I have a Ping Original Anser w/sound slot in manganese bronze, an Anser 2 in steel, and Ping Karsten Series Anser 2 in steel I believe from 2007 and I think it was the last year Made in USA stamped on head. Later ones are assembled in USA. All great putters and copied by many, for a reason. Great video as always.
Did you check with Ping on the release date of the Anser 3? I purchased an Anser 3 in Honolulu in approx. 1974 while on a holiday and I still have it. Replaced the grip once with OEM.
Try a STX SYNC TOUR putter! i know you did another model, but since LAB putters and other brands started placing the shafs further back on the heads just like STX did, it would be cool to hear your thoughts. i know they are not zero torque but still.
Great video!

I have the original Ping Anser in my bag, absolutely love it
When you marry the Anser with the Zing, you have the MyDay, my favorite shape :)
I actually did get an Anser 2 for $2.99 at Goodwill! I prefer the Ping Zing style putter
Been playing golf for 40 years. Everything from ping is GOLF. i prefer tm or Callaway, but ping makes great clubs, everyone knows.
I'm not sure about the release dates... I think the steel came in the "068" zip era

Have Ping Zing G2 still a great putter.
Sorry , I think I'm mistaken, it was a Titleist Bullseye flanged model. I do have a bunch of old putters from the1950's forward.
Is the original ping putter the only one that goes "PING" ?

Added it to my list
@@TheVintageGolfer thanks i love the channel! watched every episode!
Just a well designed simple putter. Copied from the cheapest hack to the most expensive manufacturing company.
The most copied shape in golf! Why own anything but a Ping?
I love the idea of this channel, but the narration drives me nuts every time.
