@MsDee409 I agree, and I'm also a big fan of hers. I hope you're right and maybe it's just her being nervous. but it does seem insensitive and inappropriate.
I disagree. These people have heard and seen stuff not many will ever witness. People have different ways of dealing with things. Sometimes laughing even at inappropriate things is just a thing that happens. Ana has always been very respectful of victims and families etc. Sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from going crazy. And no I'm not trying to start any arguments, just having a respectful conversation and difference of opinions between adults. I just don't think she meant anything bad by it.
I agree, Anna deals with true crime daily literally! It's apart of her personality and although it may seem insensitive it's not meant to cause harm, it's just apart of her personality. It happens often more like "shock" or an "I can't believe this" response to some of the behaviors especially since they never stop. Don't do crime yet people do them everyday and foolishly although I'm their moment of the act the criminals think they are doing a good job.
Seems like she was just getting all her evil out in court because she knew what her end would be. I’ve seen teen killers in court here on RUclips give the victims family the middle finger, laughing and saying horrible things to the victims family. Just evil inside and out.
I think if a defendant is being belligerent and unruly and disturbing the court proceedings, I think that's added trauma for the family of the victim who have already suffered a tremendous loss. If, after a warning, the defendant does not correct the behaviour, I do think it should be taken into consideration during sentencing.
Wow!! 83 attempted murder charges?! That's wildly overcharged. I think he had a mental health issue, and wow, just wow, 83 attempted murder charges. I could not vote guilty on even one attempted murder charge. A mild mental health issue, 48 hours of no sleep, and 'shrooms. It's a perfect storm. Some of us don't know how 'shrooms effect us. Some of us have issues for days after taking them.
Yes Anna she should be held accountable for how she acts in court! In the US people overlook that and they shouldn't. That woman lost his son those boys lost their father, and it wasn't because of a divorce it was because of money! And if that girl hadn't of had her husband's best friend do it it would have been somebody else that would have killed him FOR her!!
I agree with Anna, what do you expect when you go to prison its not the Marriott! Its a punishment! If there were more prisons like this ain the US maybe it would keep more people out of prison!

Judge might have been really mad because her mother in law lost her son and was also a victim ! I think they should be taken into account in the sentencing
There are many professions where Employees will not self report mental illness. Doctors, firefighters, cops, nurses, ATC controllers and high level military careers.
This is 100% true & accurate! Ironically those in mental health careers as well. I witnessed a successful female Psychologist get terminated for her mental health issues trickling into her work with her patients. They know best how to go unrecognized.
Her actions in court are a reflection of her character. She is in court accused of a heinous crime & she chooses to behave in this despicable way? I'm glad the Judge called her on it!💔🙏
Always in these love triangles, the perpetrator who is responsible for playing off 2 women against each other always walk away with no charges when infact they're responsible?
My ‘love triangle’ turned out GREAT! My husband figured out that he had to “love” me better and support me when his mother treated me like ‘crap’. She was terribly mean and his brother and sisters were enablers for her. Another realization that he figured out that some of his previous ‘friends’ were not worth maintaining these relationships at the expense of losing me. We will be married for 39 years this month~ I believe many women have affairs because they are lonely, not supported and their mate doesn’t prioritize the relationship.
Hello. The first case from the Indian family was quite interesting on a legal perspective. I am not against the high consideration given to the horrible behavior of the suspect in court; especially against the family (mother-in-law) of the victim. Sad all around. I'm glad she got the death penalty. Her murderous actions were incredibly aggregious and shocking. Hope the boys are doing well with their paternal uncle. Thank you for covering the case. 💐
When I worked as a Corrections Officer, we had to be present for any and all medical procedures/appointments. There had to be one inside with the inmate, and one outside the door!
Her actions absolutely should be taken into consideration in sentencing. It goes to the state of the heart and the realization of the gravity of the situation. The longer they need to sit and think about it...
I just love the smile of Mike King. It makes him look open and welcoming. It's nice to see, especially with all the horrible things going on in the world.
The betrayal causes distrust in all areas of your life, because life as you knew it, ended up being a lie! I have been there and then my Husband died 1 week after he cheated and videoed it on his phone!! Once seen, it can’t be unseen!! 😠😠😪
I work with 7 Ear, Nose and Throat physicians/surgeons. We have had multiple pilots come in for dizziness/vertigo. They were still flying as everything in their environment was spinning due to vertigo.
Thank you Nicole!! You represented us, the listeners & viewers really well. Fellow fans it doesnt matter if youre not an elite sportsperson or have a pidcast with hundreds of thousands of fans, we ALL make a difference. Keep up the great work friends
As is ours in Canada I mean we let most murderers walk after 10 years if that😢 it’s really a disgraceful world all around.. except for those cultures not corrupted by modern man.
Cheating with best friend happened to my husband. He was married at a young age before I came along obviously. His best friend and best man at his wedding, was sleeping with his wife! Needless to say he divorced her and married me 6 years later. People just need to divorce and not ruin their own, but more importantly , their kids’ lives!! Those boys are now missing 2 parents. 😢
Regardless of what the judge said, she deserves the highest penalty. Trying to kill the husband in front of her child ( child abuse), and allowing her child to see his father be killed by the boyfriend in a brutal manner.
People need to understand that psychedelics affect everyone differently. I did shrooms 1s. I barfed for 2hrs then I was tripping high for 24hrs. Another 48hrs and i had gut rot followed by tracers and highs that would last an hour or 2. I never did it again. I believe that the pilot after 48hrs, may still have had trip issues. Especially if he's not done them before.
As for the pilot and the mushrooms… I have known 2 people who had multiple days of tripping. One of my friends took mushrooms on a Friday night. He was disengaged from reality but still engaged… in that he came to school on Monday… he walked right past all of us like he didn’t know us… by the end of first period he had been taken away via ambulance. The second friend was possibly slipped a hallucinogenic drug and was completely detached from reality for more than a week. He was hospitalized about 3 days into the “trip”, but continued to see things for about a week… the pilot may have continued to trip for days and days…
I'm so glad I never used drugs like that. I react differently than others. Could either be a horrible violent or traumatic experience, or I'd be completely unaffected and bored....
The question the interviewer asks about the woman who killed the other woman and asks "do you think murder will solve the problem with this other woman?" is completely ignorant. A person who seeks murder to resolve any problem is not sitting there measuring out logical, rational, practical solutions. That person has crossed over into deranged thinking. To take a life requires some level of madness.
Thank you for covering. Analyzing the case from a Eurocentric lens without factoring in the cultural perspective as a key factor in the outcome is an exercise in futility. MILs enjoy a special privilege in the culture and living in the same home:. Indian men are momma boys and often contributors direct or indirect (silence) resulting in mental and physical abuse years of millions of women. Naturally, the generalization turns of facts in each case. I am referring to cultural norms that have historically subjugated women since biblical times. I’m surprised you didn’t consult a south Asian expert or academic to help you sensitize and better understand the behavioural aspects… that are key contributors to such cases.
This is the comment I was looking for specially being for England with have a big community here so I do understand it because I have Asian friends who I have seen 1st hand how they treat women let alone daughter in-laws. We should be disgusted that they added on to sentence because she didn't respect the mom in-laws 😒
Of course her actions against her mother-in-law should be definitely taken into consideration. If she didn't kill the woman's son, her own husband, and her children's father she wouldn't be in court in a 1st place.
India is very Sect conscious , being the right class, not marrying outside your group. Very proud and stubborn and demand respect!!! This judge has got involved on a personal level and the lawyers should challenge verdict
You seem familiar with this case, I was hoping you would know the spelling of her name...I'd like to hear the full case story, but don't know how to spell it and the way Ana is pronouncing it doesn't help either. Thanks!
Sorry, but I am very disappointed at the amount of levity in the recounting of this first story. The child, the now first- born male of the deceased husband, could've been easily brainwashed by the family over the years into claiming the mom ordered the lover to kill the husband. As you said Ana, we are seeing a very patriarchial society mete out justice to one of it's women, who are generally not as valued as the men are. The status of a mother- in law is only elevated because of her son. Daughters in law are looked down on in this culture ( incidents of burning new brides, acid disfigurement etc.) British law might acknowledge divorce, but cultural mores are often still strong even for emigrants. (There might be further repercussions for her from relatives.) The lover committed the murder, but he's not given the death penalty. Looks like another move to keep insurgent daughters-in law in their places. The de-humanizing conditions of these prisons are concern on a human rights level, a generally very sad situation.
I enjoyed this show today, especially the end. So fun and friendly, I loved your guest, Mike. I hope you have him on your show again. Have a great week!
The prison better watch the laundry baskets when the laundry gets cleaned because Kaitlyn may be hidden in one of those baskets. In the baskets with laundry awaiting to being trucked to be cleaned at the laundry plant, Kaitlyn might be in one of those baskets waiting to jump out of the baskets once the truck has reached a considerable distance from the prison so she'd go on the run.
Wonderful commentating on these cases Ana. The case in India is so horrific it's so hard to fathom. I absolutely think that behavior of the convicted should be included in sentencing especially in this case. Not that showing remorse would change anything, but remorse is somewhat of a mere consolation for the victims family. More than that it always gets to me when such horrific crimes may not get the justice it deserves so yes tack on the behavior too of these slime bag murderers.
I don't understand a husband wanting to confront his best friend on a vacation together!? Do it before if you know and either go on vacation on your own, or with your wife on the hopes of patching up the marriage. Unfortunately , my mind immediately went to a darker place. If he knew before, did he intentionally keep it from his work that he knew who it was , because he had the intention to have the best friend " disappear "while on vacation? He was a man who didn't accept divorce as an option. That marriage is for life.
What have various judges done when trying to hold a trial with an abusive defendant? I have seen them placed in an alternate room, gagged with devices, fined, held in contempt, jailed during the trial & after the trial.Plenty of things that Judges try but nothing stops if they the defendant can not follow laws or rules of the court like the guy who ran over the people in the Christmas Parade trial, or most recently Mr. Trump who can not stop himself from speaking ill of or doxing the members of the court .
I believe the defendant’s conduct towards the mother-in-law in court should be weighed as much as the defendant’s lack of remorse. So I have no problem with the judge’s nailing her with that. That said, the judge’s comments about mothers is just completely ridiculous.
Great show. I like your exploration of the psychological aspects of the murder. And not to make light of it, I’ll never look at biranhi, which I like, the same way again. This woman was cold, calculating and absolutely pitiless.
I would imagine that a life sentence in an Indian prison would be far worse than a quick death.

Congratulations on your success! Really enjoyed this podcast. I always enjoy when Mike is a guest. The end was fun.
I feel the boyfriend was spared from hanging because the wife planned and directed it all. So sad for the kids.
Hello Yvette
I can imagine the woman took all the blame to herself on purpose, so that her friend doesn't get hanged.
This is sad 😢
I did not see her actions in court but I think this judge was great calling out her behavior towards surviving damily members.
Always appreciate your presentation Ana....You have stellar guests.
It is the custom for wife duty to respect and take care of her in laws. That is why parents.are very much involved in choosing of the wife .
But what was said to the MIL? How was she harassing her? I dont doubt that it happened, I'm just curious as to what was said.
Hello trace
I'm so glad I never used drugs like that. I react differently than others. Could either be a horrible violent or traumatic experience, or I'd be completely unaffected and bored....
Why is this cop laughing and smiling!!.its so insensitive and disrespectful!.its not a time to be laughing or smiling (at all!).
Love Ana! And I really enjoyed this guest also.
I always love watching True Crime and have been hooked .....
0in Connecticut, there a prison built of stone in ~1650. It was in use in liberal Connecticut until the mid-1950s.
(There might be further repercussions for her from relatives.)
The lover committed the murder, but he's not given the death penalty. Looks like another move to keep insurgent daughters-in law in their places.
The de-humanizing conditions of these prisons are concern on a human rights level, a generally very sad situation.
He's why they didn't get away with it initially. They said that in this.
While typically your area correct. This time they did this
Anna, EVERYDAY I go to town with my Bluetooth speaker & listen to your podcast shows. I'm an old lady

I watch diligently.Anna I've watched You on every show I think you've ever been on and have always loved your work and heart. ❤
2 of my favorite you tube content presenters!!! Great show!
She's probably limber enough, all that yoga
First the boyfriend was a cheater he wanted both he’s pathetic
Wonderful commentating on these cases Ana. The case in India is so horrific it's so hard to fathom. I absolutely think that behavior of the convicted should be included in sentencing especially in this case. Not that showing remorse would change anything, but remorse is somewhat of a mere consolation for the victims family. More than that it always gets to me when such horrific crimes may not get the justice it deserves so yes tack on the behavior too of these slime bag murderers.
Well done on over 5m subscribers!
Congratulations on your 5million subscribers 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ana, I've been watching true crime videos/podcasts on RUclips for months, so how did I JUST find you?! YAAAY that I did 😁
Exactly!! How on earth have you? I hope you can go back and watch all through the years of Ana's awesome work!
❤ your show.❤ Mike King
I had no idea hanging was still a thing in 2023.
yes, her actions showed her lack of remorse and her cruel abusive personality.
I believe the defendant’s conduct towards the mother-in-law in court should be weighed as much as the defendant’s lack of remorse.
So I have no problem with the judge’s nailing her with that.
That said, the judge’s comments about mothers is just completely ridiculous.
Excellent guest!! 👏
To all you out there. Happy Godzilla Day!
Great show. I like your exploration of the psychological aspects of the murder. And not to make light of it, I’ll never look at biranhi, which I like, the same way again. This woman was cold, calculating and absolutely pitiless.
My New York accent comes out really strong too, when I am pi**ed off. Glad I'm not the only one. lol
