That whole "did it stop" rule is stupid. It literally could not have stopped if it still managed to fall in, even if the movement was almost imperceptible.
I thought exactly the same thing. I think that rule exists incase someone’s movement around the table drops the ball. Although I don’t think that happened in this occasion.
I'd say with the exception of the ball stopping and dropping rule, should go back to 5 seconds it was a great final and could have easily gone the other way.
It's funny when this situation occurs in amateur league night, and I go "it was within 5 seconds." And someone is like "that's not the rule anymore'" and I'm like "ok you tell me what happened then" and nobody has any clue. It's literally impossible to judge without a professional ref and slow motion video review.
That "ball stopped" at 26:17 is the dumbest shit I've ever seen, he hit a legal shot, ball went in, how does he lose turn? If a ball goes off table it doesn't get put back so how does a ball that fell into the pocket on a legal shot come back?
Chris melling is just a diffrent breed. Amazing player.
The Magician workin his magic!

If the movement was imperceptible, then by definition, it stopped.

whatever you think of the rule - the referee didn't replace the ball correctly
Brennan's hand was still on the table when the ball dropped. He was still addressing the table.
great match.
much prefer these longer race formats
Excellent match

that finger tap on declans bridge is out of control
Only walkers tap their finger
It's not fair at all!!! When arriving at decider, the difference should be two frames to determine the winner; like in tennis.
We'll done Chris..
Thanks for the heads up ass

What a nail biter!!
Ref moved the ball when cleaning the it in frame 25
What happened on the 7-7? Why did they shake hands and reset the time?
end of first session
