battlefield 4 (jump in, seriously. You deserve it), making this comparison even more interesting. What they have in Delta force looks decent enough, but the attention to detail is pretty lacking. Hopefully they just started big and will move on to the smaller objects later, etc. Even so, the fact that 2042 falls just shy of their previous works, and already another company is gaining on them... That's cool to see.

i feel like people also forget that as long as this game doesn't die it'll keep progressing in quality as updates come out and will definitely surpass bf2042 and probably keep up or get better then modern bf games as well.

They should work on the sound alot more. BF sound is very natural and "thumpy", you can literally feel the explosion with your ears. Delta's sound is very flat and sounds compressed.
IF you uninstall the game, it still keeps these services on your system. I found out there hard way when I went to open up another game and received an error pertaining to 'ACE-BASE'.
DO NOT FOLLOW THESE STEPS IF YOU PLAN TO PLAY THIS
To remove:
Open CMD in administrator mode and enter these commands:
sc delete ACE-GAME
sc delete ACE-BASE
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Service"
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Protection"
And of course restart your PC to finalize the deletions

The fact that it's a free to play Battlefield game that supports low systems to be played on is a HUGE W, despite the way it's UI and lobby that feels like a mobile game, it's nice.
Weapon detail, sound, customization AND gun play itself is better in Delta Force for sure.

The explosion adds to the immersion on its own, even though it's not as realistic. I mean, Battlefield 1 was much more realistic than Battlefield 2042, but 2042 is still immersive as well. That's all I need in this regard. As far as wants and desires, sure, I'd go for more realism.
