- The Toxic Avenger, 'Toxie' for short, is the brainchild of Lloyd Kaufman of Troma Entertainment, who created 'The Toxic Avenger' series, 'Tromeo and Juliet', and 'Class of Nuke Em' High'. It was low-brow, over the top, violent, and shameless; the stuff of B-movie legends that made 'The Toxic Avenger' a cult classic. Until one day, Toxie decided to premier in a children's cartoon called 'The Toxic Crusaders'. To appeal to the children, he had to tone down the violence while putting an environmental message similar to 'Captain Planet'. What could be more toxic than 'The Toxic Crusaders'? How about creating a series of games that's so toxic, it requires TWO reviewers to clean-up this monstrosity! This is AVGN Episode 111

I worked with Lloyd. I played his Toxie for Return to Return of Nuke Em High screening. He was such an awesome person! His wife the comish was very nice! He signed a bunch of stuff for me. I loved Troma since I was little. That was a dream come true. I’m a filmmaker, and they say never meet your heros. That’s not always the case.

I saw Lloyd Kaufman at Megacon today in Orlando, FL. It was awesome, he just showed up on the floor and he got a huge ovation. He had the Toxic Avenger in tow and dressed in a snazzy white tux.

Anyone who's never seen a Troma film probably isn't going to get this. I love Troma & AVGN so this video is a classic! Lloyd Kaufman is as crazy as crazy gets, he's the best. but his weirdness can be overpowering at some times, but that's what makes him such a unique guy.
James and Lloyd really REALLY need to make a feature film together. Kaufman's still at it, afterall. Shakespeare's Shitstorm just came out.
