I love Vinny so much but for some reason it's really refreshing to see his commentary mostly being genuinely infatuated with the game, getting into the gameplay and amazed at how well this version plays and looks. It feels good seeing people genuinely connect with something they love. And boy is this game amazing.

It baffles my mind how Nintendo never gave the rights to make Star Fox to Treasure. After Star Fox 64 the only good on rails shooter, on a nintendo console, would be Sin and Punishment. Kid Icarus: Uprising comes to mind, I wish they would have taken the same approach with Star Fox.
Star Fox Assault had its issues, but I think on-foot missions were a great idea for the series. You still get to shoot shit down but now you can also run around and do some exploring. Dare I say Kid Icarus: Uprising is the best template for Star Fox going forward?

Majora's Mask Recompiled already has a functional implementation of the Archipelago Multiworld randomizer available, though it's not quite complete it is playable. Which means you could randomize it with Zelda 1 or LTTP as well (or the original OOT, unfortunately there's no SoH support for that at this point. An OOT+MM recompilation is likely to be supported in future) in the same randomizer, alongside dozens of other games, and have it send items between them.
I wonder how Rocco Botte feels about this game. I know he doesn't care for the n64 but with all the weird cool characters, mechs, and star wars like ships you would think he would dig it.

Clearing this game on the Hard path for the first time and getting the true ending was probably one of my most memorable moments in gaming as well. There's something intensely satisfying about it, even to this day.

Nintendo doesn't need to innovate when it comes to Starfox or F-Zero. These two franchises have always been about technical demonstration, just release them when the console is fresh.
This is true for the first couple of installments but that statement is wrong you can see a clear example to the legend of Zelda. Everyone was getting bored of it until breath of the wild. Innovation needs to keep happening maybe not for every game.

But if you're only making one per generation and introducing incremental innovations, I feel that fatigue would be unlikely to set in. A new generation brings improved visuals and (with Nintendo) new gimmicks to take advantage of. With Switch 2, they could probably play it completely safe and people would lap it up. Edit: I might add that Zelda also had a healthy dose of supplemental games on handhelds. It's probably Nintendo's most oversaturated series outside Pokémon. Incidentally, there's a series that, up until (relatively) recently, seemed impervious to the need for innovation. 😋
