With the ROM hacks here and Super Mario X having a 3DS/Wii U port thanks to TheXTech, it's been a good year for Mario fan hacks... granted the update to make everything run smoother (especially on 3DS) has yet to be finalized until early 2025 at best.

Titan A.E. was a Don Bluth film, and I agree that it is good. Sadly, it has still never gotten a Blu Ray/HD release and is still stuck on DVD/standard def... :( (and unfortunately Bluth's films haven't gotten particularly good treatment on their Blu Ray transfers in general. They def look better than the DVDs but still not great, which is a shame because Bluth and his films deserve so much better). The Road to El Dorado was DreamWorks.

The only thing that could make me interested in the Switch 2 is a Mario Maker 3 with functioning online. I have put so much time into MM/MM2...hundreds of hours, but I had to stop because the glitchy, laggy online and completely hacked leaderboards ruined the fun of it. But Nintendo will never ever fix their fuck awful online infrastructure. Makes me so sad.
Vinny being so overwhelmingly against the new Turok is honestly annoying. Not because it's wrong for him to say that or because I like the series (never played it), but because he's so against it... and I don't even know why. Surely it's not just because it's third-person, right? That's all I heard him say about it. For some reason it being third-person means it'll contain literally every bad thing from every videogame ever; that's pretty much what Vin was saying. Since when did third-person become so reviled? Despite not playing the series, I can clearly tell that it's different, but not every game needs to be a boomer-shooter. Damn this lack of pessimism I have!
