I died of laughter when they roasted the judges, but when they said “here’s our applications” that REALLY got me 😂😂😂😂😂😂 didn’t expect that self-deprecating joke lol
I was there to see this live. It is just as poignant today as it was then. But the announcement that they made the 10 (and their finals intro) was one for the record books. I miss these guys. The conventions just haven't been the same without them.
These guys are good at faking falls. Eddy here, and KJ at Carnegie during Old Macdonald's Deformed Farm... Anyone have any tips for falling for comedic effect without harming oneself?
It’s something about the way you fall, and it’s in you legs. I think. My theatre friends told me a while ago. You somehow twist yourself so your legs and side hit first
These guys are entertaining. Will miss them, but they will find another group to join and make more fun for us all to enjoy. Thanks for the laughs guys.

I'm a Barbershop Harmony Society outsider, so was not aware. Thanks for the info. Huge fan of the Society's output though! There are a lot of really amazing quartets who have competed over the years.

It's nice to know that at least one of these guys did win gold in the end..😊
KJ the goat. The personality disorder goat that is.
they did?
@@Rainbowlightning08 KJ (the baritone) won it for Midtown in 2023 I believe!
now KJ has to form another quartet… then win
They may have never won any awards, but they won our hearts for decades to come. I will always remember Lunch Break over any other quartet.
Lunch Break's legacy is so strong that a 13 minute Lunch Break tribute performance both won gold and broke the Performance score record.

Even having read your comment ahead of time it still caught me off guard. That was fantastic.

Well...they might comeback to it, in the future. A lot can happen in a decade.
Their baritone is currently in a 5th place quartet.
Just after "We have Shane", I'm just hypnotized by the long note by Shane...
I think that's a callback to Hot Air Buffoons' If I only Have A Brain
@@oliverdelica2289 I've been trying to figure out what the whole Shane thing was a call back to. 😅
Lunch Break forever in our hearts.
My heart hurts a little for these guys. Always such treasures when they perform.
Absolutely heart-shattering but also humbling. I wish these guys were still doing what they loved to do so much...:)
And then later, KJ wins with Midtown singing a Lunch Room song.
its break room
I thought it was lunch break? 😂
@@Crafter_H You are obviously confused with Break Lunch
I'm pretty sure the tenor and lead just asked the bass what the next part was at 5:42 ish. That just makes this even funnier.
I think they were both telling him "when's it our turn" which was the next line. Probably just reminding eachother what the next line was

Lunchbreak, NFF... I love those comedy acts. They're entertaining ^_^

They learnt from FRED! as did Storm Front... I've heard one of them explaining it. Unfortunately I've forgotten the technique.

There should be separate categories; entertaining, and traditional... just a thought.
Agreed but comedy and traditional 🤔
Nah
Comedy quartets do well in PER! It still has to sound good lol
An excellent execution in every way.
So I'm a bit late to the party, but did anybody else see the judge hold the application up and rip it in half? What a salty jerk!
I think there's a chance the judge was intending to say, "you're too good to be judges" in response to the joke.
