Can't rave about this game enough. One of my absolute favourites. Thank you for sharing this! I swear, the people who wrote this game should be in charge of "Predator" movies.
The fact that Scarface went through all of this with the enemies, fought his own clansmen and even their heritages arch-enemy which was a surprise to everyone at the end of the game. Xenomorphs, too bad he didn't get to kill Praes or even a queen. Only Drones.
Don't forget, he did all that while he is half blind due to his eye getting shot out. Also surviving in exile for 100 years with only his staff and wrist blades.
There was actually a guy named purposeless rabbit holes who did a narrative and technical review though while he was optimistic at first he started hating it why? watch the video it's called concrete jungle: how did this happen?
Most people didn’t like the game because of the controls. They weren’t complicated once you played the game after 10 minutes but, at the time, most gamers were still used to simple controls that playing a game with complicated controls was considered bad for that reason alone.
God, I love how this sorta establishes a (sadly no longer canon) origin to the Weyland-Yutani corporation. And connects itself (sorta) seamlessly with the AvP films. I wish this great story could be picked up again one day.
Say what you will about the gameplay, but the voice acting for some of these characters is really good. You can feel the all around negative attitude of Lucretia, the fascination from Hunter, the panic in El Hongo. Some of the side characters fall a bit flat, but the Borgias were spot on.
I love how the voodoo guy around 6:35 is the same dude that voiced the original Mannoroth in WarCraft 3, the best thing about that character aside from his demonic appearance was the badass voice.
I like how it sort of Connects or stays within its own continuity of the AVP films.I kinda like how in the universe Xenomorphs were just a species and not a creation by a mad Android.
Thanks to the hubris of a senile old ridley scott all those years of world building and lore undone.🤦🏿♂️ I still hold on to the AVP canon regardless of it's shortcomings. Way more interesting than the rouge A.I. thing Scott's going for in the Alien/Prometheus canon.
Played this when I was far to young and glad I did, such a great story and cemented my love for the franchise. Would had been a shame to miss out on this title
God the dialogue and narration are all just so simple but so well done for a predator game, it's just amazing at pulling you into the story. If we don't get a remaster I need to find out a way to play the game again somehow...
As much as I love this game there is a problem I had with it. It’s the inclusion of the Xenomorph species. I feel like Concrete Jungle shouldn’t have included them because for the whole game up to that point we were following Scarface’s story not an AVP story, so it felt strange to include both Predator and Xenomorph in a non AVP game, though games like Mortal Kombat X are fine are because both characters are only guest fighters. I felt the Xenomorphs should have only been an Easter egg, for example you find a secret room in Borgia Industries filled with documents of the Xenomorph species, or a sealed lab full of either Facehuggers or Xenomorph eggs!
Stfu, the xenomorphs made this game way better, like the xenomorph skull in predator 2, xenomorphs and predator go hand in hand. Needed a full xenomorph mission, where you deal with the queen as well.
I wish most games would get remastered or rebooted but that’s a dream that will most likely never happen because I would love to play most of these games again

A true Predator masterpiece, imagine if this game got a remaster how many people would dive back into the concrete jungle to hunt once more. A remake is in order….and Scarface technically didn’t complete his mission, Lucretia is still alive, a sequel could be introduced

All its wrong doings, rookie mistakes being banished for 100yrs & return to find humans fully know of them & weaponised their alien tech against them. New way devil Blowing up whole land & waking up thinking shiiiit". Borgia were freaking crazy. I kinda eould buy that predator blood may/can genetically power a weak new born & becoming power hungry loon half bred pred human freak, just becos he can. Ya rooting for the pred to end their misery regain its honour respect & some worthy trophies skulls bk to top!
well shit, I played this game for the first time when I was 10, 17 years ago! and it was flawlessly epic, randomly got the idea to come back and watch and my god, my brain remembers all the cutscenes but had upgraded the visuals with todays graphics for some reason and this looks so bad, if they were to remaster this game or even remake it in something like unreal 5. Games back then had no choice but to capture you with brilliant story and epic baddies to make up for the poor visuals. So much better than the games of today.
It doesn't look bad. Sure if you compare it to unreal engine 5 then you will be disappointed. It's nearly 20 years old, I played this when I was in 7th grade, im 30 now lol looks good for 2005

If they made a movie like this it would be a hit. It further explains how and why humanity has all the high tech in the alien franchise. Need a better movie than Shane blacks predator or the horribly dark AVPR movie.

City Hunter says the Jamaican gangster's "Shit happens" and says "Motherfucker" before Harrigan finishes his sentence. I think Predators which have been around and listening to humans long enough are capable of saying human speech without their masks. Probably when they record voices on their masks not only do they play it to lure prey they probably also use it to listen and learn human speech kinda like when your learning a different language by listening to it on a audio cassette or CD so you know how to pronounce the words. Scarface probably hasn't been around humans long enough to actually speak something they say and still has to rely on audio recordings on his mask.

Isabella shoots Scarface in the eye causing his blood to splatter on her and Hunter. Scarface in his wounded state accidentally leaves behind his tech while trying to escape. He uses self destruct on the city in hopes of committing suicide and getting rid of all traces of himself but this backfires as he survives the explosion. Scarface's clan is furious with him for exposing himself to the humans and allowing them to get their hands on Yautja tech so they exile him to a planet forced to fend for himself. Scarface is able to survive for 100 years so his clan comes back deciding to give him a chance to restore his honor. During the 100 years with the Yautja tech Scarface left behind the Borgia family were able to use it and rebuild the city which ends up attracting other Yautja where the humans are actually able to capture them. So Scarface is tasked with retrieving the tech and killing every last person who has used this tech. Scarface basically does that, has to kill a few captured Yautja which were experimented on and finds out Isabella has been turned into some super computer called MOTHER that controls the city and flat out had the city rebuilt to attract Yautja in the hopes he will come back because she has the hots for him. Scarface kills the bitch then kills Hunter who had been genetically altering himself with Yautja DNA. Scarface has his honor restored and leaves Earth with his clan. Meanwhile Hunter's daughter Lucretia who Hunter killed for pretty much no reason is resurrected into a new MOTHER computer and some other guy takes over the Borgia Industries business.

This was hands down one of my modt favorite video games of all time i plaid a ungodly amount of hours into this amazing amazing game.

I was lucky I found my second copy at GameStop it was among the last of the ps2 there since ps2 games were getting harder to come by at stores.

If you watch the rest of the cutscenes, near the end you learn how his son survived for 100 years and kept his youth.
Hunter and Isabella got Scarface's blood splattered all over them when Isabella shot Scarface in the eye. The blood is what made them live longer.
